This one may be the toughest poll of the season for me. There were a lot of good scenes but I'm going to throw my vote to an atypical one. I choose the confrontation between Dante and Cage. It was powerful to me and I'm glad Cage didn't commit patricide because that would have been too easy.
ReplyDeleteI was about to post on here that was my favorite scene. When Ray Barry plays ruthless or badass, he is scary. When he told Cage to get out of his face, I don't know how he didn't run. I'm glad he didn't commit patricide too because I really hope we can see Ray Barry for a few more episodes, if not in S3.
ReplyDeleteI liked Clarke and Lexa's missile conversation best. I find the influence they have on each other's decision-making quite interesting. It will likely spell trouble for both of them eventually.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite scenes in order-
ReplyDeleteCage vs Dante
Octavia tough loves Lincoln
Abby looks at Clarke like she has no idea who she is and the "blood on your hands" dialogue.
The shot of the missile explosion. (no matter how I feel about this development, the scene was really well done and beautifully shot)
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who found it powerful. I've liked Dante's character ark most this season, but if he survives after Mount Weather falls all he has to look forward to is grounder justice. He had no problem with slaughtering them.
ReplyDeleteI liked their character interaction best out of everyone's. I too think they are headed for trouble and there's no way they come out of this decision unscathed. I don't think it will stay a secret for long and it will be interesting if the 100 turn on Clarke.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Octavia's speech to Lincoln as well. It was one I was considering voting for, It's the only speech that had a good outcome of the episode. I would put the death of Tsing way up there too, mostly because I've hated that character from the begining and was wondering when she would go.
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to see her go, but it was so quick. Even for the fast paced show. After the last few episodes, I feel Octavia is the strongest character of them all. If we could see more of her and her story, she would probably be in my top 5 female characters.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Clarke/Raven hud, I didn't expect it at all
ReplyDeleteI want to know how they all react to this once they find out and if anyone will try to keep it from Bellamy. I actually want to see a confrontation between Octavia and Clarke on this. It doesn't have to be bond breaking, but words do need to be said.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Bellamy will find out and how he will feel knowing she basically left Octavia to die to save him and the others. I have issues with that being the only way but that's a long review and philosophical debate my brain can't handle right now.
It was really good to see them finally getting along. I love how Raven didn't snap at Clarke for Clarke taking her frustration out on her too.
ReplyDeleteOctavia and Kane are my two favorite characters right now and they have been since about halfway through season 1. I think they have both grown tremendously and they tend to have the better plans as far as seeing more than one side goes.
ReplyDeleteClarke may end up in the Grounder's camp with Octavia if she's not careful.
ReplyDeleteThere;s no way they can keep it a secret. Too many people know. I also would like to see some consequences for their actions and it ought to push Clarke off the pedestal everyone has her on. You can't lead without trust and this was trustbreaking for sure. I too have some logic issues on both sides of the missile issue, grounder/Ark and Mount Weather. It feels like everyone rushed into a situation without examining the consequences.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm thinking she just made a sharp left turn into Indra training myself. Better than following Ex-Chancellor "Don Quixote" Jaha's windmills though. His up with hope speeches have me wishing he was the one who was knocked unconcscious. I hope he finds Oz soon but I can almost guarantee it's been taken over by flying monkeys.
ReplyDeleteEvery time Jaha starts flapping his gums I'm waiting for someone in the group to lean over to someone else and say "What has this guy been smoking and what are we doing here?"
ReplyDeleteI voted for the Clarke/Abby scene simply because it was incredible acting by Eliza Taylor&Paige Turco. There will forever be controversy about what Clarke did both for us as viewers and for her friends and people. Death would occur no matter which way it went sadly. I don't think it will be kept secret... as it shouldn't but I do think the consequences of her choice will most definitely be explored more for herself than how other characters may react.. The others won't turn on her because they've never been in her situation and maybe never will. I'd personally like Clarke to take a back seat at the end of the finale or going into s3 not because I don't think she's a capable leader she's a human being that has long since hit her breaking point.. (We've seen it develop since 209) and she'll need some time to focus on healing herself before moving forward.. Sadly I don't know if the writers will let her. Closing the dropship door.. Killng Finn.. Now the missile. I fear if whatever catastrophe happens with Mt.Weather also falls on her.. she may never come back from it.
ReplyDelete** probably unpopular opinion but I think the whole Clarke leaving Octavia & Kane to die was somewhat sloppy writing. It's light outside when Clarke&Lexa decide to flee.Afterward its still light outside when Octavia searches the woods & comes across Lincoln. Then its suddenly dark when Clarke&Lexa have only made it mere inches away from the entrance of tondc. What exactly what they were doing in the meantime? I understand Clarke made a sacrifice or mistake(whichever way you look at it) but am I really supposed to believe she wouldn't try to find Octavia&Kane? The whole reason Clarke made the decision that she did was for HER people ... And then JR tweets someone saying something along the lines of "clarke wouldn't have been able to find Octavia" all very strange to me.
The scene between Abby and Clarke after the bombing was outstanding! Also, Tsing's death was so incredibly satisfying.
ReplyDeleteJasper leads the shortest rebellion on the planet but Bellamy causes a containment breach and Tsing dies
ReplyDeleteLet's relive the best moment, shall we? :D
