By the way, is it just me or is there a new music theme (variation)? I don't seem to recognize it but I'm currently in "exam phase" at university so I'm not really thinking at full capacity right now :P
Yes, there def is a new theme similar to sound/feel of the main theme that's run throughout the series - I have an ear for music and find the score for the show is one of the things I love most about it. I wonder if there's some significance for this new theme because usually a new theme goes along with a new important character being introduced (Root, Shaw, Elias, Greer, Martine, Samaritan, Control, etc) There's recurring themes as well for Reese's action scenes, The Inner Workings of the Machine, and Harold (featured both in present scenes as well as his flashbacks)
You’re right. At first, I thought that Finch was just being careful, so as to stick to their new names and avoid attracting Samaritan’s attention (after all, he also started to refer to Shaw as Sameen at some point), but I think it has more to do with his perspective on these relationships shifting. He seems to be more relaxed around his closest associates this season... Now, his suspicion and paranoia are reserved exclusively for... well, for everyone else, I guess ;-)
I I noticed too that Finch is starting to call everyone by their first names more and more. He even calls Root ...well... Root. instead of Ms. Groves. He even called her Samantha in ep 13 when they learned they followed a wrong lead in the search for Shaw.
It probably is due to their covers. They've kept their first names but not the surnames. Therefore to keep their covers Finch is calling everyone by their first names.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Love John's casual entrance and the realization that he's on the women's floor as all the women give him dirty looks!
ReplyDeleteOh, John. I love how he notices where he is, lol.

ReplyDeleteIs it just me or has Finch been smiling more lately?
ReplyDeleteSlechte hond! XD
ReplyDeleteHe also seems to be calling Reese "John" instead of "Mr. Reese" more, I think.
