Interesting. Her crossing paths with one or all of the Queens of Darkness makes sense.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the Snow Queen's already gone. Rebecca Mader and Elizabeth Mitchell together would have been something.
I'm really happy to know that.
ReplyDeleteShe's such an amazing actress. ♥
All types of YES to this!
ReplyDeleteAwesomeeee
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteGREAT NEWS!
ReplyDeleteNow that is the kind of news that highlights my day !
ReplyDeleteI wish she could come back as a regular though.
Happy to hear that. My second most missed character will be back!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for her! She really deserves it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see her again. Though I really don't know how she'll return but well... as long as she does.
Yaaaaaaaaaay! Can't express how happy I am. Her snet off was a bit anticlimactic I hope she interacts with Cruella
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Zelena is one of my favorite villains on the show so this is awesome :)
ReplyDeletethey said flashbacks. so she'll just be in things from the past.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spoiler!
ReplyDeleteYESS!I loved her.Great news!
ReplyDeleteI would love if all the villains had a sass off. Just imagine rumple, cora, pan, zelena, Ingrid, regina, QoD all in a battle to see who the best and their onscreen presence for like a special.
ReplyDeleteWould be hilarious to have Greg and tamera be stuck outside because they weren't invited lol
Yaaay!!
ReplyDeletebast news for me today!!
Loved Zelena
Thats really awesome news! #WickedIsBack :) There's so much girl power this season it's great to see.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. As a die hard fan, I'm happy with everything they decide. But, listening to fans' wishes will ruin the show (if that hasn't happened yet).
ReplyDeleteShe probably at one point was a Queen of Darkness, or was possibly going to join/be recruited?
ReplyDeleteZelena!!!!I love her character and I think writers didn't know how to use her potential. It will be great to see her again.
ReplyDeletewhat? why? I kind of thought that arc was over...
ReplyDeleteoh flashblacks, nvm
ReplyDeleteI like that idea very plausible
ReplyDeleteGood news.
ReplyDeleteAMAZINGNESS!!!
ReplyDeleteomgggggggggggg yessssssssssss this my fucking day!!! So happy!!!!!! I don't care if it's the past yay
ReplyDeleteI love it! I love it! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna assume it's a flashback... Maybe her appearance explores the Cruella ties to the enchanted forest they were talking about?
ReplyDeleteI wish it wasn't only flashbacks. I just thought she died too easily IMO. It won't happen, but would be delighted if there could be a Fringe-esque 'Roads Not Taken' element with the Author Story Line and she could live again...
ReplyDeleteI agree with this! I love the split seasons/ arcs format that OUAT has adopted but they are treading on dangerous territory and running the risk of getting too formulaic with the whole "villain in storybrooke + villain has mysterious evil plan + everyone is in danger + nobody can beat him + someone does + villain dies". I have enjoyed all arcs so far but in the Frozen arc I felt some things were a bit played off already. I do think this upcoming arc will change that though, which is part of the reason I am so excited for it. And linking with previous arcs is a great way to do just that ;)
ReplyDeleteExactly. I kind of think though that this second half is reminiscent of how season 2 worked, along with some season 2 tie backs, except that it sounds like we may get a better payoff with the mythos! (at least, I hope so!)
ReplyDeleteGreat! I love her! She deserves to be in main cast! Rebecca Mader, Emilie de Ravin, Elizabeth Mitchell... lost cast <3
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I loved her madness! She was so passionately being crazy. "I will get your heart. I will get everything you ever had!"
ReplyDeleteMader played her so good and her scenes with Parrilla were awesome.
I actually want to chime into this discussion and say that I don't think Zelena is actually dead at all. I think that's what the producers want us to think, even though i've heard from sources that Adam did state she will only be in flashbacks..that doesn't necessarily mean she is definitely dead and gone as a character. I wouldn't be surprised if she popped back up later on in the series at some point because her death was definitely a trick.
ReplyDeleteThe Oz prophecy was never fulfilled (Dorothy is the only one who can actually defeat her, or of course, Emma who is the stronger prevailer of light magic.) Remember, Rumples dagger is dark magic, and when he used it to "kill her" all she did was tune to porcelain, shatter, then disappear with her magic releasing from the pendant. Glinda said that the pendant is her life, I think she meant legitimately speaking. Also noticed the smirk on her face before rumple stabbed her, and it mimicked her past scenario of tricking Glinda into thinking Dorothy killed her by melting so well, and then returning to banish Glinda. I wonder how literal in the future this sequence will pan out. I think he is keeping Zelena intertwined with characters and storylines now to keep open doors for her return, despite what people say about low-ratings, etc. She was an excellent addition to the show and my favorite villain on top of all. Also, Rumple did claim she was the most powerful (compared to regina and cora) there is no way she just died the pathetic way she did and that's that. I'm sure something will curvature in the future to bring her back.

Rumple is Glinda/Dorothy in present day, believing he had successfully killed her; yet there is something brewing with the writers I believe still about her open-ended "death". I wonder how literal in the future this sequence will pan out. I think he is keeping Zelena intertwined with characters and storylines now to keep open doors for her return, despite what people say about low-ratings, etc. She was an excellent addition to the show and my favorite villain on top of all. Also, Rumple did claim she was the most powerful sorceress he ever encountered (this doesn't limit to cora and regina considering now we have learned he has come across and trained many others) there is no way she just died the pathetic way she did and that's that. I'm sure something will curvature in the future to bring her back.
My theory at the end of last season was she went into the past with Emma and Hook, but was not strong enough to do exactly what she had planned. I thought maybe she became Marian disguise (another way to gilt Regina) and came back with them, but she's shown no signs of being like Zelena the little bit we have seen of her this season, but maybe her conscience is lingering inside??? I didn't think she could die without the stones being crushed/destroyed and I don't recall that happening,
ReplyDeleteBut I agree with you that it never made any sense to me and that someone like her could just be dead so flatly and without anything that feels very gratifying for what we were told about her... and you brought up A LOT of unfinished business that I forgot about that would also point to a potential surprise in 4B!!
I think I'm a bit more hopeful now :)
When are the writers of this show going to dump this light magic=goodness, dark magic=evil crap? It's infantile bullshit. Why can't they grow up?
