Looking - Looking for Truth - Advance Preview
13 Feb 2015
Looking Reviews ROLooking will continue its second season next Sunday on HBO, with “Looking for Truth”. And it will be another exciting and great episode.
“Looking for Truth” will mainly focus on Patrick and Richie ! Yeah #teamRichie ! Finally, now Patrick has more free time, and I’m so thrilled he will spend it with Richie. They’re becoming friends, after everything that happened between, it’s very cool. I’ve never been friend with an ex. There is always that weird vibe between two people who had been together and I always find it very hard to cut that link and go on like it has never happened. And if you talk about it, it’s even awkward. And of course, there is always that tension about ulterior motives from one of them.
In Patrick and Richie’s case, I think it’s kind of obvious Pat wants more from just a friendship from Richie. It’s just something I feel. I don’t think he wants to get back with Richie right away, but it’s one of the reasons he’s spending more time with him, to know him more and why not fall for him.
Patrick and Richie’s scenes will be very cute. I really appreciate Jonathan Groff and Raul Castillo’s chemistry. It really works well on screen. But they won’t be the only ones spending sweet time.
Agustin will visit Eddie’s place again. I must say I just love that scene and how it’s decorated. Agustin and Eddie are continuing spending time and learning about each other. Agustin will finally ask Eddie about his seropositivity and how he got it. As usual, Eddie will prove to be so funny, even on that serious matter. Agustin is definitely charming and adorable with Eddie.
And here’s a list of what you can also expect from “Looking for Truth”
- An epic dance scene on “Finally” from Ce Ce Peniston. Oh yeah, that song. I just loved it and of course I danced too watching the guys ! I’ll bet you’ll dance as well until…We’ll be glued to your screen.
- And a funny car wash scene. I don’t know why but there’s this thing about car wash. I’m probably still influenced by that Ally McBeal’s episode.
- Patrick and Kevin will share a scene together and I’m sure you’ll all be very proud of Patrick. His speech to Kevin will be flawless and just perfect. But it doesn’t mean it’s the last of Kevin we will see. Actually, he will have scenes without Patrick !
- Patrick will meet Agustin’s cousin and she’s hilarious. She’s kind of a latino Doris and she has that nickname for Pat, it’s Spanish so I can’t really write it but it sounds like “son of a bitch”
- About Doris and Dom, that’s just the worst part of the episode. I’m a little upset about it… They do not even appear :( :( :( So hard to watch Looking without Doris, it's less funny and dynamic. But it means more time for Pat and Richie so I'm ok. (She better be back next week !)
- Richie will also meet another member of his family while he’s with Patrick. This member will be very less funny and less cool than his cousin.
- And finally, Patrick will say something to Richie, that could put their newly friendship at risk. Oh oh…
"Looking for Truth" is an excellent episode, you can't miss it ! Are you excited about it ? What are your thoughts on this second season so far ? Hit the comments !

When you said you were say something bad about Dom and Doris, I thought you were going to say that they had a ugly fight that threatened their friendship. Thank God for that. I wonder if the thing Patrick says that puts his friendship with Richie is him confessing the fact he slept with Kevin before he and Richie broke up.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming Patrick meets Richie's cousin and not Agustin's cousin...
ReplyDeleteRe: Patrick & Richie, it could be. At the end of the promo Patrick apologizes to Richie so it could be that or an apology for how their relationship imploded overall and the events leading up to it such as Dom's birthday and the wedding. But it could be an apology for his issues with Richie's background. He wouldn't own up to that when they were dating so maybe now he's willing to admit that he had a problem with it.
ReplyDeleteThat could be it. Either way, it will hurt Richie at the time but I think he and Patrick will better off in the long haul. They need to clear the air between them about certain things if they are ever going to get back together. And when I say "if", I actually mean "when".
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your optimism. I'm Team Richie. I really like Patrick & Richie together. I like their chemistry. I think Richie makes him a better person in a way that Kevin doesn't. I like that Richie challenges him and doesn't coddle him.
ReplyDeleteI read an interview with Michael Lannan where he said that they didn't want to do the "typical" love triangle so I wonder if they'll bring Patrick & Richie back together; maybe that would be too easy???
Finally someone else who is Team Richie and not Kevin. I hate that some people in the (tiny) fandom apologize everything Kevin does because he's hot. Anyway, if this is not going to be a typical love triangle then that makes it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm definitely ready to watch this episode. Team Richie all the way!
ReplyDeleteSad about the lack of Doris and Dom, they are my favorites by far.
