It is. Scandal returned to a its third best ratings, Murder has been the highest since the midseason premiere and Grey's is incredibly high.

ReplyDeleteIt's just slightly higher. CW should seriously reconsider it's priorities with The Messengers.

I can see iZombie renewed, as I guess both Flash impact, DC series and other factors are going to get some viewership for it. However The Messengers placed in a "death slot" for premiere and no repeats or anything aired at other times is just really bad. Even Star-Crossed didn't have a treatment this bad, they've placed it in a bad slot but at least gave it repeats for two weeks. I doubt The Messengers really has a chance of premiering higher than with a 0.5 premiere. Maybe it could have a 0.6-0.7 on Thursday after The Vampire Diaries, not as TVD effect but more as a "it's not on Friday effect".
ReplyDeleteI think The 100 would be wasted in Summer, it would be better used in Fall/Spring to share with another show that has a short season so they could have less repeats. On the other hand The 100 is the only show they have that they know will give good ratings anywhere.

ReplyDeleteThat The 100 would most likely get a 0.5 at any time of year and day. I could see it get 0.5 on Fridays during summer or any other time.

ReplyDeleteWhy should CW reconsider thier priorities with Messngers?Janes gotten awards critical acclaim,Flash great ratings so Czw can afford to sacrifice one new show.Plus ,no new show has done well ( other than sampling the first couple episodes) for long behind VD & in that regard VD isn't a good leadin and nowdays,ratings wise VD isn't a good leadin and will be at 0.6. Maybe 0.4-0.6 in spring a really bad rated leadin.Messengers will still go up against Scsndal & heavy Thurd competition which would most Likley kill it anyway.There's no gaurenteed that past the pilot Messengers wouldn't get 0.4s just like Reign and Heck,Cult premired st 0.3.,Star-Crossed at 0.4 so who's to say Messengers wouldn't debut that low too?(even with a VD leadin).People would complain if VD was lower in spring and used as leadin like they did saying Tzo at 0.5-9.7 was too low rated to lead a night and HoD two years ago at 0.5-0.6 was too low rated to leadin to EOMD ,then Cult.Not every show can get great leadins,timeslots ect and not evey new show can.VD is also not Czws highest rated show & best leadin anymore and CW is smart to use thier three highest rated shows-Flash,Arrow,SPN-to help new shows -though they're actually only using Flash-.Also,it seems Czw has higher hopes/expectations for and more faith in IZombie.

ReplyDeleteReign but think that even though it does "poor" ratings we should
consider that it is doing well against tough competition.
Moving The Messengers in at this point wouldn't do good for anyone, VD is loosing steam rating wise and Scandal is doing tremendously well.
The
Messengers should try out their luck on Friday, would be happy if their
pilot gets a post Flash stream but don't see it happen.
Reigns 0.4 isn't good but it's not that terrible either-CWs have done 0.3s andwose regularly and Reigns doing better than BatB did in season two.Plus,look at Czw this week-only Flash & Arrow managed a 1.0 or higher.VD got 0.7,SPN 0.8The 100 0.5,Tzo & Jane 0.6,,HoD will probably get 0.4-my point being that more than half the lineup isn't doing a ton better,some but not a lot cause CW had a bad week except Mon(were up I think or at least even) &Flash & Arrow,the rest was bad or down.With Jane & HoD also typically in the same 0.4-0.5 demo range as Reign too.
