  1. Cary Fukunaga not winning for True Detective's Who Goes There is shocking, that 6 minute tracking shot was phenomenal.

  2. Nice to see James Burrows get some well deserved lifetime achievement love!
    He's directed and produced some of the best sitcoms ever on TV!


    If I were shopping a new sitcom I would want him to direct my pilot!

  3. Oh I know he isn't the only one involved in that incredible scene but his work on the show as a whole really deserves some love. But True Detective hasn't really worked with the awards people, McConaughey never picked up as many awards for it as people expected either. Its a shame.

    But let us also give credit where credit is due. And a perfect undisturbed tracking shot? That's a technical accomplishment. I'd give the DP more credit for that...
