This is not what I was expecting, in a good way, it looks really dark and gritty. Looking forward to this. :) The explosions like really cool as does the fighting.
Well it's gonna be on Netflix. They can do whatever the hell they want haha. I'm pretty sure it's gonna have the M rating, just like all the other Netflix original shows.
I love the mature and dark tone to it. Just how Daredevil should be! Now the haters can shut up about Marvel not having any gritty/mature offerings when they have this. Also, the action was so great, including the explosions, and Hell's Kitchen looks pretty damn cool so far. The Man Without Fear is almost here! Bring on April 10th :D
It`s going to be PG-15 ish. So not to extreme violent, but that`s not really Daredevil either. The things we need to see in Daredevil is that he`s not a perfect superhero that can woop ass in seconds. He needs to get kicked the shit out of him. He cant just make it every time.
Looks completely different to anything the MCU has currently done and I think that is a good idea, the whole point of the Netflix shows was to show a different, darker side to the MCU and also focus on the criminal aspect of the world and I think this does exactly what its meant to. Really can't wait to see the full series and for the rest of the world of the street level superheroes to slowly expand.
Karen Page (Woll) is the leading woman of the show, and she will be trouble if they follow that character in the comics. But i think the show will follow Kingpin even deeper than her, since the wife of Kingpin is on the show. And some other important people around that character.
Looks good. Wish that Marvel was not so set on all four series having to be 13 episodes though, I think 10 hours sounds about right for these kinds of shows.
He'll eventually get the red suit. They're following the Frank Miller comic, where Matt started in this black ninja outfit and later on got the red suit.
The creators of this show have also hinted that he'll eventually get the red suit in the show as well :)
I may actually check it out! I haven't watched any heroes/supernatural stuff (besides OUaT, True Blood, Hemlock Grove and The Gates, I guess, but I mean those based on comic books actually) since I was a child...and I feel a weird temptation to get reeled in once again. Wanted to give Arrow a shot, but now it's a lot of catching up to do...may actually start with The Flash. Any advice?
Hmm I don't know what to say. I wouldn't propose The Flash to start with. I mean it's a great show and really entertaining from the begging, but quite mythology heavy from the start. Arrow doesn't introduce to many "big" characters right away, but is quite far along. They will soon hit quick the 60 episode mark. I'm personally more fond of the Arrow but this is just me. Maybe you should wait to watch Daredevil and get into the genre, and than binge watch the other shows during the summer.
I meant instead of Gotham being the way it is, it could have been a Batman show. No need to make Bruce a kid, but according to Heller, the DC suits told him he couldn't use Batman.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
AWESOME!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlmost jizzed my pants watching his :o
ReplyDeleteIt just didn't do anything for me.
ReplyDeleteI'll still be watching. Hopefully it'll get me soon.
This is not what I was expecting, in a good way, it looks really dark and gritty. Looking forward to this. :)
ReplyDeleteThe explosions like really cool as does the fighting.
Great!!! Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteWhen does it premier?
April 10 2015 :)
ReplyDeleteDark brooding and intense, Just the way I like it.
ReplyDeleteThis is Daredevil. This is the way you should show the character. This is really great. Great supporting cast.
ReplyDeleteFirst decent thing Marvel has put out there, though it doesn't seem so promising.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for this! It looks dark and awesome.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I prefer my Marvel with a tad lighter tone, but this might be interesting. We'll see on April 10th.
ReplyDeleteWell it's gonna be on Netflix. They can do whatever the hell they want haha. I'm pretty sure it's gonna have the M rating, just like all the other Netflix original shows.
ReplyDeleteYeayyyy!
ReplyDeletethat's Jessica? oh so she's cuckoo LOL
ReplyDeleteso what do you think the rating will be? you don't think they'll go all the way?
ReplyDeleteI love the mature and dark tone to it.
ReplyDeleteWow! This looks very good. I guess i'll add another Marvel show in mu schedule.
ReplyDeleteOK, now I'm convinced.
ReplyDeleteyou think? so no f-bombs?
ReplyDeletei like light
ReplyDeleteFirst off, NICE! Secondly, its coming out a month earlier than Marvel originally announced. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteIt`s going to be PG-15 ish. So not to extreme violent, but that`s not really Daredevil either. The things we need to see in Daredevil is that he`s not a perfect superhero that can woop ass in seconds. He needs to get kicked the shit out of him. He cant just make it every time.
ReplyDeleteI'm so exited for this one.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. If Steven. S. DeKnight as showrunner and Deborah Ann Woll as female lead hadn't already piqued my interest this trailer would have done it.
ReplyDeletelooks very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI don't even know how to respond to that.
ReplyDeleteDeKnight said PG-16ish on Twitter. Either way it should be more mature than the movies and most of the show stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat slight tease of Kingpin was just cruel. Deborah Ann Woll looks like she will have a much larger presence than I expected.
ReplyDeleteLooks completely different to anything the MCU has currently done and I think that is a good idea, the whole point of the Netflix shows was to show a different, darker side to the MCU and also focus on the criminal aspect of the world and I think this does exactly what its meant to. ReplyDeleteStill not interested much, but since it will all be available at once I will check it out.
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMGGGGGGGG *faints dramatically*
ReplyDeleteIt`s what the showrunner said, also fits with Netflix. There will be coursing, but not sure what.
ReplyDeleteKaren Page (Woll) is the leading woman of the show, and she will be trouble if they follow that character in the comics. But i think the show will follow Kingpin even deeper than her, since the wife of Kingpin is on the show. And some other important people around that character.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was is PG-16ish, i dont remember correctly was it was.
ReplyDeleteOoooooh... this looks dark and badass! I'm so on board!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy won't DC let someone make a Batman show like this? It would be a big hit.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Wish that Marvel was not so set on all four series having to be 13 episodes though, I think 10 hours sounds about right for these kinds of shows.
ReplyDeleteThis looks FANTASTIC.
ReplyDeleteI love Batman (my favourite hero) but DC needs to branch out more.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a red suit. :-(
ReplyDeleteAll Episodes April 10th? does this mean the entire season will air in one day?
ReplyDeleteThis is Marvel answer to Arrow.....dark and gritty and brutal? well at least for season 1
ReplyDeleteIt's Netflix, so all the episodes will be posted at the same time and you can bingewatch the whole season whenever you want.
ReplyDeleteHe'll eventually get the red suit. They're following the Frank Miller comic, where Matt started in this black ninja outfit and later on got the red suit.

ReplyDeleteThis show is going to have a dark tone. Definitely got an Arrow vibe from watching it.
ReplyDeleteDoes that applies to Longmire as well?
ReplyDeleteHmm I don't know what to say. I wouldn't propose The Flash to start with. I mean it's a great show and really entertaining from the begging, but quite mythology heavy from the start.

That's good. Thank you for the information.
ReplyDeletehe definitively said no crazy graphic language?
ReplyDeletewhat's the difference?
ReplyDeleteI meant instead of Gotham being the way it is, it could have been a Batman show. No need to make Bruce a kid, but according to Heller, the DC suits told him he couldn't use Batman.
ReplyDeleteI know. I just don't really want a Batman show.
ReplyDeleteIt's applied to all of Netflix's shows as far as I know, so I think that's a safe bet.
ReplyDeleteLOOKS FANTASTIC!!!!
