    I was worried the introduction of the witches would be ridiculous. But I am glad the actresses they chose are older.

    I only read the first book. I didn't like how the second book was written, so I stopped after a few pages. I actually like the series better. I like the actors and I think the show is pretty well written. I already like what I've seen of the witches.

    I want to like this show more than I do. I am not really interested in the main character's love life issues. The fact that she is the lone modern female in this all male barbaric world is interesting enough.
    I really want to see new creatures and also familiar creatures but with new mythology. Buffy, Supernatural, Angel, Blood Ties, Teen Wolf and Grimm have pretty much exhausted supernatural worlds. Anyway I am keeping my fingers crossed that I enjoy the rest of the episodes.

    I can agree that I don't care about Elena's love life. I actually find it annoying and hard to watch. The fact that she is the only female and why she is the only one is far more interesting. The other Supernatural stuff is cool but this romance is bland and rather cliche. "The pretty blonde goes for the tall brooding type with puppy eyes and a sad story."
