EXCLUSIVE: DC Comics superheroes are uniting in a potential new drama series at the CW, a spinoff from hits Arrow and The Flash that will feature several fan-favorite recurring actors/characters from both shows. I have learned that the network has teamed with Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim for a project eyed for next season toplined by Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz.
The untitled project, now in development, is described as a superhero team-up show. Routh, Miller and Garber will reprise their popular DC Comics characters — Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom (Routh), Flash villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller), and Flash‘s Dr. Martin Stein (Garber). Because her Arrow character Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary, it is unclear whether Lotz will play the same or new superhero.

I want this show!! I would watch it plus Caity Loitz is in it, love her :)
ReplyDeleteUmm Caity Lotz?
ReplyDelete???? It's not April the 1st just yet is it?
ReplyDeleteI'm a little bored of Superhero shows, but who am I kidding? I'll watch it. I love the cast. I have no idea how Lotz will fit in with it all though.
ReplyDeleteand somehow Garber without Amell makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteI call bullsh*t
At this point, they should go ahead and add a cape to the CW logo.
ReplyDeleteThey should cancel Arrow/Flash and add these characters to that teamup as well and have on big Justice League show!
ReplyDeleteLet's not get ahead of ourselves. We've already witnessed the fact that Arrow producers don't juggle a lot of characters very well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're still working out a deal with Robbie and he's just not officially on yet... *shrugs*
ReplyDeleteright?!
ReplyDeletei like arrow and the flash a lot but it's starting to be a bit too much. I don't want the cw to turn into the superhero network
ReplyDeletethat's very likely but...I'm still a bit weirded out about Caity...Lazarus Pit in the Flash canon could work though
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSupposedly next episode of Arrow is going to confirm the Lazarus Pit (scene in promo of Ra's sticking his injured hand in water)
ReplyDeleteNO CAPES! Edna Mode decrees it.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, none of them have capes so far. Leather hoodie, maybe?
This sounds great! Hopefully they can get Robbie Amell to sign too - seems weird to only have half of Firestorm. Kinda hope that Caity plays a villain this time.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like a bad thing to me.
ReplyDeleteOr just rename the network The DC(W)
ReplyDeleteJust the half FIRESTORM?
ReplyDeleteThis would be connected to Arrow/The Flash right? because Caity cant just play a new character and ignore she was "sara" once
ReplyDeleteSara is getting resurrected ( in a wheelchair or 100% evil ) via the Lazarus Pit I'm telling you.
ReplyDeleteProbably doesn't seem like a bad thing to the network suits who just renewed a handful of low-rated shows and has an underwhelming crop of pilots this year.
ReplyDeleteYES PLEASE. Caity Lotz I will take it thank you no other selling needed. Makes no sense how that works, but I don't care, I'm excited. Although, wasn't Dinah another hero at some point? Not sure, don't know comics that well. Also, where's the other half of Firestorm? This is a weird thing. Are we sure this is real?
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a better idea than making Routh hold a new spinoff on his own, though. His character has been limited on Arrow, and while I think Routh could do more if given the opportunity, I would not bet on a show built on the character he's currently got. People assumed they'd bring Felicity along to bolster up the new show, but this sounds much better.
This is a random thought flow, but if this actually happens, I think I kinda dig it. I mean, Garber and Lotz on my TV screen again? Hell yes. I'm sure I'll get tired of this at some point, but apparently we're not there yet. And I'm all for the CW pushing it's forward momentum. They've finally got some footing in the ratings; you can't blame them for trying to build on it.
OMG thank you! I've been in a very terrible mood all day and this had me laughing for like 2 minutes straight lol
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of service. :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting. I wanted an ensemble comic show for Suicide Squad, but it got a movie. This will do. I'll take a weekly dose of Wentworth Miller any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteDeadline is a pretty solid source, but I'm really confused about this as well.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Robbie Amell/Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm stays on The Flash I would be SUPER OK WITH THIS!
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for this to happen.
Sent Felicity with them........since she going to be with Ray anyway
ReplyDeleteNooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteIf anyones worried this might not be real, Marc tweeted it out and so did bunch of other people :)
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/mguggenheim/status/571109386749243392
Yeah, it's usually right and I'd normally accept it, but it is very occasionally wrong, and between no Amell and Lotz on the cast, I'm holding off a little until we get it confirmed somehow. But I'm up for it, if it's real.
ReplyDeleteHELL YES TO ALL OF THIS. I will take this show over the ATOM spinoff any day. And Caity Lotz is a part of it?! I'm in heaven.
ReplyDeleteand maybe Roy join the cast. I think they could use an archer!
ReplyDeleteSo will the 'gang' be a Justice League thing or will they be ....... ?
ReplyDelete"The Outsiders" no Big league members
ReplyDeleteI would call this show The Leftovers but that's already taken.
ReplyDeleteI did get a Outsiders vibe too
ReplyDeleteOooo. And they could incorporate like each of the hero symbols into a stylized version of the logo somehow - like the side of the D could have an arrow in it, the C could incorporate an atom somehow, and the W could be made of lightening bolts. That would be the coolest poster.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I know you're kidding, but seriously, that should be a promotional tool if they go through with this.
I honestly can't blame them for pushing the heroes considering how they've both done in the ratings this year, and with their former ratings strong vampire pairing dying out, they need to keep their new foothold. And I'd watch it, even though I'm shaky on Arrow this year, so it's not like they won't have an audience. The one problem that I see is that the great thing about the Flash was that it's a much better know superhero than Arrow or the Atom; I'm not sure how much this will build a new audience so much as just be retaining some of the Flash and Arrow fans.
I'm right there with you.
ReplyDeleteIf Thea suits up as Speedy at some point, that would certainly be a possibility.
ReplyDeleteIf they need a ratings bump they could always drag Supergirl into this.
ReplyDeleteI really wish AOS wasn't the only comic book show I liked :( I've tried em all and all have let me down. I like Victor Garber and Wentworth Miller too, it's a shame. There are getting to be a bit many now though, especially with so many more on the way.
ReplyDeleteYou're on fire today. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe laughing or the bad mood?
ReplyDeleterobbie amell?
ReplyDeleteCape mania has got me a little snarky today. :)
ReplyDeleteAdded Robbie amell and this cast would be GOLDEN!! Would definitely watch
ReplyDeleteOh! And she has a cape. Now it works.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one thinking this show is more a variety type show that will focus on a different characters back story each week.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only reason caitzy can appear.
This show being used as filler schdueled when flash/arrow on break.
Victor Garber is here but Robbie isn't?
ReplyDeleteAnd what is Caity doing here, she dead.
Holy....balls.
ReplyDeleteMy DC heart just grew.
I've never been more confused in my life... What does Sara's return means for Laurel?
ReplyDeleteSomething weird is going on... Why is Garber but not Robbie Amell? It makes no sense..
Unless... Unless each hero has it's own stand alone episode, like:
1x01 - An Atom story.
1x02 - Flashbacks about Sara.
1x03 - Flashbacks about Dr. Stein.
1x04 - An episode from Captain Cold's point of view.
All episodes may be stand alone to cover some slot in The CW summer hiatus.
My thoughts exactly.
ReplyDeleteLazarus Pit anyone?
ReplyDeleteCaity doesn't have to be Sara, she's an actress and can embody a new role.
ReplyDeleteThree questions...
ReplyDelete1) How the hell does Caity fit in?
2) Where's Robbie?
3) Whyyyyy Brandon???
Final thought: I may not like/tune in to this.
I've been saying this for so long. Warner Brothers could utilize The CW and rebrand it as a network specifically for their DC properties. They could at least slowly build up to it in adding this new series, end their other shows like Supernatural(which is going into their 11th season which should be its last), The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, etc and then finally rebrand the network for the television season afterwards.
ReplyDeletetotally and maybe she becomes a version of Oracle?
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for at least one David Lyons joke.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't fan of captain cold on the flash, and the atom is not really interesting on the arrow yet, but I'll reserve judgement on the atom, because they clearly were leaving him until the end of the season really.
ReplyDeleteThat, to me, sounds like either they haven't gotten Robbie Amell signed up to it, they only mentioned a few names just because of Ronnie dies by season end and Firestorm continues as Dr. Stein and Jason Rusch.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much for putting all your eggs in one basket but when all your non-DC shows are either middling or tumbling in the ratings then as crazy as it is it's probably worth at least a discussion.
ReplyDelete1) I have no earthly idea (yup a Diggle quote)
ReplyDelete2) Thank God he won't be in it
3) You'd he stays on Arrow????
"may"???? I'm definitely not gonna watch it.
They've had actors play as different minor characters before, so while I wouldn't put it past them if they want Caity to play as someone else, this only makes me believe even more that Sara will be resurrected.
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea about the flashbacks - so much story they could tell about her time with LoA and we could get Nyssa flashbacks too. I think they could go one of two ways with Caity if they wanted to keep her in the present time they can give her a new role that has nothing to do with Canary/LoA or, they could use the Lazarus Pit to bring her back...but if they bring her back, I hope they make her a baddy...as in using the LP makes her a batshit crazy villain.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking summer too. CW seems to be taking this expansion into summer seriously so I think this show airing in summer would be a good way to bridge the gap on the regular seasons of Arrow/Flash (and filming schedule would probably make cameo appearances by both casts easier).
but didn't the Arrow writers strictly say that Arrow wouldn't go down that superpower road?
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Firestorm, The Atom, Capitain Cold and (potentially? Lazarus Pit?) Sara all in one show. I love the arrowverse.
ReplyDeleteKatana needs to show up now.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'll leave that one up to Community.
ReplyDeleteShe might not be able to, at least the actress, Rila, she joined the NBC pilot Warrior.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm in love with this idea. It sounds like a live-action take on something you'd find in a cartoon. Even Batman:TAS had stand-alone episodes here and there that didn't cover any of the major plots or arcs. I would LOVE this idea. Something fresh and new, but would also combine the contrasting tones from both Arrow and Flash without having to make something new that would feel weird just because Arrow and Flash are perfect enough with their contrast.
ReplyDeleteThis just sounds ridiculous on so many levels..
ReplyDeleteI would prefer to see her as this universe's White Canary. But since you mentioned Oracle, I now want The Huntress to be in this series.
ReplyDeleteNBC? Oh, it'll get cancelled, lol.
ReplyDeleteWould they really spoil a MAJOR shocker like Sara's resurrection this way?
ReplyDeleteno i don't want her evil not after all she went through
ReplyDeleteIt exists in Arrow canonically. So it's cool.
ReplyDeleteWell it's a different step than what Marvel has been doing. They've been sticking to their Disney-based networks like ABC and also Netflix. For Warner Brothers to create an entire network for their DC properties, it will be risky, but I think it'll be smart and definitely creative enough that it just might work. Also, not every comic book has to be all action-y. You could have some fun in making complete dramas, a comedy, etc. It all depends on the projects that are going to be developed.
ReplyDeleteThen Guggenheim after the crossover said he had a change of heart in an interview.
ReplyDeleteWhite Canary doesn't have to be evil in this universe. Just another "Canary" like Red Robin.
ReplyDeleteNot the first time stuff like that has happened. Maybe she's someone else. I doubt they'd cast her in a big role as someone else though.
ReplyDeleteoh for real?
ReplyDeleteHopefully, they will get Robbie Amell to sign on (he may not be the best actor but he played off garber well, IMO) but if not, recasting another actor as Jason Rusch would work too. I just really hope this show happens!
ReplyDeleteIf by that you mean sick then yes. Yes it does.
ReplyDeleteYep, what Graydon said. Guggenheim had a change of heart
ReplyDeletehaha true :) I'd love for her to be on this show too :)
ReplyDeleteJust think about having, for example, a whole 43 minutes episode about Slade Wilson and how he found his way out of the bottom of the sea...
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are endless...
Thanks.
ReplyDeleteRusch has already been cast and I think he would do just fine.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, I hope this is just a mistake and Robbie will show up. I too enjoyed his chemistry with Garber.
Both.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I didn't realize they already cast someone for Rusch - I keep getting the movie and TV casting news mixed up!
ReplyDeleteWell, White Canary is evil in the comics, but I just think White Canary can be one of the good guys in this universe, like Red Robin, who's Tim Drake in the comics(the third Robin as Robin is now Damien Wayne).
ReplyDeleteYah, Rusch has even appeared on The Flash already. It was in "Revenge of the Rogues".
ReplyDeleteI need to hear more about this and soon, such as Caity's presence and who else will be in the series.
ReplyDeleteoh cool
ReplyDeleteCan we get some of Jessica de Gouw's Huntress in on this as well?
ReplyDeletenope there was a post-mortem after yesterday's episode that had them basically confirming the existence of The Lazarus Pit AND we're having our first Metahuman
ReplyDeleteAs an example. Doctor Who for instance is notorious for having actors appear in different parts in the same universe.
ReplyDeleteVariety would be crucial but in theory I could see it working.
ReplyDeleteNo. Justice league 3 hour special. Oh and a suicide squad one featuring Slade and maybe Malcolm. It'd be way too expensive. And I like separate shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the show could be a mix of things. Each episode focuses on a different character and it's a 10-13 episode series used to fill in the gap when arrow flash are not on air.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that makes caity in it making sense.
My thoughts exactly, that's what I thought. This series airing to fill gaps in the schduele when flash and arrow are not on air.
ReplyDeleteI hope they also decide/ try to connect Titans if it's picked up.
ReplyDeleteSo Black Canary will be alive? HOW?. I dont watch the Flash so i dunno who the otehrs guys are. But the CW wanted an Atom spin off. This assemble can work.
ReplyDeleteI can see it happening tbh.
It's the only thing that even begins to make sense of that line up for a show. There is a ton of cool side-stories they can tell during hiatuses.
ReplyDeleteRight. I forgot about that one. Is that a TNT project?
ReplyDeleteYeah.
ReplyDeleteWell shit. I TOTALLY missed that. Definitely going to need a rewatch over the summer!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the Atom / Firestorm Hour to begin !!!
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be some diversification of shows. Plus I like The Originals, The 100, JTV, and even TVD still.
ReplyDeleteI will probably like this more than Arrow and The Flash. It has Captain Cold and Victor Garber. This is going to be fun to watch develop.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
ReplyDeleteNo. Not until he works with Stephen. There must be at least one joke about physical similarities. And the bloopers would be cool. Plus I like his stuff with Garber.
ReplyDeleteBack to the teenage-drama where we cast supermodels-channel?
ReplyDeleteRed Robin is Tim's equivalent to Nightwing though. He's not a Robjin. But true.
ReplyDeletewhat's a Robjin? and is it possible for the Sara thing?
ReplyDeleteI agree, so much they do with side characters.
ReplyDeleteI see no reason oliver, felicity etc. need to appear unless they are in other side characters back stories.
Id rather see Sara's back story than her being resurrected. Seriously her death is talked about and mourned more than any character, heck even Moira is forgotten. All in season 1 she's mentioned now in season 3. She needs to stay dead.
Sorry that was an error. Meant Robin. It's possible for her to be a hero if she's alive for sure.
ReplyDeleteawesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSince they are able to control their shared powers and separate themselves at will I have this funny feeling Martin Stein will move over to "The Atom Firestorm Hour" well Ronnie Raymond will remain on The Flash with girl Caitlin and whenever Firestorm is needed on either show ( crossover episodes ) both men will come together to fight crime.
ReplyDeleteLove the enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe Caity is playing Harley Quinn... She has the looks and the make up will make no one notice she's Sara...
ReplyDeleteI'm just looking for characters she could still play...
This just sounds like a mess at the moment. I'm going to need more info before I decide but I've watched plenty of shows that were a mess, I'm probably going to watch this too.
ReplyDeleteCaity would be an excellent Harley. But I think that character is embargoed into the DCCU with the Suicide Squad.
ReplyDeleteYou make it sound like sex = trapped in a relationship for life :p
ReplyDeleteCaity Lotz? I am in like Flynn. On like Donkey Kong. SIgn me up.
ReplyDeleteJust make sure you add 'Wonder Woman' to 'The 'Super Friends' Hour CW.
ReplyDeleteIs it really spoiling though? It says Caity Lotz but not who as.
ReplyDeleteAlso who knows CW could come out and say this report or some of the particulars are wrong.
Yes, that's what I mean. I'm totally cool with Caity getting more work as a different character. But leave Sara dead and buried this time.
ReplyDeleteWhen Marc Guggenheim retweets it, it's pretty official confirmation.
This would be great but if they replace Caity with someone else like The Huntress, this could be AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteAny chance after Oliver takes over he'll appoint a new leader ( Ray ? ) and this will end up being a League of Assassins show ?
ReplyDeleteWith The Flash's ratings and Arrow's improvement, i guess maybe they can use her... After all, they're using a Flash, Deadshot, Waller, etc who should be in the movie too.
ReplyDeleteI heard DC said no to Guggenheim & Co using her anymore, hence why the poor man's Harley a.ka Cupid got on the Suicide Squad.
ReplyDeleteThere shouldn't be an equivalent to Nightwing because Nightwing is as close as anyone can get to be Batman in that "family".
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outsiders_(comics)
ReplyDeleteBlack Canary is alive, Laurel never died. Sarah was the Canary, not Black Canary.
ReplyDeletelol no. Jane the Virgin and the 100 are both stronger shows (imo obviously) than Arrow and The Flash and neither are anything like say a Gossip Girl or a 90210 esque show. So I would say I'd rather have the CW explore more comedy/dramedy and Post Apocolyptic shows along the same lines as JtV and the 100. Also after watching the first few episodes of iZombie, i think theres potential in the more campy, graphic novel esque shows as well for the cw to explore.
ReplyDeleteNo! I'd rather him not get a spinoff with my characters AT ALL!.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Just came from watching The Duff. (So good) I have a new found love for Robbie. = D
I'm guessing Sarah gets Lazarus Pitted; otherwise I don't know how they will fir her in
ReplyDeleteRobbie is probably got contracted down the way.
ReplyDeleteAs for Caity, I'm assuming she gets lazarus pitted
Ah Dick was Batman. For a while. Nightwing has proven himself as a hero, he doesn't need to be Bats. No one does (I doubt Bruce even really wants them to be Batman) Hell in some ways he's better. He is a far better leader than Bruce (which says a lot). Heroes and even villains like him far more generally. He's a superior acrobat. And he doesn't have Bruce's near crippling emotional problems. Red Robin is his equivalent because it's Tim's superhero identity. He graduated from sidekick to hero.
ReplyDeleteThat shoukd be a nice family reunion.
ReplyDelete"Hey guys, sorry you mourned my death AGAIN, but I am alive. Okay, gotta run and kick some butt. Bye."
does anybody knows what city the show going be taking place we all know its not arrows or flash lol
ReplyDeleteHoly Mother of Scot Batman !!!
ReplyDeleteWhat if Steven ( Jeremy Gilbert of TVD ) R. McQueen is already contracted to play Nightwing in his ?
3...hour...specia. Man you want me to get a heart attack don't you :P
ReplyDeleteBut holy sh*t, this would be glorious!
Dude if it gives us heart attacks then it's done it's job. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's how it works in the comic book world
ReplyDeleteCaity is a terrible actress and tore season 2 down with her god awful performance. So hell no, I don't want her back. Especially not as Sara.
ReplyDeleteI loved her as a lighthearted character without much depth on Death Valley but Sara as a character was too hard to carry for her.
Nothing against Caity, one would even say I'm a fan, but she's not made for big roles
That and it could hollow Laurel's rise as Black Canary a bit. Hopefully it goes well. Personally I'm basically deriving more enjoyment from this universe than the MCU as a whole (granted I'm biased towards DC).
ReplyDeleteNone whatsover. It's more building towards Oliver going through a massive cathartic event, and becoming Green Arrow.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read "early stages" in the article I assumed the network just recently told them to throw something together for the fall and the producers are still working out the details. If they're not putting this together on the fly I'd be really surprised.
ReplyDelete"Ah Dick was Batman."
ReplyDeleteWhich is why Nightwing is as close as someone can be to be Batman without BEING Batman. Dick Grayson is the true successor but since he's not Batman, he is Nightwing.
Do you think losing his sister could bring on that moment?
ReplyDeleteThat would be one way to tighten up the multiple storylines going into Season 4....
He's not his only successor. It's not about succeeding Batman. Tim and Dick are their own men. They will carry on his work with Damian. Each of them is Bruce's legacy and successor. There's no as close as Batman. Dick is the best in combat and at leading, but Tim has Bruce's detective and intellectual abilities (potentially even better according to Bruce), and Damian has Bruce's engineering and business skill. All have his goal to fight crime. Each has inherited something from Bruce and will carry on his legacy and work. And all are his sons.
ReplyDeleteWholeheartedly disagree. Dick Grayson will always be seen as the one who can rightfully become Batman if needed, and him as Nightwing gives him his own persona but also someone who is Batman's equal moreso than any other Robin or Red Hood combined.
ReplyDeleteSteven looks the part for sure.
ReplyDeleteWho the F allowed them to release this while I'm sleeping!????
ReplyDeleteWhy does all the good news get relesed when I'm sleeping ? 😈😈😈
Now to the project, it certainly sounds interesting, CW really wants to exploit the succsses of DC world.
But in which universe would Sara get brought back to life and not stay in Starling after all this? Can't believe they would pick this up straight to series. O.o Can't wait foe more information.
I don't think Killing Thea would help? the show don't need more death to drive Oliver to a hero....if the LOA is targeting Thea because Oliver refuse the offer it would be better if her death is "fake" and she disappear for a while
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap what if Caity Lotz was to dye her hair jet black and play Wonder Woman !!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree Caity isn't the best actress out there. She is a sweet girl but that's it.
ReplyDeleteDon't know how they even want to pull this off?
If the Pit was working wouldn't Nyssa already try to bring her back? I hope she gets to play someone else in the DC verse.
Yes that's true. Even the current Doctor played a different character in an episode.
ReplyDeletethis is exactly what i was thinking, if Lazarus pit work that way (Sara was buried 4 months ago people) why Nyssa never thought about that? I think Caity is playing another character or Sara in flashbacks scenes.
ReplyDeleteCaity isn't dead but Sara is. She's probably playing a different character with a different appearance. The make up and hair/wig people can make that happen.
ReplyDeleteIKR?It's like they wait after i go to sleep to release the exciting and good news!LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe movie was surprisingly good.Mae and robbie did wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteJust NO!
ReplyDeleteI'm really not a fan of casting someone with a large role on the show for another part so I really hope that's not the case and the Lazarus Pit will be a factor.
ReplyDeleteCaity Lotz posted this on her page but didn't say who she's playing so I guess she doesn't know. If this is a present day set show with known TV characters than for it to suggest a resurrection would be too much of a spoiler. Also it's too late for the Lazarus Pit and Ra's would forbid it. Only way she'd be back is if they have Spectre. Caity is an actress who can play different characters. She basically played a different version of Sara in Canaries so she can play a different character familiar to DC fans.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused here. Are they have Garber without Robbie? How would that work? And Caity? I liked Sara, I really did, but dead is dead and they made sure to show us her dying and being buried, I don't think even the Lazarus Pit can resurrect after all that time. Her playing a completely different character would also be weird. I dunno about this, but in general I like the idea, if neither Firestorm nor Atom can top line their own show, then a team up would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the best way to do this would be introducing a new hero who met Sara during her league years and have all Caity's scenes in flashback mode. That would be more simple to the audience since writers missed a big opportunity to introduce Lazarus Pit with Oliver on 3x10 (and went with that penicillin tea crap) and even though I know Lazarus Pit exists in the Arrow Universe, we're already in the countdown to the season finale so, there's room for another sub plot?
ReplyDeleteOther thing, I'm not very familiar with the Lazarus Pit background but Sara was buried 4 months ago, so I imagine her body is decomposed at this stage, does the Pit fix that? I don't understand how Nyssa never thought about that if she knew that would work, and if somebody magically "kidnapped" Sara's body that would be a HUGE plot hole because Laurel specifically said she's been visiting Sara everyday since they buried her in 3x2 so Laurel would have noticed something strange in the grave.
Anyway, I'm happy for Caity Lotz.
so what are their plans for Robbie Amell?
ReplyDeleteweirdly cool poster
ReplyDeletewhoa that's crazy, he REALLY looks like him, i NEED him to be to be Nightwing
ReplyDeleteAs*holes. Everytime the same thing! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think you might be right and I wouldn't object to it. Stein has enough to offer as a scientist without having to be a voice in Ronnie's head, I mean even if Ronnie stays on The Flash and becomes Firestorm every episode, all they would need is for Victor Garber to record his lines, he could do both.
ReplyDeleteOk, I have not read the comics, but why is Dick better in combat than Damian. I thought Damian grew up with Leauge training (just curious) him.
ReplyDeleteIf she keeps her mask on..... She does know how to fight.
ReplyDeleteRemember that other guy Caitlin met in the cafe about Firestorm. Jason Rush I think. He is a part of Firestorm matrix with Ronnie later on. They might replace him with Stein on The Flash and Martin Stein could be the genius developer and scientist behind all the heroes on the new show.
ReplyDeleteI am excited hearing this. ATOM, Captain cold and Martin Stein. I think they will replace Martin Stein with Jason Rush, the guy Caitlin met in the cafe, in the FIRESTORM matrix on The Flash and will use him like Lucius Fox on the new show. An inventor and scientist.
ReplyDeleteNow Caity Lotz is a conundrum. I was devastated by Sara's death. But how can they bring her back. Will she come back as white canary. If she comes back Laurel's journey will become completely useless. Her playing a new character in the same universe will be really weird.
I was so angry when I saw this in the morning. All good news come out when I am sleeping. Americans I tell you!!
ReplyDeletePlease no. The guy might look ripped. But he can't act at all. I want Nightwing to be played by some one great.
ReplyDeleteThea is the last living relative of Oliver. I don't think they will kill her off.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this Canary will finally have the canary cry.
ReplyDeleteWith her voice she could be a great Harley Quinn. But will DC give her up?
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea. But would a series about stand alone episodes only will have good ratings?
ReplyDeleteI agree. But sadly JTV and The 100 are really bad in ratings, even The Originals are not doing that great. The superhero shows are clear winners here. izombie is also a DC property.
ReplyDeleteLess emotional scenes and more fighting for Caity.
ReplyDeleteYou are fast.
ReplyDeleteLazarus Pit works best on injuries or the very recently dead. The longer a person has been dead the more wrong and zombiefied they come back.
ReplyDeleteYeah. This broke just as I was about to sleep. I lost a good few hours.
ReplyDeleteMarc from Tumblr seem to be happy about Caity return but it likely not bring back sara from the dead.......would be a major giveaway
ReplyDeletePersonally? It would be hard to see Lotz as another character, Sara is too much of a visible character to just reset her appearance.
ReplyDeleteNow, could they go the route of introducing Caity as a different character, but play the mistery that she *could* be Sara Lance? more likely than just asking the fanbase to just believe she isn't.
Honestly better that I didn't saw it, I would've stayed awake and watch TGIT live.
ReplyDeleteIt's an audacity, they really don't care about us! From where are you ODA?
ReplyDeleteA woman having casual sex? UNTHINKABLE, she must get married right away to cover up her sin.
ReplyDeleteQUICK someone sew a scarlett A on all of Felicity's dresses to shame her!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap!!! They announced this while I was sleeping, sneaky! Words cannot properly convey how excited I am about this. And Caity Lotz!!!!! Thank you, DC World, I adore you! This is so utterly amazing. Has just become, by far, my most anticipated pilot!
ReplyDeletethis will be perfect as a 10/13 eps per season which they can air it on summer.
ReplyDeletecan we just take that "c" from "cw" already?
ReplyDelete
