Oh Thea
ReplyDeleteAh the irony!
ReplyDeleteSo basically Brick's ass is going to get kicked.
ReplyDeleteOh Thea!! My baby if only you knew. You misguided soul.
ReplyDeleteI need someone to tell Thea the truth and get her away from Malcolm, then Thea can join Oliver/Team Arrow/Laurel in the good fight, bonus point being that no one will brainwash her into killing a friend.
ReplyDeleteif only the cinematography will be similar, this looks so sinister
ReplyDeleteI doubt it will happen in this episode but I think it may happen in 3x13
ReplyDeleteThe sooner the better, too many secrets on Arrow and they go on for way too long.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find so interesting about this dynamic is that Thea really takes Malcolm at face value. I mean he claims he doesn't lie to her but he skirts the truth a lot and she seems okay with it. Everyone else gets "wrath of Thea" for keeping something from her and she just accepts Malcolm. I understand we don't know everything they discussed during their time together but she never seems to question much of anything pertaining to him. On top of that he's sort of been lying about knowing where Oliver is. She has asked him point-blank and he's said he hasn't heard anything.
ReplyDeleteI was not. I don't want to spoil his scenes.
ReplyDelete*hoping for a Oliver+Felicity reuinion preview ;)
ReplyDeleteI really hope Thea won't become another member of team arrow. even Laurel is already one to many (and she's annoying as hell). I would prefer Thea as a villian
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for an Oliver preview.
ReplyDeleteHow very you Mac. :) But an actual Oliver appearance preview would be nice. Then again Koky's right.
ReplyDeleteIt'd make little sense though. I'd be all for it if she became Cheshire. Hard to justify though.
ReplyDeleteIf one of the sneak peeks is about him, it'll be a real challenge to stay away from the internet until I see the episode.
ReplyDeleteI'm in a bit of a mood swing lately, been a busy week so far and sundays Super Bowl really didn't add to my cheer.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's much to spoil yet, he's coming back. Not much going down for him I guess?
I wasn't taking about spoiling his story. I want to watch his scenes for the first time when I watch the episode. When he decides to come back and his talk with Tatsu (I like their scenes), when he shows up at the fight and the team's reactions. I'm even looking forward to seeing Malcolm's reaction.
ReplyDeleteAs a full on Villain it wouldn't make sense but as an antagonist to Team Arrow I think it would. If she finds out she killed Sara I can see her blaming them. After all it was the secrets and lies that lead her to Malcolm in the first place.
ReplyDeleteIt just seems to be a weird character flaw. She really had no reason to trust him. Anyone can say "I'll never lie" but that doesn't mean they are telling the truth right now. It just seems odd that she doesn't question more.
ReplyDeleteSee my comment to Mac.
ReplyDeleteThat's true but I think it is easy to trust someone when you think you know all their secrets. Thea is probably thinking, "After all the horrible things he has done what could he possibly have to hide?". And telling her about Roy lying to her and then telling her he would never lie was incredibly manipulative when Thea was already in a vulnerable place.
ReplyDeleteThe writers have dragged it on too long, so I understand how hard it is to suspend disbelief at this point, but I think it was originally a good arc for her.
"After all the horrible things he has done what could he possibly have to hide?" That sentence made me sad.
ReplyDeleteI concur on the initial premise. It was really manipulative and effective. I do struggle with it being 8-9 months later and she still hasn't questioned much of anything surrounding Malcolm. He feeds her lines and she doesn't bat an eye. Also you would think she'd want more information about the League of Assassins but she kind of just went "League? We'll kick their asses." I can't believe Malcolm wasn't like "Okay but they are a league. A league of assassins so...maybe there should be a tad more concern."
ReplyDeleteIdt it'll be a spoilers, if it was shown in the US promo. LOL I was looking for one specific Oliver preview. When he tells Tatsu he's ready to go home.
ReplyDeleteThis episode has everything on paper to become one of the best of the show... Let's see how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually more concerned about 3x13, not being a fan of 3x01...
She accepts that he isn't lying to her because, as far as she knows, he is the only one who hasn't. She just doesn't trust anyone else so the one person she thinks she can trust gets her unwavering loyalty.
ReplyDeleteNo not at all actually. Just a Oliver clip. I was hoping it'd be the one where he's telling Tatsu that he's ready to go home.
ReplyDeleteok
ReplyDelete*sigh*... still waiting for Thea to get a clue.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both.
ReplyDeleteHe's at it again sighh. Gotta love him.
ReplyDeleteHA!!! That's funny!!! Great minds..... ; )
ReplyDeleteTrue, but it'd be cool to see a shot of him in costume back before anyone knows, or just to see his general thoughts. Which team?
ReplyDeleteI really doubt that Thea would blame Oliver (and hope). I see more it serving as the beginning of a journey for redemption and her own path to identity.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the surprise on everyones faces will be amazing
ReplyDeleteseahawks :(
Ah well at least the alcohol helped, right?
ReplyDeletenot really, I passed out around 1 while some genius threw our TV out...like literally out of our window
ReplyDelete;) ;)
ReplyDeleteWhy would she not blame him? His secret lost her her Mother and almost got her killed. Yet she doesn't deserve to know despite the fact that almost everyone else does?
ReplyDeleteIf he had come to her and told her everything after Moira's death do you really think she would have run off with Merlyn?
No. But Oliver has nothing to do with Sara's death or the brainwashing.
ReplyDeleteF*ck sucks bro. Broken?
ReplyDeleteYeah, the thing was old anyway and luckily we still have two others
ReplyDeleteThat's good.
ReplyDeleteI hope that's not how you really think. people are still responsible for what they do themselves. and running of with Merlyn was Thea's decision alone and it was a fucking stupid one. there are two people responsible for Sara's death, Merlyn and Thea, no one else.
