Simmons pointing a gun at somesone or something, Bobbi is fighting someone at headquarters and a woman creating a force field around her while soldiers are standing around her and aiming at her...dammit still one month until march...waiting is killing me.
I feel it might be Bobbi... it's fast but I think whoever is standing in the middle of that force field is wearing the same clothes she is when she's fighting whoever she's fighting in headquarters (which BTW I think it's Hunter)
At the first moment I thought it could be Skye. But in the comics she has not such a kind of power. So probably it's another inhuman. And the soldiers are either Hydra or Shield. And I don't think she is fighting Hunter. It's either an Agent of Shield who is a mole or it has something to do with the secret she's hiding.
I'm super indifferent to Hunter. He barely registers for me. And that is basically my argument: Between the two Hunter was way more dispensable than Trip.
I'm still bitter and uber upset they killed him off... :(
Hunter annoyed me at the beginning of the season but I've grown to like him when he joined the team. But of course between the two of them Tripp was more intriguing, it's such a loss. I still can't believe they killed him off. What purpose did his death serve?
Eh.... he's still annoying as far as I'm concerned. But I don't care enough about him to bother really. His only anchor to possible likability and interest was Bobbi, but I don't like her much either. And it saddens me to admit that because I do like the character in comic canon, and I do like Adrianne, but this Bobbi? Not doing it for me at all. She's coming off more whiny and annoying, and bitter hysterical, and faux badass... she's hitting all the wrong notes. (Also the sourface Adrianne puts on when she's playing Bobbi in Badass mode is just distracting...) So I just can't find myself invested enough in that aspect of his existence either.
"What purpose did his death serve?" And here's the thing: IF it was Hunter who had died instead of Tripp there's aspects of that event that can have long term storyline repercussions and extensions. As I said he is connected to Bobbi... I might not care about them, but they do exist. So there is fallout opportunities there that involve more nuanced conflicts than the general "we lost a team member" that killing off Tripp offers.
The only thing that killing Tripp off offers is clearly killing off a team member that is generally liked by the team AND the audience (which I feel wouldn't be the case if it Hunter was in his shoes). I think it was a "shock and awe/nobody is safe" move from TPTB, but I feel it will hurt the show, because it's still early in the show and Trip was a strong character that still had quite a bit to offer and he will be missed and I think his absence WILL be felt.
Eh, just because they don't have that power doesn't mean they can't be in a force field. Maybe it's not something they produce, maybe it's something they get trapped in.
But I think you're right it's not Bobbi. I went at it frame by frame. At first I thought it was somebody blonde in a dark outfit, which matched Bobbi when she's fighting at headquarters. But inspecting more closely it's a guy with what seems to be a shaved head. Maybe it's the Reader?
Also, sidenote, I still think Bobbi could be fighting Hunter in that scene. If it does have something to do with her secret and he gets wind of it, and isn't on board with what she's doing, they could come to blows... (I will say that the frame by frame didn't make it look like Hunter but that doesn't mean much in that context, as it was also very fast and it could have just been Nick's stunt double which they used for the close up blows)
I won't deny that. But Tripp's death is only good for character angst. Storywise, killing off Hunter had more options exactly because it offered more than JUST character angst.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI love Tripp... I would have so easily swapped him with Hunter...
ReplyDeleteLooks so freakin' AMAZING! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThe only downside of AoS coming back is that I'll have to give up Peggy. But May for Carter is a fair trade off...
so it's not an Inhuman or a Gifted?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I'm just saying it looks a bit like Bobbi from that second long shot we got.
ReplyDeleteAwesome promos!!! Love this show more and more. I wish the show was coming back soon, we all need it back.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Hunter but ifI have to choose then definitely Tripp.

ReplyDeleteI love Agent Carter and all, but MARCH 3 NEEDS TO GET HERE RIGHT NOW!!! Going through major AoS withdrawals.

is it confirmed that No-Eyes is The Reader?
ReplyDeleteDo you think Skye will blame herself for his death?
ReplyDeleteI think she will feel responsible yes.
ReplyDeleteBut I think she would have felt that way about whoever was in there with her...
But her guilt will be even greater since it's Tripp.
ReplyDeleteI won't deny that. But Tripp's death is only good for character angst. Storywise, killing off Hunter had more options exactly because it offered more than JUST character angst.
ReplyDeleteoh ok no yeah it's not confirmed it's more assumption but it wouldn't surprise me it WAS The Reader
ReplyDeleteTrue
