Witch Shows like The Secret Circle, god I miss that show but I also voted for heavily serialized mystery dramas that's what you call intense tv. I also like the thought of girl power dramedies like Desperate Housewives.
I voted for both serialized. IMO shows are getting way too repetative. There are way too many Cop and Vampire shows. I do not even bother to watch Cop shows because they are all too alike IMO! Fringe was very original and 24 was brilliant. Also I Would like another show like revenge, for when it ends. Revenge is different from all tv shows out there and so is OUAT. Serialized shows need to come back
There will be a show starting soon on the same order as Revenge but for the life of me i can't remember where i read it,possibly from one of the TCA's? I believe it will be on ABC. Whether you will like it or not is the big question.
I found that when Lost ended i had a hard time finding a show i was that passionate about,(like you are about Revenge) until Fringe came along... I find myself in the same boat once again...waiting for 'That show' to come along..
what Joseph said I didnt even know that someone able to get paid $4506 in four weeks on the computer . visit the website, ====================https://YahooInfoJobs.blog/tack/Management...
We need a good Witch show on TV again. With Witches Of East End gone and The Secret Circle a few years ago we're devoid of a good Witch show. The closest right now is 'Every Witch Way' on Teen Nick.
The Caster Chronicles I think would work better as a TV show then how it did in movie form. While not directly Witch related Brigid Kemmerer's 'Elementals' series would also be interesting to see adapted to TV. The Darkest Powers series may work too.
Meanwhile with Teen Drama's, I always find them fun. Pretty Little Liars is meant to be ending in the next 2 years, so the opening is there for the new 'it' teen drama (and to a much lesser extent, Awkward and Glee are ending this year).
Reign, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, while already renewed I doubt have many more years left in them. They'll probably end around the same time as Pretty Little Liars (2017).
Heavy serialized mystery! But please, do them well, because there have been some mighty failures in that deptarment, most notably shows that believe mysteries are more important than character (A.K.A, Alcatraz)
I think it might be Secrets and Lies. Not sure how similar it is, but the new Dallas was great. Basically, everything in that show revolved around revenge, so you might check it out :)
When Fringe ended it took me a really long time to find shows I could be as passionate about. GoT, The 100 and Revenge all have come pretty close (especially Revenge during season 3), but so far I'd say The 100 is the one that has the highest chances to hit the same passion as it continues to amaze me every episode.
Should they appear, I think they need to be on their own network, you know? A place where those who want to watch it can watch it at ease, but leave the rest of the networks alone
Maybe heavy serialized mystery, but without JJ Abrams behind it. I'm sure there's other ways to make a show like that without trying to emulate Lost's formula.
Yep,Fringe was just fantastic. I do have my must see shows such as The Blacklist, Person of Interest and GoT and i am passionate about them, but nothing like Fringe.....so i continue to wait for 'that show' to come along.
Sorry,i don't remember.. I just went through all the winter TCA's thinking it was ABC's TCA but when i checked it wasn't there. If and when i come across it i will let you know..
It's hard, because what I had with Fringe was so special that I think I'll have similar expiriences, but never quite the same. I mean, this is the first show I was outright addicted to, the first one I re-watched tons of times without getting bored, and the first one I honestly fought for over twitter and facebook trying to convince people to watch it to snatch renewals. And while I do encourage people to watch The 100 over twitter, it's not quite the same, I'm not as involved as I was with Fringe.
My experience with Fringe was not only about the incredible show itself, but the fact that it got me here, it made me meet new people, it was the first show I watched season premieres and finales with friends, and as a such it became something that influenced my life in a big way, it even influenced the way I write stories.
So I don't think I'll ever find a show that will take its place; I mean, I'll have vastly different experiences with different shows, which is good, but there will always be that nostalgia for Fringe because I doubt I'll ever find a show that can change my life like that. GoT, Revenge and The 100 are all shows that I'm passionate about and that have come into my life in some way or another, but they haven't had the massive effect Fringe had,
Heavily Serialized Mystery Dramas - Although I fear that there are only a handful of writers who can pull through a serialized show without major plotholes and completely lose their way come season 2.
One nitpick though. When I think of Heavily Serialized Mystery Dramas the first thing that comes to my mind would be Heroes and not Fringe. although it is serialized they had too many case of the week episodes at least in the beginning.
I was also involved in trying to keep Fringe alive while season 4 was going. Writing to advertisers, joining with Fringenuity/More Than One Of Everything.com and tweeting to keep it alive. I met a lot of good people through and some very good friends here because of Fringe. Yeah,i can definitely relate. Guess we'll always be Fringies, lol!
This is a good question. I have to go with serialized mystery, military and action dramas. Take a good long break from crime of the week repeats, medical drama's, vampire shows, soapy drama's. We need more Fringe/BSG/Lost/BoB style dramas with action, heart and suspense. The teens do need a show like Dawson's, OTH and The OC but I have no idea where they would fit in anymore. Lifetime/Hallmark/ABCFamily...Maybe ABC could bring back TGIF with teen drama's instead of comedies.
Yes! That's why I love it, it was FUN. You could just sit back and enjoy it for what it was. That's why Stargate Universe didn't work for me, they tried to make it more serious and dramatic, and it ended up being just boring. I wouldn't mind a reunion movie between SG-1 and SGA in the future, but unfortunately I don't think it'll happen.
If Revolution did without the nanos I thought it could have been great. Miss seeing Miles Monroe & Neville on my screen. Not very pleased with most genre shows recently and males are seriously lacking... BUT The 100 which currently airs surpasses female badassery on the regular. Need more quality mystery & action dramas!!!
Revenge is the shows that actually got me interested in watching tv dramas. I cannot even say how much I like the show. It is different compared to all other shows and has shocking twists. I wish people started giving it a try again and would stop describing it to only be a boring soap opera which is not true. I am just at the end of season 1 of the 100 and i am loving it
Have you watched that show called V that aired a couple of seasons ago on ABC? It got cancelled after two seasons but it was soooooo good, great sci-fi series.
I do remember, I gave it a go but couldn't get into any of the characters and the writing wasn't compelling enough to keep me. I do however miss Terra Nova which I think aired around the same time as V.
I voted Witch shows like Charmed. (Not TSC). I wouldn't mind another show like Being Human either. (Man do I miss it). I wouldn't mind another show like Lost, but they need to be careful not to f**k it up!!!
Don't we have dozens of 'Teen dramas' already? And the CW debuts like 2-3 such dramas every season! Hell even shows that feature actors on their late 20's to early 30's like the Vampire Diaries & Glee portray characters that are in all essentials 'hormonal teenagers'! The only teen heavy dramas I've watched recently were The 100, Awkward & the first 2 seasons of Glee. Quality matters and frankly 90% of these shows lack any real material.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Heavily Serialized Mystery Dramas ... there is just not enough of these shows.
ReplyDeleteI voted for heavy serialized mystery dramas and other. There's never enough good horror series on TV for me.
ReplyDeleteNo teen dramas please!
ReplyDeleteYeah. Blacklist is sort of like that, but I guess it's more procedural
ReplyDeleteI would rather have more 10-13 episodes crime miniseries.
ReplyDeleteWitch Shows like The Secret Circle, god I miss that show but I also voted for heavily serialized mystery dramas that's what you call intense tv. I also like the thought of girl power dramedies like Desperate Housewives.
ReplyDeleteAs a hard time Charmed fan, I'd have to vote for Witch shows.
ReplyDeleteBut TM is a mystery drama and people should heavily watch it!
well witch shows have come back, but they seem to be canceled, like Witches of East end after two seasons, and secret circle after one.
ReplyDeleteNeed an option for character driven sci-fi like Star Trek and Stargate. About time both those franchises were back on our TV screens. I miss them.
ReplyDeleteI voted for both serialized. IMO shows are getting way too repetative. There are way too many Cop and Vampire shows. I do not even bother to watch Cop shows because they are all too alike IMO! Fringe was very original and 24 was brilliant. Also I Would like another show like revenge, for when it ends. ReplyDeleteSerialized mystery and action dramas.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Teen Dramas cause witch shows always get canned and mystery shows are almost always bad.
ReplyDeleteThere will be a show starting soon on the same order as Revenge but for the life of me i can't remember where i read it,possibly from one of the TCA's? I believe it will be on ABC. Whether you will like it or not is the big question.

Not sure if you watch it, but Chicago PD is a great cop show, and fortunately it's not one of the typical cop dramas. It's great and thrilling.
ReplyDeleteHeavy serialized mystery! But please, do them well, because there have been some mighty failures in that deptarment, most notably shows that believe mysteries are more important than character (A.K.A, Alcatraz)

ReplyDeleteMore than heavy serialized drama.
ReplyDeleteWitches shows like Charmed Witches of East End Witches of Eastwick
ReplyDeleteYep,Fringe was just fantastic. I do have my must see shows such as The Blacklist, Person of Interest and GoT and i am passionate about them, but nothing like Fringe.....so i continue to wait for 'that show' to come along.
ReplyDeleteMilitary dramas.
ReplyDeleteAll the other selections are gone for a reason because recent reincarnations of the genres have bombed HARD.
Sorry,i don't remember.. I just went through all the winter TCA's thinking it was ABC's TCA but when i checked it wasn't there. If and when i come across it i will let you know..
ReplyDeleteThat could be it. I'm still looking.

ReplyDeleteIf network TV hopes to ever win awards with any regularity again...
ReplyDeleteHeavy Serialized Drama needs to make a comeback.
I miss it as well. What a fun series Stargate was, loved all the characters and guest stars on it. I wish both franchises would come back!
ReplyDeleteI still miss Fringe and will watch any random episode in a minute when I'm feeling nostalgic.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good question. I have to go with serialized mystery, military and action dramas. Take a good long break from crime of the week repeats, medical drama's, vampire shows, soapy drama's.

More serialized/mystery dramas!
ReplyDeleteLost was my all time fav, nothing has come close
This ^. I need more space sci-fi shows.
ReplyDeleteMystery and witch dramas for me.
ReplyDeleteOther - Science Fiction like Stargate, Kyle XY, Star Trek and so on.
ReplyDeleteIf Revolution did without the nanos I thought it could have been great. Miss seeing Miles Monroe & Neville on my screen. Not very pleased with most genre shows recently and males are seriously lacking... BUT The 100 which currently airs surpasses female badassery on the regular. ReplyDeleteA good witch show - I'm still bummed that Lifetime cancelled Witches of East End. It was a great show with a really great cast!!
ReplyDeleteHeavily Serialized Mystery Dramas like LOST and Fringe is the one genre i'm eager to see return on television!
ReplyDeleteTeen Dramas,Witch shows& Girl Power Dramdies
ReplyDeleteRevenge is the shows that actually got me interested in watching tv dramas. I cannot even say how much I like the show. It is different compared to all other shows and has shocking twists. ReplyDeleteShowa I miss the most are: Buffy, Charmed, Ugly Betty and Legend of the seeker, really great well written and acted shows IMO.
ReplyDeleteHave you watched that show called V that aired a couple of seasons ago on ABC? It got cancelled after two seasons but it was soooooo good, great sci-fi series.
ReplyDeleteFirefly, 24 and House would be just fine with me...
ReplyDeleteHeavily Serialized Mystery and Action Dramas with great character development and HUMOR, please! :)
ReplyDeleteSci-fi/fantasy, especially some with some humour to it - along the lines of Hitchhikers/Dirk Gentley, Misfits, Being Human, Fades, In the Flesh, etc.
ReplyDeleteHeavily Serialized Mystery Dramas and Heavily Serialized Action Dramas
ReplyDeleteI do remember, I gave it a go but couldn't get into any of the characters and the writing wasn't compelling enough to keep me. I do however miss Terra Nova which I think aired around the same time as V.

ReplyDeleteHeavily Serialized Mystery Dramas like LOST and Fringe.
ReplyDeleteI watched the pilot for Terra Nova but it did nothing for me. It's a shame because I really loved the concept.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see the western back on primetime
ReplyDeleteWitch Shows...TSC was great...
ReplyDeleteDon't we have dozens of 'Teen dramas' already? And the CW debuts like 2-3 such dramas every season!
