Reminds me of the Jason Priestly/Bradley Cooper/Emma Caulfield movie from 2004...but the show seems to be taking a harsher look at reality shows than that movie. Shiri Appleby is a very appealing actress as well.
The British dude looks familiar. Was he in HP? I'm too lazy to Google. Arielle Kebbel is in this so I'll check it out. I wonder why she's never a part of the main cast. She obviously can find work but she's always a 'guest star'.
Looks surprisingly good and I do like most of the people involved. That being said, while I do appreciate the fact that Lifetime is taking risks, this looks way off brand. I'm seeing a Lottery situation here.
Lifetime only has one returning scripted show left, and their newer shows indicate that they might be interested in changing their brand. A horror show with a male lead seems more off brand than this. I can't say that I am familiar with all of the shows Lifetime has aired, WOEE was a guilty pleasure in season that I stopped watching in season 2, but I do know that every so often they air a quality film, Minnie Driver (Return to Zero) and McKenzie Vega (The Assault) from this year were both very good...there must be an audience on the channel that will actually watch a quality series.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wow, this is really provocative.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of that episode of Psych where they crash a reality show...

ReplyDeletewhen does this air?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....no. I like Shiri but i hate reality shows.
ReplyDeleteReminds me a lot from another show overseas, although not as provocative as Unreal is making itsel out to be, Marrying a Millionaire.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is not really a reality show.
ReplyDeleteSummer 2015.
