    The promo was average but absolutely loved the fact that it focused on the relationship between the brothers and not romance for once!

    I like Mikaelsons bond and even when they clash I still see that they deeply care about each other, but personally never was and never will be fan of Defan. I've used to liked one and hated the other and halfway through the series there was a swap, so even though I don't like Winchesters they would be better option for brothers promo.

    This is interesting. I wonder if the idea for this promo came from any story ideas currently being discussed. Regardless, even the CW recognizes the pattern that doppelgangers follow. Now that Tatia Petrova has been discussed on TO, I would be interested to see how the show can expand on the mythology of doppelgangers in terms of what they do, rather than fixating on how or why they were created. I've often wondered if Markos wa really the only one to ever do a doppelganger spell. Qetsiyah hinted at the possibility of more than two lines.

    I like sam-dean brothership better than defan but i would take defan anyday over delena/stelena/steroline or any other romantic ship of the show.

    No progression yet.At least not until they remember to bring back bonnie in the show.I can't even remember when she was living happily in mystic falls.Poor girl!

    I thought they said they're purposely not mentioning doppelgangers ever again.
    its a shame really. the myth was interesting but they executed it so badly it became a disaster in the second half of season 5. that's what happens when you write the story around Delena instead of Delena around the story.

    Delena is problematic because it's uncomfortable to watch and causes teenagers to idolize unhealthy relationships, but I don't think it interfered with doppelganger mythology. I think JP took her attention away from TVD writers for a while and they let the storyline run amok. I'm still wondering if Silas was right about immortality spells generating doppelgangers and Markos just took credit for creating them because he wanted to seem more important and intimidating. We learned this season that Jo, Luke, and Liv went to Whitmore because Sheila Bennett taught there. Does that mean that Luke and Liv weren't sent to protect the doppelgangers, and there wasn't any war between their coven and Markos' tribe? I remember a scene with Liv and Jeremy in Season 5 where Liv talked about the Travelers' curse like it was a story the Travelers made up. I think things might become a little bit clearer when the rest of the coven shows up for the merge ceremony. I'm interested to know why they're going to do it in Mystic Falls. If it has anything to do with the birthplace of a doppelganger, that might explain why Kai kidnapped Elena and he could be the one to offer her the interesting proposition. The EPs said that more doppelganger mythology would be peppered in throughout the Gemini storyline, but in most cases doppelgangers might be called by a different name.

    anyway Markos never said he created the doppelgangers only the spell that draws the last two together and the "myth" that they are fated lovers. they basically retconned the whole thing in one lame storyline to get Delena back on track.

    Does anyone know the song? I like those type of tracks.
    Thing it's a nice promo, could be better, think slow fully clothed pace isn't working for these shows.
    They need something more naked and fast paced.

    This promo was interesting. I love the relationship with Klaus and Elijah and I don't know if anyone else read the interview with Julie but it made me upset. She said Haley is caught between Elijah and Jackson and no room to add another man to the mix and said something like adding Klaus to the mix (maybe). Please no dont want another repeat of the Vampire Diaries with two brothers fighting over the same woman. The originals was supposed to be different. So I dont know whether to believe her or not. Why cant Klaus and Haley be friends and leave my ship alone. I don't know I feared this would happen.
