    Ooh, day-drinking. There's a way to help Elena. I wonder where Damon is while these three are just talking about not killing Kai. He's probably ordering Luke and Liv around, all spinning their wheels because Elena's under a cloaking spell. Is anyone else still wondering how Grams Bennett got them all into this mess? I thought she made a deal guaranteeing that Bonnie would find peace like she did. Could that really have gotten screwed up just because Damon was with Bonnie?

    I'm tired of watching people scramble to save Elena. She's my favorite character, and that's why I want to see her save herself for once, stand on her own and make decisions that will protect the people she loves- without needing to consult Damon first.

    I only wish they scrambled to save Bonnie just as fast. It's not like she's been STILL stuck in a giant empty in a abyss, previously with a pyscho, and now completely and utterly alone for almost an entire year. But noooooooo... Let's spend time trying to save the precious girlfriends, of which none of them would have without Bonnie (looking at you Tyler and Alaric), sleeping around with random girls, of which you wouldn't be able to do without Bonnnie (looking at you Jeremy), and generally express no interest that the best friend since birth is actually still alive and trapped somewhere and when otherwise mentioned is generally shafted in trivial talks about romance (Caroline and Elena).


    I pray to god that Bonnie and Damon's friendship stays strong, because the rest of the gang is a sorry excuse for friends.

    So is Alaric throwing in the towel? Once again, just like Jenna, his girlfriend is being forced to engage in a crazy evil villain sacrifice and he is feeling helpless. Common Ric, get in the game, we know you have skills or at least find a drinking partner...it is never a good idea to drink alone.

    This is partly why I hope Elena is stuck with Kai for a little bit longer than one episode. I love Elena's character, but her character is hard to like when she's being written as a relationship drama queen and token damsel in distress. I honestly hope that this time, Elena has to save herself. She couldn't do it last season when she was up against two Petrova women and a Traveler, which is understandable, but enough already. Elena needs to start standing on her own two feet.
