When a rogue general seizes control of Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal, the fate of the world rests on the shoulders of three improbable Americans: Secretary of State Walter Larson, lowly Foreign Service officer Alex Talbot and ace Navy fighter pilot Zeke Tilson. From the turbulent streets of the Middle East, to the White House situation room, to an aircraft carrier on the Red Sea, these three compromised souls must pull through the chaos around them to save the planet from World War Three.

Executive produced by Jerry Weintraub, Roberto Benabib and Jay Roach, and created by Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib, the epic dark comedy series THE BRINK focuses on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate, desperate men. The show’s ten-episode season begins this summer, exclusively on HBO.

THE BRINK stars Jack Black (Golden Globe nominee for “The School of Rock” and “Bernie”) as Alex Talbot, Tim Robbins (Best Supporting Actor Oscar® winner for “Mystic River,” Best Director Oscar® nominee for “Dead Man Walking”) as Walter Larson and Pablo Schreiber ( “Law and Order: SVU,” HBO’s “The Wire”) as Zeke Tilson.

Other series regulars include Aasif Mandvi (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”), Maribeth Monroe (“Workaholics”), Eric Ladin (“The Killing,” HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”), Esai Morales (“NYPD Blue”) and Geoff Pierson (“Dexter”).

Cinemax Slots STRIKE BACK for Summer, Reveals Details on Final Season

Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester), along with the rest of Section 20, are enlisted to crack a missing-persons case in Bangkok. This elite undercover unit of British intelligence quickly realizes that what seems on the surface to be a simple kidnapping is actually the first step in a massive terrorist plot with global implications. Scott, Stonebridge and the team crisscross Asia and Europe, battling Japanese Yakuza, Russian Mafia, cyberterrorists, elite mercenaries and other deadly forces. Series regulars Robson Green, Michelle Lukes and Milauna Jackson also return for the season; new cast members include Michelle Yeoh, Will Yun Lee, Dustin Clare, Max Beesley and Michael McElhatton.

Arson investigator Samantha Orland (guest star Angelique Cabral) calls upon the Special Crimes Unit for help with a case that gets escalated to attempted murder when a serial arsonist's most recent fire involves a family. Although all evidence points to a local fire artist, Backstrom is positive their arsonist is someone they least suspect. The investigation takes a turn when the team discovers evidence missing from the crime scene and Backstrom suspects someone insides the investigation. Meanwhile, Backstrom gets tormented by childhood neighbors who stole something very special from him when he was younger and Valentine helps Niedermayer recover stolen evidence in the all-new "Bella" episode of BACKSTROM airing Thursday, Jan. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
