Not really when it's lead in is the Voice and NBC needs it to hit the desired demo. Its building on its already established strength, the female audience.
If anything, its promo is structured exactly like Chicago Fire which is what NBC wants... a continuous flow into Chicago Fire.
When I say it's a bad sign I'm referring to the promo as an indicator of the creative direction. Target audiences and lead-in numbers are NBC's problem, not mine. My concern is the content and this promo hits all the wrong notes.
We'll have to agree to disagree then. I'm not going to say if the promo is great or bad (since that's subjective based on the viewer). However the promo is effective in attracting itself to the target audience that is going to help it grow and be successful to NBC. Which is what a promo is intended to achieve.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Uh oh. This promo makes The Night Shift look like a CW show. That's a bad sign.
ReplyDeleteThis promo is pretty bad
ReplyDeleteNot the best promo, but still really looking forward to S2
ReplyDeleteAs long as there is shirtless Eoin Macken then i am IN.
ReplyDeleteLooked no worse than an ABC TV promo.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had to wait for the new season until the summer season so YESSS!
ReplyDeleteThis is not the best promo at all but I am still really happy that the show is coming back soon!

ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this show to come back! Finally something to fill my NBC Monday void since The Blacklist is moving to Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteAnd whole promo is about two characters that don´t interest me. Where is everyone else?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the song on the promo?
