So, they only hired her because of her connection to the Flash. Sucks to be a one-note-wonder in the eyes of future employees. Hopefully they realize she's good for more than simply reporting on Central City's local superhero.
I'm not a fan of this....wasn't Iris in college to be a psychologist or something? This seems like such a forceful push into making her more like her comic book counterpart.
Woo an Iris sneak peek. I was getting worried there that they wouldn't promote her story this episode or that it would end up being mostly off-screen. (Only 1 promotional image with her was released + she wasn't in the next episode promo that I saw or any sneak peek for this episode up until now).
It's Iris's first day as a reporter and she is so excited but people are not so welcoming. Then her boss comes and she suggests a subject for an article but he doesn't look very impressed then he asks her if she has anything new to write about The Flash, and when she says no her boss looks disappointed.
I'd still write. Sorry it can't be "as exciting" as The Flash, but gotta start somewhere. But i do hope this will get her back on better terms with The Flash, then again i don't want her to use him to get ahead of her job.
Iris on the job.. Booyah!!! Poor girl. How can an office be so unwelcoming? Go Iris.. Get all Flash related news and be famous than all those jackasses.
Well i don't see it that way. She kept writing about it, so that's what they wanted. Maybe she can dig back into Ronnie's story. They'll be interested in that.
Oh i know! But i meant that for the first day, when you're all happy and ready to write everything you want and come your boss and goes "no, write about this"... It's like "ohhh, mannn". Actually, that's work... You do what your boss tell you Jajaja But she came with so much hope, poor little cupcake xD
LOL well that's the reporter lifestyle. For her to "write what she wants" she has to earn that. Hahahahaha yeah she should do what her boss tells her. LOL that was funny. I love Iris to reese's pieces but i don't feel sorry for her, it's a very competitive field, where they want big stories. Or shall i say "hot" stories. I'd probably give her compassion like everyone else is doing if i actually saw the clip.(probably). But her boss being a dick doesn't bother me. Most bosses are dicks. hahahaha
My boss is awesome, yesterday i asked him if he could speak a good word about me to his daughter! Jajaja
Well, she will come around. She will speak to Barry about that and he will make sure she isn't discourage by that. I really liked how Iris interacted with Flash. Really want that back! Her being the only one who can get a word out of Flash will make her some enemies on the work for sure! Really looking forward to this storyline!
Inner office relationships never a good thing. But good luck with that. Now my manager, I love. The owner of my job, he's an asshole. But his daughter is worse. (And she's younger than me) I avoid her at all costs. Ugh! Anywaysss
I too loved those scenes. And hey if you're not getting your life threatened, then you're not doing your job right. Lol = p So bring on the bad guys, b/c Iris kicks ass!
Finally! An Iris-centric clip that was only partially Flash-related! I really hope this means that the writers are going to try to develop her character beyond just being the love-interest or Flash-groupie
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't see anything?
ReplyDeleteI expected you to mention that it's no. 4 not 3 lol
ReplyDeleteBy the way I can see it. Try reopening the page.
ReplyDeleteSo, they only hired her because of her connection to the Flash. Sucks to be a one-note-wonder in the eyes of future employees. Hopefully they realize she's good for more than simply reporting on Central City's local superhero.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of this....wasn't Iris in college to be a psychologist or something? This seems like such a forceful push into making her more like her comic book counterpart.
ReplyDeleteOk. Hope it helps. I want to see the clip.
ReplyDeletethey never said she was in school for psychology. That was in the casting call but they never said it on the actual show
ReplyDeleteI was going to, but i said forget it. lol And i still don't see anything. sighh...alright, off to go find it somewhere else. = / Be back in Flash. = p
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I wonder if she'll start writing about The Flash again. Can't wait for the episode.
ReplyDeleteWoo an Iris sneak peek. I was getting worried there that they wouldn't promote her story this episode or that it would end up being mostly off-screen. ReplyDeleteWelp, found it somewhere else, but it won't play. heavy sigh.
ReplyDeleteCan someone give me detail about the clip? As I can't see it, so i can't watch it. And i was waiting for an Iris clip. Please and Thank You. = (
ReplyDeleteThe clip is out to get you lol you want me to tell oy what's it about?
ReplyDeleteYes please tell me???
ReplyDeleteIt's Iris's first day as a reporter and she is so excited but people are not so welcoming. ReplyDeleteHmmm. What was the subject for the article she suggested?
ReplyDeleteA program that helps battered women get back on their feet
ReplyDeleteIt was about a program in keystone that helps battered women get back on their feet.
ReplyDeleteIn the pilot episode, Iris said something about having some degree; pretty sure it was psychology.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Even I can't see it.
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds good. She should write that anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'd still write. Sorry it can't be "as exciting" as The Flash, but gotta start somewhere. But i do hope this will get her back on better terms with The Flash, then again i don't want her to use him to get ahead of her job.
ReplyDeleteA great woman orientated article from Keystone City. They seem to have hired her for The Flash, poor girl. :(
ReplyDeleteYup
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, sweetie. Glad I can help :)
ReplyDeleteAn Iris centric clip that doesn't revolve around the men in her life? Hallelujah! I'm so excited to see her journalism career take-off!
ReplyDeleteIris on the job.. Booyah!!! Poor girl. How can an office be so unwelcoming? Go Iris.. Get all Flash related news and be famous than all those jackasses.

Obviously, they don't see Iris as a "cub" reporter but rather exclusively a Flash reporter. You bein' used, girl.
ReplyDeleteFinally! An Iris-centric clip that was only partially Flash-related! I really hope this means that the writers are going to try to develop her character beyond just being the love-interest or Flash-groupie
ReplyDeletewhat the hell all im watching is a montel williams fitness program??!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Chief reporter guy was on Smallville.
ReplyDeleteShe has relationships and interactions besides that. But yes it will be cool,
ReplyDeleteDude that could go south real fast if you're not careful.
ReplyDeleteYeah then she started taking journalism and became interested and wrote for The Flash, and thus got hired because she wrote Flash articles.
ReplyDeleteYou mean the daughter thing? Naaaaa, it's ok. I'm awesome and he can't do anything. I'm safe! ;)
ReplyDeleteHave fun man. :D
ReplyDeleteShe never stated she starting taking journalism...only that she started writing blogs about The Streak/The Flash.
ReplyDeleteShe started taking it as an elective.
ReplyDeleteWhen was this? Which episode?
ReplyDeleteIt's mentioned in episode two. She's "mad" at him for convincing her take it.
