1. HOLY FUCK, WE'RE FINALLY GETTING A SPN DE-AGED EPISODE. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS? OH MY GOD.

I'm so excited for this episode!

ReplyDelete
2. Damn, that's going to be a lonely and heartbreaking episode for Bonnie. I was so sad in the Christmas episode for her, alone, with that tiny Christmas tree.

ReplyDelete
3. RIP Elijah Mikaelson

ReplyDelete
4. Malcolm-centric? This has just become my favourite ep of the season already.

ReplyDelete
5. That co-operations b/w Abby and Clarke didn't last long. And Monty goes missing too?

I wonder when Oliver will be back.

ReplyDelete
6. i thought it'd be in ":Nanda Parbat" though

ReplyDelete
7. End of this ep, I think.

ReplyDelete
8. the Merlyn-centric episode

ReplyDelete
9. what are you talking about he's not dying

ReplyDelete
10. Well, looks like we're getting a lot of Malcolm in this ep. I think Nanda Parbat is gonna be very Ra's focused, rather than Malcolm.

ReplyDelete
11. for real? i'm ecstatic too, i want to see Colin Ford back as young Sam someday

ReplyDelete
12. not mentioned in the synopsis (leads always are mentioned)

ReplyDelete
13. yeah i guess that makes sense, but what else can we learn from him than what we learned in the mid-season finale

ReplyDelete
14. yeah but come on do you honestly believe that

15. The Originals - What in the world could be a part of that ritual that Klaus would object to?
Jane the Virigin - I like Petra a lot more when she's dealing with her own stuff rather than meddling in other people's stuff.
The Flash - It's going to take me forever to stop assuming that when they mention "Linda Park" they're not referring to the actress Linda Park.
Supernatural - I'll probably dislike this episode as much as I disliked "Swap Meat."
Arrow - I like the concept of this episode. It'll be interesting to see what Diggle's decision is and how it turns out.
The 100 - Out with the old and in with the new, Abby. Also, bad move Jasper. Really bad move.
The Vampire Diaries - Celebrate Bonnie's birthday? How about not pausing your efforts to save her so you can throw a party. That's a much better way to honor her.
Hart of Dixie - This one doesn't seem too bad. I wish they'd stop trying to make Lemon and Lavon happen though.

16. "kind hearted father and husband"- Wait, what?

ReplyDelete
17. yes

the writers have a Klaus-boner, worship the ground Phoebe Tonkin and Daniel Sharman walk on and pretty much degraded Elijah to a secondary character so...makes sense to me

ReplyDelete
18. Can't wait for Malese to enter the Flash world, should be quite entertaining!

TO sounds really good, I assume that Finn will finally find out Hope i alive here.

Arrow! So I assume Laurel doesn't know tgat Malcom started the whole Thea kills Sara mission. Should be quite huge when that gets out there.

Reign did we get the press ep 12? Didn't saw the news. As I remember we didn't get it in the previous release.

VD Poor Bonnie. But no mention how the merge went down.

ReplyDelete
19. TO: I didn't expect Klaus to be the one to try to break up the wedding. I suspected before that the rituals might threaten to expose Hope somehow. If Hayley goes through with it, Klaus might have to compel her to forget Hope first. I'm intrigued by this woman Rebekah will meet. If Rebekah is still in the asylum and Elijah doesn't have a story in this episode, then Klaus must have decided not to push Kol to let Rebekah go, and Elijah has taken over babysitting duty.

TVD: It's starting to look like Jeremy will be the one to break up with Bonnie when he leaves. I wonder if Caroline will decide to take witch drugs. If she does turn off her humanity like rumors suggest, it probably won't last longer than one episode.

ReplyDelete
20. They're going to kill off fake Kol.

DG hates what they've done to the Elijah character and prefers to spend his time on Saving Hope. The fact that the writers failed to ever give Elijah a story line (other than that time he quickly killed Celeste the love of his life) isnt' really DG's fault.

ReplyDelete
21. Supernatural episode sounds like a classic episode. Looking forward to it. :)

ReplyDelete
22. Stop trolling, Mac. Elijah isn't going anywhere. Hell, they just laid out the bones of a Klaus / Elijah conflict that's supposed to last the rest of the season.

ReplyDelete
23. TO: I still just want the Originals back... I mean Claire Holt, Nate Buzolic and Alice Evans!
TVD sounds so funny, Bonnie will be so happy xD Elena's logic
The 100: Tell me Monty is fine...

ReplyDelete
24. makes up for my Elijah-death-fears

more Malcolm is always awesome in my book

ReplyDelete
25. the only thing he did say in an interview about SH was "I wish it was the only thing I'm doing" wich is all I heard and that was pretty out of context

ReplyDelete
26. I assumed as much. Thanks for the info, Mac.

ReplyDelete
27. The 100 oh dear lord. Bellamy & Lincoln better have teams with them because 2 against the mountain men sounds nothing but terrible... Also isn't this a point of the truce?.. Don't particularly care for Abby as chancellor she's a healer. Clarke obviously has proved her abilities but I don't necessarily want to see her become chancellor so it'll be interesting to see what this new role is. Still.... excited for this power struggle so MAYBE they'll bring up that little thing you know how Abby was responsible for Jake's death. Lastly.... and possibly the thing I fear most for right now: Sweet sweet Monty. I said a couple weeks ago when we got the 2x09 synopsis that he better not end up face down getting drilled into like Harper!!! I do not like this. I do not like this one bit ( I love you the 100 never change)

ReplyDelete
28. Ummm, has someone told the writers that you can't hurt Monty? I'm assuming they have or they wouldn't be doing it!

ReplyDelete
29. So Sam gets to play big brother? Are they getting back Dylan Everett?

ReplyDelete
30. Everything sounds cool. So Iris is jelly? Also Barry is asking Wally's wife out. Anyone else find that weird? Malcolm Team Arrow team up. Awesome (love that Laurel on the team). And Merlyn flashbacks so so cool.

ReplyDelete
31. Oliver's back in Uprising, right?

ReplyDelete
32. They're not killing Elijah Mac.

ReplyDelete
33. The Clarke/Abby face off sounds EPIC! I can't wait! All the episode descriptions for The 100 sund amazing.

ReplyDelete
34. Yeah no source, nothing. That's hearsay. At best.

ReplyDelete
35. Is it bad that my gut reaction is relief that Adam Glass isn't attempting a Sam centric, as had been speculated?

ReplyDelete
36. TO-It's very obvious Cw is trying to throw us off by not mentioning Elijah's name in the synopsis, but i'm 100% certain Caleb(Daniel Sharman) will be the one biting the dust.Killing elijah would be a suicide for this show, the writers ain't that stupid!
TVD-I knew that they would intentionally skip the outcome of the merge event to avoid spilling out too much info.Enzo really needs to mind his own business/get laid,it's getting tiresome watching him obsess over stefan's personal life half the season!I'm pretty sure bonnie will come back at the end of the episode to mystic falls. As much as i dislike jeremy right now,his and bonnie's final goodbye would be very emotional,i'm sure.As long they don't start with those long Delena conversations,i'm good. Can't wait for the show to return!

ReplyDelete
37. I'd much prefer a development with a real connection, appropriate for a man in his 30s, but whatever. Diminished expectations.

The rumor is the kid who played Dean last year was seen on set.

ReplyDelete
38. Sharman's a recurring character who plays an Original. He has to be involved. They don't have a boner for him.

ReplyDelete
39. Monty better be fine, man.

ReplyDelete
40. Arrow - Woah! This turned out pretty interesting! Day after day every problem i have is solved! So Digg WILL be the leader of Team Arrow in Oliver's absence. Why would Roy and, especially Laurel, want Malcolm to help? Are things really THAT bad? Malcolm is the reason Oliver is dead so it's obvious Felciity is at odds... Woah! This is the episode Wildcat returns! I foresee a huge battle! ANd Malcolm's flashbacks!!! But hey! Then what's Nanda Parbat? Is it then a Ra's/Nyssa episode then? I'm so pumped! :D

Flash - Wait... Linda as a love interest for Barry? Well, i do have a problem with that... Pfff, well, lets ignore that. It will be great to see Iris reaction for sure! Hope Linda is likeable, so Iris sees her as a threat... Caitlin moving on? Well, considering episode 13 is called The Nuclear Man she will not be moving on Jajaja I'm eager to see Ronnie dynamic with the team(AND GARBER!).

The 100 - When the sinopsis says things go to shit, then it's a shitstorm... I'm not sure i'm ready to see how bad Bellamy and Lincoln's plan goes. Clarke vs Abby? That should be super interesting! :O

ReplyDelete
41. Interestingly, Linda Park is Wally West's wife.

ReplyDelete
42. Yeah he was once quite nice.

ReplyDelete
43. Yeah, I thought making this new girl Linda Park was an odd choice by the Flash people.

ReplyDelete
44. I know, right? That'll be awkward to tell Wally about when comes on the show.

ReplyDelete
45. I'm going to assume there's a reason behind giving the character this specific name but I honestly have no idea what it could possibly be.

ReplyDelete
46. IMO Elijah is the last character DG would want to leave anyway.

He came back to the character in TVDs third season despite shooting SH at the same time. And back then he wasn't even offered a regular position. He has so far been incredibly loyal to the show and the character

ReplyDelete
47. no way would the team join forces with Malcolm........especially he is responsible for Sara death.....Laurel especially

ReplyDelete
48. Sorry man. But there's nothing saying he's dying.

ReplyDelete
49. To make it Linda Park? That and I think I've heard that Iris will become a reporter through her.

ReplyDelete
50. I'm just sad that she's not back yet. I have grown fond of her this season.

ReplyDelete
51. Which is awesome because Ra's is awesome. (Not as cool as the Joker though).

ReplyDelete
52. Oh, okay. I guess they're just repurposing her then. It's a bit plot device-y for me but it's no big deal.

ReplyDelete
53. Wait. Were you able to use f*ck in censored without having to wait for permission?

ReplyDelete
54. GOD Monty. Again? getting captured before the season finally? Man you have no luck!

ReplyDelete
55. Ok once again I skipped some, skimmed a few. I skimmed, Arrow, Flash, SPN, and TVD.

Arrow- Good! Glad Felicity is putting her foot down on the matter. I mean just considering it, is pissing me off.

Flash- Sooo Caitlin wants to move on when Ronnie returns?? I guess they couldn't "fix him" but why does she have to "decide" on Barry's love life? Shouldn't that be his choice?? Unless this is like some wing man thing, then i get it.

TVD- I'm sooo over this Enzo SL and it hasn't even begun. (not counting what happened before he made the decision) Stefan keeps a close eye on Caroline...I hope that means she's gonna pop!!! lol I really want to see it happen.

SPN-- We've seen so many "Dean teens"...now i love Dean, he's always been my favorite, but i'd like to see them switch it up. Why couldn't Sam be the 14 yr old?? smh

That's pretty much all i read. lol

ReplyDelete
56. I want to know what is going on with Elijah... I like him with hope but he needs to stop playing babysitter and needs to get in the fight. Daniel Gillies never said he did not like where his character was going said he enjoyed working with Phoebe. And he said the next part of the season will be epic and this article about Klaus and Elijah switching roles. And he always enjoyed the Originals he is the main actor, he is one of the reasons I watch it. I kind of like Caleb. Love Klaus to stop the wedding I aint that lucky. Haley does not need to tell Jackson everything, he probably wont tell her everything. I do think that Hope is the reason the wedding will stop. This wedding is the stupidiest storyline just more angst. Don't care about it. I guess they are focusing on the wearwolves-- Bring my Elijah. I don't want to seem harsh but maybe Haley or Klaus should take care of their child.
And its time for Bonnie to come home this is taking to long.

ReplyDelete
57. If I remember correctly from the trailer Barry is involved in some kind of bachelor auction.

ReplyDelete
58. Oh okay. That's much cooler.

ReplyDelete
59. I think she still could be Wally's love interest at some point though.

ReplyDelete
60. Yeah, i keep wondering what song he'll sing. Should be lots of fun.

ReplyDelete
61. I am sorry but another Dean story I am just tired of it right now is Sam doing any thing this season? it sure does not buy all this that is happing the MOC story and now this I do not know anymore. But hey too make Dean Fans happy that ok right I will have too check it out it sounds good.

ReplyDelete
62. The show tends to go back and fourth each season. 10 is Deans story, 9 was more Sam's story, etc etc.

I have been enjoying this season so far. I do agree to an extent that Sam needs some more big scenes but we'll see what happens.

ReplyDelete
63. Supernatural. Wow. So the rumor that Dean is turned into a teenager because of some sort of magic and people think Dean is Sam’s son is true. Sam would have been a very young father…

Was there such a backlash for episode Bad Boys that they decided that Dylan Everett can play the part of someone who is 14 even though they originally thought that he looked too old so Dean was 16 in the flashbacks?

ReplyDelete
64. Part of Dylan Everett’s face was shown in the promo briefly.

ReplyDelete
65. Malcolm possibly helping out Team Arrow and we're getting flashbacks of him? Yes please. I love that Clarke is standing her ground when she's starting to become a leader. And I'm all for Barry going out for karaoke night XD It's going to be great and he's going to be so adorable when he's singing haha.

ReplyDelete
66. OMG. Yet more proof that the Supernatural writers are simply taking old fan fic and dusting it off...

ReplyDelete
67. I figured like it would just show case more how Sam is seriously playing the more...I'm trying to find the right word but it's midnight where I'm at and I'll probably mess this up...protective, parental, guardian-like figure to Dean since the Mark and now by "de-aging" him it's just enhancing it more. Probably could lead to a real connection, maybe what Dean went through "raising" Sam and how the roles have kind of switched...Yes, I know they always protect each other, save each other, care for each other...but the show "showcases" more of Dean guarding Sam...

ReplyDelete
68. Malcolm wants to work with Team Arrow. Roy and Laurel are okay with it??? I hope Digg does not approve. There is a limit. Malcolm flashback... Yay.. I thought we will get that in Nanda Parbat.

ReplyDelete
69. Most of us guess it was Dean centric again episodes 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 are Dean centric we've already been told. But yes I share your sentiment here. Adam Glass is a Dean fan and cant write Sam for shit so glad he isnt attempting it. My guess is they did De-aged Dean partly to give Jensen time off as he has been filming a lot during episodes 10 till the one they're on now. The next 2 after 12 are also Dean centric and Dean heavyand its probably going to get really Dean heavy as the season goes onand the MOC story keeps building. Jared probably had time off filming 12 as well.
The only good thing about this episode is the potential for Sam to save Dean (though whats the betting young Dean gets the kill and saves Sam?) and interact with people other than Dean even though that seems unlikely but its possible.
Good to know who Carver gets his ideas for episodes and storylines from though (Dean and Cas fan fic writers).
Will young Dean also have the MOC?
Rumour has it Sam is mistaken for Dean's father in the episode.
10 points to the writers if they have young Dean mention what a dick his older self is.

ReplyDelete
70. the only person they would get to play young Sam is Colin Ford and he cant play 14 year old Sam anymore. I would like in the future though to have 18 year old Sam. I think that Sam at that age would be a very interesting story to explore given that he left to go to Stanford, but they'd probably only do something like that to trash Sam even more. Dont forget everything Sam did when he was younger was selfish and wrong and he was always just a burden on his brother so they would only make it a episode about Sam having to understand why him wanting to live his own life and go to college was so horrible for poor abandoned Dean.

ReplyDelete
71. 9 was Dean's story, Sam was absent the first half playing an oblivious man possessed by an angel and then Dean took on the MOC in the second half and Sam was used a plot device. Even Jensen Ackles said season 9 was the most one brother(Dean) centric the show had ever been.
Please explain what about season 9 was Sam's story?

ReplyDelete
72. Jared looks way too young to play that boys father, boy remeber this is Dean fans getting pandered too so I guess anything goes as long as its all about Dean and Sam learns some kind f big lesson about what its like to be poor wooby Dean.
Would love if young Dean is written as real brat.

ReplyDelete
73. Dean fanfic writers at that too

ReplyDelete
74. Hopefully there is very little Jensen Ackles in the episode and hopefully they make wee Deano a real brat with an attitude problem and not turn this into another lame poor Dean such a hard done by saint with an ungratful brother story.

ReplyDelete
75. i am starting to think Brick or his men had something to do with Rebeccas death.

ReplyDelete
76. A lot depends on what kind of relationship Jared and Dylan were able to form as Sam and Dean.

Maybe Dean will freak out so he won’t listen to Sam, which results in people assuming that Dean is Sam’s rebellious teenage son.

However, they probably didn’t look too closely considering that Dylan Everett was born c. 1995 and Jared was born in 1982…

And Sam learns a lesson on how hard it is to be a big brother *sigh*

ReplyDelete
77. Ohhh... I didn't think like that. Then why is this guy still alive? Why hasn't Malcolm skewered him like sheesh kabab? Was he in prison?

ReplyDelete
78. Thats the only way i can see Malcolm having a score to settle with him.
And why would Malcolm care if a guy was coming to take over Glades when he himself was responsible for the Undertaking. I just felt there was a little hint when they mentioned a flashback where they show him going from a loving husband to a cold-blooded killer. Usually the flashbacks have something to do with the present.

82. You are right. Since we have Malcolm flash backs here it will have something to do with Brick. That means Brick was away somewhere till now. Otherwise Malcolm would have got s revenge before.

God that made me realise since this episode is Malcolm flashback we may not see Oliver at all. I hope we will get to see him recuperating somewhere at least. Now I want to cry :(

83. They've mada a mistake. Sanctuary is 12, not 11th episode

84. I believe JA will only appear at the beginning and the very end of the episode

85. We don't know yet that that's the angle they're going to take, but it's kind of pissing me off that so many people think it's important that Sam understand what it means to be an older brother but those same people aren't arguing that it's important that Dean learn what it means to be a younger brother. I'm a younger sibling too, and there are reasons why people grow into certain pychological patterns based on where they are in the family. Younger siblings are always regarded and treated like the baby of the family so they have to push harder and rebel harder to break away from the family to establish their own identity and become leaders in their own right. Whenever Sam tried to do that, Dean made it personal - made it about what it was doing to him - so that Sam was guilted into surrendering what he needed to grow and establish his own autonomy.

ReplyDelete
86. I just responded something along these lines elsewhere, but I don't understand the argument that it's more important for Sam to experience Dean's side than it is Dean to experience Sam's side. I'm a younger sibling myself, and there are valid arguments on both sides. I know you didn't exactly say that, but that's the vibe I'm picking up from a lot of these comment. I'm not interested in another example of only one side of this relationship being explored.

ReplyDelete
87. I'm not as up on the spoilers, so my information was probably lagging behind.

ReplyDelete
88. I couldn't disagree more that season 9 in any way focused more on Sam. I also don't buy the arguments that season 8 was more Sam centric Celtic since it felt like the show put a lot more time and focus developing the Dean/ Benny / Cas triangle than Sam and Amelia or Sam's role in the trials that didn't involve Dean. In the end, the trials turned out to be a big nothing anyway.

ReplyDelete
89. It's not hearsay. Every interview those two have ever done confirms it. JM used to say he'd never want to see Klaus redeemed and not be evil and lately you can see how he cringes whenever he's forced to talk about the baby and the current storylines. DG called the Haylijah romance "repulsive" and then shut up about it altogether. It's very obvious they're both dissatisfied with the direction of the show and only promote it out of contractual obligation.

90. No it isn’t. When I first saw people speculate that Adman Glass wrote a love letter to Sam like he wrote one to Dean (episode Bad Boys), I thought that there is no way something like that would ever happen. Adam Glass is the biggest Dean-fanboy so why would he write about young Sam? But then I thought that maybe he’d want to change his reputation since he is very involved in the fandom so he could’ve attempted to prove something by writing a Sam-centric episode.

ReplyDelete
91. the only person they would get to play young Sam is Colin Ford and he cant play 14 year old Sam anymore.

Ironically, Dylan Everett is about a year older than Colin Ford.

ReplyDelete
92. It's Felicity's fault.

ReplyDelete
93. Yeah, that was my thought too. Glass would never want to write an episode about both brothers, but if he's in consideration for the showrunner job whenever Carver moves on, he might be motivated to prove that he can write both brothers. But I found that thought a little frightening. I think Sam's best hope is that he get a plot-related storyline that establishes him as a character with thoughts and opinions, and that the current crop of writers leave the deep insight of Sam in the past. They would just twist it and ruin it now.

ReplyDelete
94. Yes, being the baby of the family isn’t all fun and games either especially when your father is John Winchester.

3.08 A Very Supernatural Christmas

Young Sam: Nobody ever tells me anything.
Young Dean: Then quit asking.

4.13 After School Special

Mr. Wyatt: Do you want to go in the family business, Sam?
Young Sam: No one's ever asked me that before.

Sam’s normal desire for independence and wanting to live his own life was turned against him as if Sam was just being selfish. Both Sam and Dean got screwed over by their upbringing but it seems like people love to play up self-sacrificing Dean.

Already back in season one Sam gained a better understanding of what it had been like for Dean when they were both kids so I don’t agree that Sam is in need of learning yet another lesson about his big brother. Besides, I'd like to think that a big part of Dean loves taking care of his brother because such a huge part of his identity is tied to being a big brother. At least I hope that he doesn’t hold a bowl of Lucky Charms against Sam!

I suppose About a Boy could still be Sam-centric because Sam is himself 100% while teenage Dean will provide comic relief. The situation could be pretty scary for Dean because he wouldn’t want to grow up all over again and be stuck as the youngest who needs looking after.

ReplyDelete
95. Yeah that was because Hayley was preggers. Now he says the opposite. And Joseph Morgan doesn't seem upset.

ReplyDelete
96. I thought season 9 was Dean focused there was not a Sam-centric episode last season Sam was not aware of the possession so therefore could not react to it and when he was aware the episodes focused on Dean not Sam until he ended up as a demon.

ReplyDelete
97. if he's in consideration for the showrunner job whenever Carver moves on, he might be motivated to prove that he can write both brothers

That’s a good point! If Adam Glass wrote a Sam-centric episode it’d best if it was about present-day Sam. Glass didn’t pay much attention to the characterization of young Sam when he wrote Bad Boys.

I think Sam's best hope is that he get a plot-related storyline that establishes him as a character with thoughts and opinions, and that the current crop of writers leave the deep insight of Sam in the past. They would just twist it and ruin it now.

Sadly, yes. For instance, I used to be so curious about the circumstances around Sam leaving for college but now I don’t want the writers to touch such a vital yet controversial part of the characters’ past. It sucks because I remember being so excited when I saw a picture of Colin Ford wearing a shirt that said Stanford.

98. It's hard to say why Jeremy stuck around after Bonnie supposedly died. It could have been for his sister AND in the vain hope they would find a way to bring Bonnie back. He's already given up on Bonnie, so if an occurrence in this episode is what prompts him to leave, it'll probably be something about Elena. Either Jeremy will decide that he can't stomach Delena anymore, or there will be some other development. He might just decide in the beginning of the episode that there's nothing left for him in Mystic Falls but bad memories, and the party will be Elena's attempt to make him want to stay. Spoilers about when he leaves could be off by one episode.

I'm still trying to figure out how they could discover anything about Bonnie from that ascendant, or how an entire "situation" could become dire from it. Bonnie doesn't have any power right now, so a message to her would be one-way and there wouldn't be a way to check on her without going into the dimension with her. If her friends were able to do that, they wouldn't just be sending her a message. It makes more sense that using the ascendant would trigger a revelation about the dimension itself, or about one of the people using the ascendant. Maybe the Gemini coven will destroy Kai's former prison and Bonnie will end up somewhere else. She's supposed to go through a lot before she returns.

99. OMG. Never even occurred to me that Glass would be up for showrunner - but Carver is likely gone after this year (3 year contract and he's attached to another project now too)... Well, we had five good years, right...

ReplyDelete
100. And way to go SPN - great way to refocus fan wars on the Dean vs Sam fans and away from Destiel...

ReplyDelete
101. From what I've heard, Glass is considered the most senior of those currently on the writing team, under Carver and Singer. Other speculation is that Kripke could come back (something I highly doubt, but I wasn't expecting Carver to come back either), or that they pull someone else in from the outside.

ReplyDelete
102. I've speculated Kripke myself. I would think that JA and JP probably had to re-sign after this season, and I'm betting that they wanted some assurances as to who the showrunner would be. There may be a final "package" deal in place to wrap up the series - Seriously, how great would it be if they had Kripke, JA, JP, and Bob Singer all signed for a final arc?

ReplyDelete
103. Scratch Singer off that list, and I could get on board with that!

ReplyDelete
104. This is episode 3.12, the episode where Oliver is rumored to come back, so I think we will see him in this episode. Most likely at its final minutes, but still.

ReplyDelete
105. Singer's pretty integral to the day to day nuts and bolts - and I have no objection to his direction - he does still generally get pretty good performances out of them...

ReplyDelete
106. I find maybe half of the episodes Singer has directed to be overplayed in some way - overly campy, over-acted all around, too much flash and/or background noise. I also have had problems with most of the creative writing-direction decisions that have been publicly attributed to him. Finally, while I've been hesitant to use the "nepotism duo" description with his wife's writing team, there's some truth to it. Questions about their talent aside, they've been allowed to completely disregard canon over and over again, and I think the the show would improve a lot by just their removal alone - assuming they're replaced by someone who's moderately talented and respects the story.

Singer probably contributes a lot that I have no knowledge of, but he's also been at the job 10 years, and it's common for people to start to burn out after so many years on the same job. The show might benefit from fresh eyes and an infusion of the energy and enthusiasm of someone new to the job.

107. I'm actually pretty excited for this episode of Supernatural! I think it will be good chance to have some Sam POV. Then again, Glass did write the episode, and he doesn't seem to do so great at Sam POV scenes, so I may have to not keep my hopes up for that. But I am excited to see a little bit of a role reversal where Sam will kind of be the big brother in this episode. I'm not going to judge before the episode even airs, though. Can't wait for Supernatural to return! I've missed it.

ReplyDelete
108. I'm interested in what Elijah is doing too. He might be the one to see Hope do extraordinary things. Maybe Hope will pop up in his dreams, too, or she might somehow break whatever spell Esther put on him.

I'm glad to see more about the werewolves because until now they've just been a plot device while the show focused way too much on Mikaelson family drama. There's no reason to have the wolves around if they don't have any real stories. I'm actually wondering where Klaus' werewolf family is. Maybe he evacuated them? So far all we've seen is Ansel, and he was holed up with Jackson. Speaking of Ansel, Klaus had to have more than one reason for killing him. Maybe Hope isn't the only secret Klaus is keeping, and if Ansel continued feeling the call of his blood, he would find something even Cami can't know about. I'd also like to know what Jackson has to say about Hayley's parents. Jackson was a baby when they were mysteriously killed.

I think the Gemini coven will destroy Kai's 1994 prison, not caring what happens to Bonnie, and she'll have to find her own way back from a dark dimension. We probably won't see much of it because CD doesn't want to explore that mythology too much, but we'll see Bonnie come back with a different outlook on life because of whatever she'll go through, and we'll have some idea of what happened to her.

ReplyDelete
109. I understand that but no, I'm not saying it's more important (I'm technically a middle sibling) because quiet honestly with how "reckless and impulsive" Dean can be, Sam is kind of like the older brother sometimes. I just think that's what they are getting at. Plus it might give JA sometime off since apparently JP's been "MIA" from set...don't know if that's true but just a theory.

ReplyDelete
110. In a way though Dean is, it's just subtle. Like Dean went through that phase of wanting a normal life like Sam and just learned he couldn't have it. The Mark of Cain is very similar to the Demon Blood thing so Dean's dealing with the same "addiction" Sam was (being tricked into doing it by a demon that seems to be on your side doesn't help either), Dean went through "being a monster" just like he claimed Sam was in S4. He's gone through the "soulless-ness" while being a demon that Sam did and feels the guilt of the harm that he's caused people while being so. I'm hoping/feeling that Carver has big plans for Sam in the terms of "manning up" though I agree Sam has done so on multiple occasions (the Hell trials for example) but I think this just leading up to Sam's big moment of saving Dean. I've stated before that yes he has saved Dean multiple times and other way around, but I always think back to S3 +S4 when Sam felt guilty that he couldn't save Dean so now he gets to have said moment "saving Dean from Hell" or even "saving Dean from himself".

ReplyDelete
111. I hope you are right. I want to see him in some capacity in every episode.

ReplyDelete
112. I was thinking half and half the season's too like season 8 was half Dean and then half Sam and that was ok and then the season 9 was mostly Dean because he was the one the got Sam too say yes to all that angel crap and then the MOC story line happen its like well there you go. I would just love seeing Sam talking too Dog's or being turned into a kid they look like fun Eps that all is that to much to ask?

ReplyDelete
113. I think Daniel Gillies was more upset about a love triangle. And if you watch Comic con he said he liked working with Phoebe and looks forward what will happen-- he was against that when she was pregnet. And I think Daniel feels strongly about this show. And he even said that this was going to be a epic rest of the season.

ReplyDelete
114. I think it's a height issue with Colin now. He is almost Jensen height. I think if he did come back he may play pre college Sam or something.

ReplyDelete
115. I wouldn’t want them to try to pass Colin Ford off as being a 14-year-old considering that Sam was supposed to be fourteen in 4.13 After School Special even though he looked really small back then XD And Sam was 15 in 7.03 The Girl Next Door. If Colin Ford came back, I’d want the show to try to be consistent so young Sam would have to be around Colin’s age in the episode.

117. Very typical of Reign, to paint Elizabeth as a woman who hated her cousin when it was actually Mary who hated her and wanted to kill her. I swear they are so biased to Mary when it comes to their rivalry, when it was Mary who actually started the rivalry in the first place by not signing that treaty.
