The 100 - Season 2 - Lindsey Morgan Interview

Thanks to Spindae2 for the heads up.

If you thought Clarke was having a rough time coping with Finn’s loss, just wait ’til you see how Raven is handling it — or, rather, how she’s not handling it.

“We see Raven go through it all,” Lindsey Morgan tells TVLine in advance of Wednesday’s The 100 winter premiere (The CW, 9/8c). “We see her throw herself into her work, she tries to block everyone out, she lashes out at people — and even that is just her putting her own pain on someone else. She’s got a giant hole in her heart, and you’re really going to see her struggle.”

As for Raven’s thoughts on Clarke…

“She’s not happy with Ms. Griffin,” Morgan admits. “Sure, [Finn] was the love of [Raven’s] life, but he was also her only family. He was all she had, and Clarke knew that. It almost makes it worse that Clarke and Raven had finally become friends; can you imagine your friend killing your family. If Clarke killed Bellamy, how would Octavia feel? They only have each other. It’s such an unforgivable act in Raven’s eyes.”

  1. Really Clarke did all she could to save Finn life and then have to do it herself so he wouldn't suffer in my opinion Finn brought this on himself going crazy and Raven can't forgive Clarke give me a break

  2. But it's normal for Raven to feel hurt. As seen in the flashbacks, she owes her life to Finn and he was her everything. We should be aware that the episode picks up right after the killing. So I it's normal.

  4. It's frustrating but Raven is devasted. She lost her only family and the only person she loves. She's not thinking clearly. She just sees it as her friend killing the boy she loved. I definitely think eventually she will understand Clarke had to do it. At least I hope!

  5. I am for realistic and irrational grief coming from Raven. They just need to be careful in terms of how far they take the irrational part so as not to make Raven unlikable. At some point, she has to cope and accept that Clarke wouldn't have been able to save Finn and just did (at great personal sacrifice) what she did to spare him from suffering.

Can't wait to have the show back!!

  6. I think they need to be careful as to until when they take this. I think it's amazing to see it for now because grief is not often rational and this is clearly the case. Often people only need someone to blame and are not rational in terms of who they blame. So I think it is realistic to watch her go through this. Obviously though, at some point the writers need to have her accepting the reality and realize that Clarke isn't to blame for what happened, on the contrary. But I don't mind that it is a journey for her to get there.
