    And the answer to your question: No. I don't stalk her. She's just got this annoying habit of popping up everywhere I look.

    I know she is criticesed - btw rightfully - a lot because of her acting skills but having her roles handed to her don't help her situation either. I wouldn’t ever want to make a real person feel bad, but in my opinion Phoebe is not meant to be an actress. She strikes me as the kind of person who just doesn’t have the knack for it.

    I'd rather be the PT defense squad and commenting on an article of someone I'm actually a fan of rather than a hater wasting her time commenting negative shit. If you saw the article on a newsfeed, ignore it.

    She is overly criticized to the point that her "critics" feel the need to comment on her every move and find fault with it. In my opinion, Phoebe is doing fine with her role. But hey it doesn't matter because she is an actress regardless of who likes it or not. She doesn't have her roles handed to her, she auditioned for the Secret Circle and impressed Kevin Williamson when on the show, so he gives her the opportunity. Lots of writers, directors, and producers have preferences for specific actors or actress and like to work with them on different projects, its no one else's business and it pathetic how some people feel the need to whine about it on every website.

    ok hey, let's just get one thing straight. i get that you like Phoebe and you find her a great actress BUT let's not say things that are untrue like "she doesn't have her roles handed to her". Both KW and PT admitted she got he roles without auditioning, moreover - just in case if you didn't know - there wasn't even The Originals if it wasn't for PT because they LITERALLY created the show for HER.
    and to be fair, i would have no problem with that if she was actually capable of some basic acting because I DON'T hate Phoebe Tonkin, I don’t really have an opinion of her as a person, so I won’t attack her in any way like that, but I can surely comment on her acting skills. She is very wooden, and she moves her jaw so annoyingly. Her performance is very…minimal. She cannot really convey a depth of emotion needed for many of the scenes she is in. I don’t really care about her accent though, Hayley sounds normal to me in that regard. People all have their own tone of voice, their own way of saying some things, so it doesn’t annoy me. But she does not deserve to be on The Originals in such a capacity. Honestly, I think she should have stayed with modelling because she is very beautiful, thin, young and incredibly photogenic.

    JFC try not to mention all the time that a certain EP unfairly favors you. especially since people already criticized her for being given a role that she's horrible at

    I never said she was a great actress, and I never would have even commented if I hadn't gotten annoyed with seeing these types of comments on literally every single article involving her. She is a decent enough actress for the role, which isn't even technically the lead, Hayley doesn't get the same amount of screentime or storylines centered around her that Elena does on TVD. Her role isn't one that would result in any actress winning an Emmy therefore all of the constant "criticism" of her acting by people is pretty ridiculous.
    As for me saying things that are untrue, please direct me to the article talking about how The Originals was "created" for her. The spinoff was in talks back in s3 of TVD when Phoebe was still on The Secret Circle. I know she didn't audition for the role of Hayley, not every character on television is one that is auditioned for, sometimes directors or producers have certain actors in mind they want to work with. She still proved herself to Kevin when she auditioned for the role of Faye on TSC, she said it was about a month's worth of auditions. As for Stalker, this is a GUEST role, as in, she appears in a sole episode and its done, there's no need for a lengthy audition process for that.
    Who are you to deem someone as not "deserving" to be in their profession? Do you realize The Originals is a CW show? Maybe your "criticisms" would be credible if Phoebe just suddenly landed a role on Game of Thrones or another award winning show, but this is a supernatural show on a network joked about all the time as one that values looks. So, Phoebe fits right in, and I never saw any of these relentless negative comments about her acting before she joined The Originals, a show where people wanted their fave to be on, and they're resentful that Phoebe is on it and their fave isn't.

    I already watched this interview, I loved it :) I think it's funny, you found this article before I did and commented on it, and you also found her interview and took the time to watch it even though you don't like her, interesting.
    I think its great she's ambitious and reaches out to people she has a good rapport with to find other projects to work on. Kevin probably told him to contact her when she had free time if she wanted to do something else, and so she did. Better than sitting on her ass during her filming hiatus, or just aimlessly going on vacays to other countries. She wants to improve and challenge herself as an actress. She never said the EP favors her. Kevin has a good relationship with a lot of his employees and gives them opportunities to further collaborate with him. I highly doubt you'd be acting like this was a negative thing if it was someone who wasn't Phoebe in this exact same interview saying the exact same things. Maybe you shouldn't be going on articles about her and watching her interviews if all it does is piss you off. Spend that time keeping up with the so called more talented actresses.
