Today's Early Overnight Ratings

This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)

Tables being updated live. Please refresh for updates.

About the Daily Ratings

Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

  1. That's awful for Glee.

    ReplyDelete
  2. but not surprising they ended season 5 with a 0.6

I don't know the trend for friday shows (only started to follow top 25 now) but typically CBS goes up and ABC and FOX down, so CBS might finish at 1.4-1.2-1.3, ABC at 1.4-1.1 and FOX at 0.8-0.7

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yep the Glee Ratings chart is not pretty reading

  5. About what I expected for Glee.

And remember: Glee! Is the feeling you get when you let your heart get on your pants!

    ReplyDelete
  6. And FOX's good strike just came to an end.

And that seems awfully high for Shark Tank. @omabin, do you have a ratio from top25 to finals for ABC's Friday?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I wonder if the demos will actually be higher?

    ReplyDelete
  8. FOX tends to go down, not up.

FOX, ABC and CW usually go down from top25 markets while CBS and NBC tend to go up.
    Not exact but...

  9. It depends on what failsJanuary 10, 2015 at 3:51 PM

    Glee!
It's like a drug that you use
That turns your pain into shoes
    And your shoes into dance

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ouch glee and not that good for CBS. Abc will fall from top 25. They always do

    ReplyDelete
  11. Glee is the answer when questions are wrong!
You'll understand if you just sing along!
Cuz Glee is the feel that we neeeeeeed!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I am not happy. I was just stating facts

    ReplyDelete
  13. Cuz Glee is the feel that we need
To bring FOX back into reality
    After such a tremendous week
    Oh, the glee we felt.
    Before Glee was here!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Glee will do that to you.
That Funniest Fails should do mid 0s next week.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lower is more likely.

    ReplyDelete
  16. On The CW it depends on the show. It have yet to see The 100 going lower than its top25

    ReplyDelete
  17. That's good for the show itself.

    ReplyDelete
  18. My gut says Glee will be just shy over 2 million viewers and it'll be a 0.7-0.8 demo

    ReplyDelete
  19. Poor, poor Glee. I kind of feel bad.

What will that 1.3 T25 translate to for Cristela?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, I figure as much. I was just curious what you and other people thought.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Probably 1.0-1.1

    ReplyDelete
  22. LMS: 1.6
    Cristela: 1.3
    Shark Tank: 1.9
    20/20: 1.4

    ReplyDelete
  23. Undercover Boss: 1.5
    H50: 1.5
    Blue Bloods: 1.4

    ReplyDelete
  24. No, that 1.3 translated exactly to 1.3 lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. It depends on what failsJanuary 10, 2015 at 4:03 PM

That's a nice showing for ABC.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That Home Improvement reunion surely helped LMS.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It depends on what failsJanuary 10, 2015 at 4:04 PM

Undercover Boss and old people at home, the solution for CBS friday woes.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Retirement homes, i.e.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The best thing that could be said about Glee is that at least it wasn't as pathetic as its 0.6 on Tuesday

    ReplyDelete
  30. Awful. It didn't even deserve the 13 episodes it got.

    ReplyDelete
  31. At least they trimmed it, could you imagine 22 episodes of that?

    ReplyDelete
  32. It will hit new lows this season.

    ReplyDelete
  33. After last year's showing, I think that was a given.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Most likely. Whose Line Is It Anyway will destroy it

    ReplyDelete
  35. It depends on what failsJanuary 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM

40% improvement over Utopia's last episode. Put that on your press release, FOX.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nah, the series final will probably scrap a 0.8 or even a 1, but before that I expect to see a 0.3 down the line

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lol, H50 beat out Blue Bloods' 100th ep.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, if only FOX did press releases like ABC, it would be so much fun!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm not sure if the series final will bring a lot people into the show again.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It H50 usually beat BB.

    ReplyDelete
  41. News Special - Golden Globes
NBC sure likes to milk everything dry.

    ReplyDelete
  42. It usually does, most series finales see at least some kind of rising from their previous episodes.
Fringe got a season high, DH too, House increased a lot, and so on with lots of shows. Even 30 Rock ended high when it looked impossible for it to scrap high 1s. So I expect Glee to deliver some kind of rise

    ReplyDelete
  43. Only twice this season before these ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Didn't expect LMS to be that strong. It helped Cristela a lot too.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Isn't that Cristela's 1.3 a series high?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Solid ratings for Cristela. I don't have time to catch up, will hopefully find it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. ABC and CBS had good nights.
FOX must be hitting their heads against the wall for renewing Glee for 2 seasons

    ReplyDelete
  48. Tied the pilot

    ReplyDelete
  49. Last Man Standing did awesome. Happy for the fans :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, he gave FOX Empire and Gotham, so I think that makes it up somehow?

    ReplyDelete
  51. ABC had a nice night as did CBS

Same can't be said for FOX, NBC

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh. That 1.6 is a season high for LMS.

    ReplyDelete
  53. For the show, yes; if it is able to hold on to that ABC may renew it, but that's a big IF

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think it is its highest rating since season 2

    ReplyDelete
  55. Phenomenal for LMS, Cristela and H50.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Did it even hit that last year? I don't remember it doing this well in a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Now I wonder if "The World's Funniest Fails" will actually help it?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Glee raining on FOX parade this week

    ReplyDelete
  59. Nope, it didn't hit this last year. Last year's season high was a 1.5 for the premiere - a number that it matched and, now, surpassed.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Nah. WFF will give The Assets a run for its money.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Highest rating for LMS since the season 2 finale (March 2013).

    ReplyDelete
  62. Cristela began at 8:31 so it might adjust down.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wonder how much it will retain on upcoming weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Banged by Chris EvansJanuary 10, 2015 at 4:16 PM

How are possible those numbers for LMS & Cristela?!?

    ReplyDelete
  65. None of it most likely. I think it rose only because of the Home Improvement reunion.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Even if it adjusts down a tenth, it would be the highest rating since the pilot. I'm sure ABC won't mind.

    ReplyDelete
  67. LMS did a mini Home Improvement Reunion.

    ReplyDelete
  68. It seems inflanted but they are not

    ReplyDelete
  69. Apparently there was a Home Improvement reunion on LMS (Tim Allen was a star on both). Cristela definately benefitted both from that and probably picked up new fans with its strong rerun numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Holy carp at Glee. Its overall viewership is expected and sort of on average what Fringe was doing during its final season and the 18-49 demo is bad, but up from the 0.6 final last May.

Last Man Standing did amazing last night. Great numbers and the Home Improvement reunion really helped the ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Fringe avaraged a 1.0 on its final season

    ReplyDelete
  72. SEASON HIGH FOR HAWAII FIVE-0!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. The fact it was renewed after S4 was a mild surprise - the fact that it got two full season orders was downright insanity. At least, they trimmed to 13, which they should've cut to 6, but probably the contract defined 13 as a season. These ratings are so bad, it's awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I know I sound like a broken record saying this, but I still don't understand why they're not putting Bones before Glee instead.

    ReplyDelete
  75. CBS did very good business. Undercover Boss helps H50 and BB more than The Amazing Race.

    ReplyDelete
  76. My sister watch's glee, so its a good thing that this is the final season

    ReplyDelete
  77. Both were very highly promoted with special guest stars

    ReplyDelete
  78. Does this help a lot for Hawaii Five-0s renewal chances??

    ReplyDelete
  79. No. Have to see what happens in spring

    ReplyDelete
  80. Believed its the most watched since season 2 premiere

    ReplyDelete
  81. LOL!Glee.I was right.I predicted 0.6 after final adjuments. It may just hit that!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Wow!Great numbers H50!Keep it up.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I believe Masters of Illusion was a new episode rather then a rerun. Jan 9, 16 and 30 are new episodes with a rerun on the 23rd. @DarkUFO

    ReplyDelete
  84. Im sad for Glee tbh a show thats tarted so high seeing this low numbers the same is happening to Revenge and i hate it. I will enjoy this last seasonn only 11 weeks to go

    ReplyDelete
  85. The original episode of HOD got a 0.4

    ReplyDelete
  86. It's been one year since I decided to leave my office job and i couldn't be happier now... I started working from home, for this company I stumbled upon over internet, few hours each day, and I make much more than i did on my office job... Pay-check i got for last month was for 9000 bucks... The best thing about this is the more free time i got for my family...

  87. 1 yr have passed since I finally resigned from my last job and that decision was a life changer for me... I started to work from my house, for a company I found over internet, few hours every day, and I profit now much more than i did on my last job... My payment for last month was for 9k dollars... Superb thing about it is that now i have more free time with my kids...

    ReplyDelete
  88. Not good for CBS? Are we looking at the same chart? All 3 shows are in the top 5 of both the 18-49 Demo and Total Viewers.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Not true I'm 33 and I watched 2 of the 3 shows on CBS.

    ReplyDelete
  90. That was when the top 25 were posted, so when the 18-49 rating was not in yet

    ReplyDelete
  91. and you imply what? That older folks bother you somehow?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yep, but someone said TAR will be back mid February. :(

    ReplyDelete
  93. Season high for H50, even if it gets adjusted down a tenth (same rating and share, but more viewer than last weeks episode). Hope they can keep it up...
