Wow this episode was heavy. There was a lot of stuff in there. I liked it. I liked it a lot. Give my comment later. I need to watch Ichabod sing some karaoke!! Sleepy Hollow time!
- The brothers interacting, loved how Finn threw Kol out midway because...let's be honest: NewKol isn't a Mikaelson. He's a whiny b*tch. Mikaelsons don't beg for mercy.
- Elijah revealing his darkest secret to Klaus, oh my god. That was powerfull. Daniel Gillies is a freaking powerhouse if it comes to acting.
- Finn, he might be an a** but Yusuf Gatewood just delivers so well
- Marcel being a perfect leader came off as really well told. Loved the WW1 flashbacks and that musical number. Brilliant.
negative:
- Kol/Davina irk me. Because a.) Davina used to be smarter than that but now is Kol prison hoe and b.) THIS IS NOT KOL, I can accept recasts but I can't accept this sh*t
- I would have shown the new animal heads after Elijah and Klaus breaking the illusion. Giving Elijahs stag head a monster-esque expression and Klaus wolf a more honourable one.
LOVED this episode, however: Kol needs to go, rather Nate in flashbacks than Sharman in present day
If anyone thought before that Hayley would never put the baby in danger to marry Jackson, they were proven wrong tonight. Klaus will have to compel her to forget that Hope is alive, no two ways about it.
I love that Klaus forgave Elijah. Klaus had 1,000 years to grieve Tatia's death and now he just laughs about that love triangle. However, I still think that someone should acknowledge how much death and chaos that huge lie caused in Mystic Falls. If Klaus didn't think that his mother murdered the woman he loved to curse him, would he have killed his mother and then turned off his humanity? Wouldn't Elena have given a little bit of blood to help a misunderstood species who was cursed by his own mother and hunted for 1,000 years by his stepfather, who also hunted Elena when she was a child? If not for the lie surrounding Tatia's death, John, Isobel, Jenna, and even Elena might not have been killed.
The Marcel stuff was a waste of screen time as usual. I love history, but not in this context or as a plot device, and we already knew that Klaus has severe abandonment issues.
Right? I gained a little respect for Hayley when she seemed to actually allign her feelings for her child and her life. But now? Nope. Absolutely showed how dumb she is as a character.
I'm actually rooting for the ritual to be a hoax for Jackson to inherit Hayleys power so he can take over NO (only to be murdered by either Elijah, Hayley or Klaus....or Hope for that matter).
Was starting to tolerate Hayley when they started to at least expose her romantic arc less but now? Off with her head.
Arrogant/condescending Elijah is such a treat. I can't blame the guy, he's been around for 1000 years so he's kind of earned it.
The scenes of the brothers in the cabin was really well done. The actor playing Finn is amazing. I especially loved Klaus snarking on Finn being a Boar/Bore.
Loved the flashbacks to WWI, that was a good setup for Marcel's present day story.
I still don't care about the Werewolf story-line at all. However, I did miss Rebekah, I was really looking forward to seeing more of Bex and Freya.
Almost forgot, I really love the Elijah/Klaus relationship, it's totally messed up but the actors play off each other so well.
Love that Klaus forgave Elijah for killing Tatia it was nice seeing more of Marcel back story is it wrong that I like Finn more than Kol I mean love the actor who plays Kol but I really want him to go I like Hayley and Jackson I don't ship couples but I want Klaus and Cami already but I know it's going to be a while because Klaus only have love for his daughter and that's all he can give right now I can't wait
Just compel her. The fallout if her death would be too annoying. That being said I believe she just trusts Jackson (still not a smart decision though).
Cant stand Jackson and Haley of course I am on the opposite ship. But I do like Cami and Klaus. There is one ship I don't want and I wont say what that is
Joseph shot down Klaus/Cami in a recent interview, I don't think it will ever happen. He said that may have been the plan when they started out but they changed course and it won't happen.
Klaus would have still needed to kill Elena to break the curse. They messed up by not having Bonnie just cast a protection spell on Elena or using Elijah's elixir - because Damon forced his blood down her throat so she'd become a vampire John died (for nothing - since Elena became a vampire anyway).
Klaus killed Jenna to get back at the MFG for trying to stop him from breaking the curse/meddling in his plans.
Well I wont believe it until I see it, I am on the Haley and Elijah ship and Julie is not the only producer. All that I read was that Klaus was not going to have a relationship at this time. Then why would they start in season 2 with the dance an everything. I guess nobody knows what will happen. Like I thought Klaus would get mad at Elijah and I guess not
He never confirmed it wont happen As if he would know. It's not like he's writing the show. Klaroline will also not happen So TVD fans can forget about it. Originals are a seperate show and Klaus will find a love interest within the show. It also wont be Hayley cuz Klaus ain't the type of guy to fall for a girl he's had a random one night stand with. Even if she's had his kid as a result. And i guess it's safe to assume it won't ever be Davina. Lol
Loved the episode. Brothers in the cabin was wonderful. Elijah talking down to Finn. Elijah knows how to hit him where it hurts. I love how smart Finn was in realizing the brothers were keeping something from him. Loved the fact that Elijah told the truth to Klaus and Klaus forgave him. Progress!!! A child do have an effect.
Kol/Davina is going to crash and burn. Kol is too selfish for this to turn otherwise. I hope when the time comes Davina gets to kick some ass. Hayley/Jackson and their wedding troubles.. Boring yet I am happy they are together and far away from other awesome characters.
Cami is good at her job. Elijah knew Freud lol. How beautiful was baby Hope? That munchkin is out of this world.. Now when will she show some powers of her own..
I am really disappointed by the way Mikael was used this season. Why bring him if he is not to be used at all? This revolving door of bad guys is not my favorite story telling method. First Esther, then Mikael, now Finn later on may be Freya and dear old aunt. I hope next season at least we will have one big bad everyone will be fighting against.
Re: Mikael, I think Sebastian Roche's recurring status in the show has something to do with his character not being realized by the writers to its full potential. I've read somewhere that he's booked some gigs, I'm guessing it includes a return to General Hospital so that would have at least prevent Mikael being used more very often than we, as fans, would have liked.
--Finally, an episode where Marcel is utilized, he gained my utmost respect, he leads by example, and fought off hunger, a deadly wolf bite, and a legion of disobeying vampires, the man deserves credit !
--I pitied Hayley for almost a second, when she chose to protect her daughter, and fear the consequences of the original family if any harm happens to Hope that she's responsible for, I think she bit off more that she can chew! but then she trusted Jackson, I think he can't be trusted, he's too shady!
--Elijah doesn't have to apologize for anything, especially to Klaus! yes they may have loved Tatia both, but it was Elijah who had to live without the woman he loves, knowing that he killed her, then having guilt creeping up on him that he shut it off, but nonetheless Klaus forgiveness was a good thing to relieve Elijah, but it's also a common courtesy to the man who's been forgiving him since the day he was born.
-- please get rid of the new Kol, too whiny, helpless! where's the real Kol
I don't think there is any other way interpret Kol. He is a fox. He is selfish and destructive to the bone. At least from what we have seen till now. I like him the way he is.
yeah i guess, i guess i just want Davina to have something good and not be heartbroken, i also found it funny that he's a fox because of Teen Wolf and Nogitsune LOL
Favorite things about this episode were, in order: 1. Finn proving to be smarter than I'd given him credit. Becoming independent from Esther did wonder for him, indeed. 2. Everything Marcel. 3. Elijah being the one to realize what had to be done to break Finn's magic and protect Klaus' ~precious secret. Elijah owes nothing at fucking all to Klaus. 4. I think Kol can be turned around. If they can give small likable qualities to Klaus then they can give some honesty and loyalty to Kol. If at least he shows loyalty towards Davina that is a win.
I think this problematic part of the ritual is the Crescent Clan's attempt to get inside information about the Original family that they might be able to use as leverage. As usual, Hayley is so desperate to be with her werewolf family that she doesn't care who she steps on. I'm glad to see this part of her character finally exposed. Hayley was never any damsel in distress, and I think she would seize any excuse to get away from the Original family and the feelings and behaviors even she acknowledges as being inappropriate, or "weird." Finn is supposed to cause a problem during one of the rituals, but there's no indication that Hayley and Jackson won't get married. If anything, the werewolves might eventually become allies in protecting Hope because she's supposed to be part of their clan. That was why Klaus decided to ally himself with them last season. They're Hope's other family and he didn't want to lose her if she joined them. Klaus is on edge now because Hope is in a lot more danger than she was in Episode 1x17.
Klaus told Cami about Hope, but Hayley can't tell Jackson about her? It will be her husband. Telling Jackson doesn't equal telling the rest of the pack. I think she can trust him. She is trying to create an army to protect his daughter. I do not understand the hate.
I don't think he is sincere with Davina at all as of now. She is just a means to an end. I think there is potential in the future if he remains in the witch body. Davina's loyalty could win him over.
Yea then what was up with them dancing. I am missing Cami and Klaus and Elijah and Haley. I do like the Cami and Elijah scenes as friends. Dont trust Jackson, and I like Haley but she is not being smart. I was happy that Klaus forgave Elijah like Elijah has always forgave him.
I hope its not Haley because I am on the opposite ship. But when you read Julie said thta Klaus might be added to the mix. I dont want another love triangles between brothers. And I get nervous about the limited Elijah and Haley scenes
I thought this episode was good. I like the friendship of Elijah and Cami. Elijah needs someone to talk to wished it was Haley- but she is to worried about Jackson. Daniel Gillies is amazing actor. Hey Elijah and Hayley still get more scene than some other ship i know *cough* Klami. :) i wouldnt worry about Klaus falling for Hayley. For Klaus falling for Hayley would be soooo OOC that even Klaroline would make more sense
Such an great episode!! I even loved the WW1 Flashbacks and I usually hate stuff like that. This whole episode made me like Marcel much more. He is a great leader! A MUCH better leader that Klaus could ever be!! The only thing that was missing was Rebekah. Thats true but i get why they have less scenes. Klaus is really too busy now protecting Hope so he doesnt have time for sexy dates with Cami :) yet he still made sure to protect her when she needed it. in S1 Hayley havent had the baby yet so nobody wanted to kill her ThereforeKlaus had more time for other pasttimes. If they had more scenes this year and Klaus wasnt this attentive to Hope their scenes would feel forced and pointless. Shes not a supernatural creature to go kill wolves with him and instead needs to be protected. Thats why Klaus put Cami and his daughter together. Wow that was long i hope u got my point.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

a stalker and a creepy old lady i wonder why you can't trust them? LOL
ReplyDeletetrue that, i don't know why people are acting as if this is something new
ReplyDeleteand how old's Kaleb?
ReplyDeleteand where is it?
ReplyDeleteI forget - it was a few days back, but it wasn't a print interview - it was Joseph answering questions on some entertainment website.
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode. Loads of great moments:)

ReplyDeleteyeah they can't sit and tell us that those crazy romantic and hot scenes are just friends, so we shouldn't lose hope right?
ReplyDeletedo you ever see a day when Davina and Klaus will become full allies, we got pretty close tonight but do you see it?
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode. Brothers in the cabin was wonderful. Elijah talking down to Finn. Elijah knows how to hit him where it hurts. ReplyDeleteso you don't think if Kol stayed with Elijah and Klaus in the hunt cabin he would've been misinterpreted too?

all in all, a great hour of TV.
Oh, he's been in the soap business for more than half a decade now. Then again, he's always everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHere's his most recent appearance on GH. :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1oibiNTrzg
I don't think there is any other way interpret Kol. He is a fox. He is selfish and destructive to the bone. At least from what we have seen till now. I like him the way he is.
ReplyDeleteOuch.. My "House" feels!! It hurts me to see him in a soap :) "Are you a vampire now?" lol
ReplyDeleteyeah i guess, i guess i just want Davina to have something good and not be heartbroken, i also found it funny that he's a fox because of Teen Wolf and Nogitsune LOL
ReplyDeleteKol's always been a whiny brat, that's definitely not new, i'm sorry you forgot
ReplyDeleteI said TOO whiny :p
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! :D
ReplyDeleteokay? i don't get it, whiny's whiny no matter how you slice it
ReplyDelete"Elijah doesn't have to apologize for anything, especially to Klaus!"
ReplyDeleteSeriously. I HATED Klaus' "more depraved than I am" line. You better check your respective lists of atrocities/body count again, fruitcake.
Favorite things about this episode were, in order:
ReplyDelete1.
4. Hayley and Jackson being dull together, away from the rest of the characters.

ReplyDeleteyeah that was so funny
ReplyDeleteso, so far have we? he said she liked him but he didn't say if he did
ReplyDeleteI did not care for this actress in Secret Circle either.
ReplyDeleteI think this problematic part of the ritual is the Crescent Clan's attempt to get inside information about the Original family that they might be able to use as leverage. As usual, Hayley is so desperate to be with her werewolf family that she doesn't care who she steps on. I'm glad to see this part of her character finally exposed. Hayley was never any damsel in distress, and I think she would seize any excuse to get away from the Original family and the feelings and behaviors even she acknowledges as being inappropriate, or "weird." ReplyDeleteIt will be her husband.
Telling Jackson doesn't equal telling the rest of the pack.
I think she can trust him.
She is trying to create an army to protect his daughter.
I do not understand the hate.
exactly !!! the fourth one, though :D
ReplyDeleteI don't think he is sincere with Davina at all as of now. She is just a means to an end. I think there is potential in the future if he remains in the witch body. Davina's loyalty could win him over.
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of this show - I love kol/davina! Enjoying the flashbacks from marcel - loved seeing davina smack klaus!

ReplyDeleteSuch an great episode!! I even loved the WW1 Flashbacks and I usually hate stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteThis whole episode made me like Marcel much more. He is a great leader! A MUCH better leader that Klaus could ever be!!
The only thing that was missing was Rebekah. I wanted to get to know more about Freya but I actually like that they make us wait .. it builds up the tension.
On one hand I loved that Klaus forgave Elijah for killing Tatia because I finally see some real change in Klaus. Having Hope really changed him although It's still a long way to redemption. But on the other hand I was annoyed that Klaus was acting like he is the greatest person on the planet for forgiving Elijah. I mean.. It's not like Elijah forgave him like.. I don't know.. a thousand times?!!

ReplyDeleteI can agree I thought Haley was going to come to her senses. I like Haley and everything but she is acting stupid, its like she listens to everything Jackson says. ReplyDeleteDon't get the covert why would you not choose elijah
