Very interesting episode tonight. I feel for Fornell and glad they didn't gloss over Diane's death. and as for Tony and Zoe all I can say is YaY!!! FINALLY!!!! For them I became a shipper (just don't tell anyone)! :)
Im still not convinced Jeanne was a pretend one at some points there. I think Tony knew that too.Of course it was built on a lie so it was never gonna end well, but I think that relationship was victim to different writer syndrome where each one had its own take on what was going on.
I respect your opinion....but what continuity? When was the last time that something "big" was brought up after a longer time?
Bombing of ncis,Gibbs getting blown up and losing his memory, tonys scarred lungs, mcgee getting hurt due to the bombing, duckys heartattack etc is all stuff that was forgotten 3 episodes later...one of the many things ncis does wrong is keeping up with continuity.
As for Zoe...*shrugs* She feels like a 10th place character sadly. Ziva was 1, jeanne and ej 2 and 3....zoe feels just convinient.
Im baised probably as an all time Tiva fan, but i dont really feel any chemistry. Its hard to believe that she could be the one for tony after they used the fans for 7 + years.
If only glasberg would have cared more or if the fans would care more about the failures and mistakes the show made...it has so much potential, yet it is such a mess in all terms.
Sadly ncis main ratings come from the background viewers...those who turn on the show while doing anything else, just so they have something running in the background. The other part is a good kinded and forgiving part that lets glasberg and co do anything they want without voicing their displease.
Tony's feelings about her may have been real, but they could never have an ACTUAL relationship after she found out the truth. And we never found out who killed The Frog (unless I missed something years ago). Rumored to have been Jenny, but never confirmed. Maybe it was Jeanne?
Trent Kort took responsibility for La Grenouille's death, effectively shutting down the FBI investigation. However, it was later strongly implied that Jenny killed Benoit when Gibbs said "Long live the queen". This all happened in the episode "Internal Affairs" (which is my all-time favourite NCIS episode).
In "Judgment Day" Gibbs received the evidence file about the murder from Fornell, but I can't exactly remember what came from that. Sadly, with Jenny's death it has never been further explored.
Hmmm one thing NCIS does not do is just drop things. Yes all those things happened however, it was not like other shows where something horrendous happens in one episode but yet never mentioned again.
Episode itself as a whole was good. But didn't like the Tony and Keats relationship thing. Like the actress, hate the character. For me i felt cheated, lost, bewildered and confused. And let's not forget about just downright depressed! I mean yes I want to see my Tony happy. Just not with..HER. Sorry if I burst on any fans' bubbles here but this is just my opinion.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteand as for Tony and Zoe all I can say is YaY!!! FINALLY!!!! For them I became a shipper (just don't tell anyone)! :)
I love how NCIS always has the best continuity in any show. I really feel for Fornell.
ReplyDeleteI like Zoe. And it's about time Tony finds a real girlfriend. Not just a pretend (Jeanne), or wishful (Ziva) one.

ReplyDeleteIm guessing Gibbs Wedding Invitation got revoked. Not sure wife number 2 wants to run the risk of being the next to die by having Gibbs around :)

Ahh gotcha. Yeah, forgot about Kort (the one-eyed spook). He sort-of muscled in on The Frog's territory after La Grenouille's death.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that info about NCIS viewers? Was this some study that I missed...
