7 of 9 was great as usual! But do the CBS writers all draw from the same idea pool? Tonight was murders recreated from Gibb's past. Last season (or the one before) murders recreated from ppl on Criminal minds past. Not the first time I've seen plot elements or plots reused from one CBS show to another.
I also got that Ari vibe that someone of the team will die, but honestly who could it be? As far as I know, the only ones up for contract renogiation are Mark, Emily and Brian. I can't see Mark leaving, and I don't think Emily or Brian would want to leave either. The rest of the cast (Michael, Pauley, Sean, Rocky and David) have all reportedly signed two-year contracts last year, meaning they will stay on the show till the end of season 13. Unless that information was misreported or one of the contracts is adjusted, I don't think anyone is set to leave at the end of season 12 (and like you, I really really hope nobody is leaving).
That being said, I can't help but notice the absence of Vance in the first half of the season. He has only appeared in three episodes (1, 2 and 4) out of the eleven that have aired. He appears in next week's promo and will be directing an episode, but still I wonder if something is going on with Rocky.
I liked the episode in general, but I sadly live in Germany and got spoilered this morning before I had a chance to watch the ep... So I knew who was gonna die and that basically kinda destroyed the whole thing. I had seen a pic with Diane and I was like: Ohhhh myyy goood, they can´t! Then it reminded me of Kate. When Ducky said the stuff about the murder weapon it was obvious that the murders were inspired by Mike and Jenny... I would have wished to see more of Rebecca, and why the heck did they have to kill Diane off? Couldn´t they have just killed like Stephanie?
GIbbs said "I liked you. I still do." in a flashback while in Autopsy and that meant to me that Diane was closer to his heart than Stephanie was. Remember, Sergei had the details on the murders that cut Gibbs to the bone, so that's why it made more sense to kill Diane that it did to kill Stephanie.
In shock after watching this episode. I really liked episodes with Diane, they always really fun. Anyone else think that at some point they will come after Abby next?
I loved Diane. Especially with Fornell and Gibbs. They were great in scenes together. If this is about Ari, they waited a long time for revenge, is all that I'm saying. Now, I'm still advocating for Susanna Thompson to return as Hollis Mann.
It makes sense to kill Diane off if you intend to hurt Gibbs. Still, it also hurt so many in the fandom! And I just wanted to see more of Rebecca, not see her killed O.o
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I was very surprised to see Hart of Dixie's golfer extraordinaire Don Todd leading off the show tonight.

ReplyDeleteReally great episode, maybe one of the best this season for me. From the preview next episode will be great too.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to wrap my mind about what happened.
ReplyDeleteI just didn't expect that they will kill Gibbs' ex, was so unexpected.
ReplyDeleteWatched since begin. Today but I decided to not watch again, NCIS is dead for me, sorry to write this.
ReplyDeleteI know.
ReplyDeleteI wanted a happy ending for her and Fornell.
ReplyDeleteWTF?? REALLY???
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the hate for this episode? This was a great one!
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode, but why do i think (and i really, really hope i'm wrong) one of the team will end up dead by the end of this season.

I can't believe they actually killed Diane :(
