  1. That camera pen, Howard made was cool, I want one :)

LOL, "Howard Stark is either an ignoramus, or a genius."

Howard, he's quite the ladies man. Aww, sad scene "we're both people nobody cares about", poor Sousa.

Haha, chicken pocket, nifty :) I know so many people who do this at parties lol.

WoW, Agent Thompson, "the natural order of the universe..." hmmm. "No man will ever consider you an equal" (Steve did), Poor Peggy, so cruel :(

At least she "can always go to him for the truth", his truth that is.

Howard has Steve's blood as apart of Project Rebirth. Damn, this scene were Peggy tells Howard she trusted him was heartbreaking. "You don't get to climb the American Ladder without lying", this entire speech was really powerful. "Growing up on the Lower East Side" shaped Howard to be the man he is today.

Damn, that hall monitor, Dottie, she took down that guy and went full on superhero, what great action!

Nice little cameo from Stan Lee :)

  3. Poor Sousa. My heart broke for him.
Jarvis wasn't in this a lot. That makes me sad.
The typewriter typing at the end was cool, I was trying to figure out what it was writing.
In other news, Thompson continues to be a major league asshole.

  4. I can't wait till Agent Carter gets to punch Agent Thompson the same way she did Howard Stark. And it was good to hear Jarvis tell Stark that lying to Peggy stinks. And looking forward to more from Dottie , with those crazy good deadly "hall monitor" skills.

  5. Another great episode of this wonderful show!

LOL at Howard going door to door in Peggy's boarding house and spending time with many of the women there and Peggy acting as his cousin. You can tell she was not happy about that XD And I knew Howard's secret had something to do with Steve! But woah at it being a vile of his blood. I know he just wanted to use it to cure illnesses and potentially save millions of lives but that would also bring him millions of dollars and people might perceive it as deceitful. Poor Peggy being lied to. He is the only man that she told everything to and trusts everything with him and he goes and does this. Amazing acting from Ms. Hayley Atwell. That scene was powerful.

Agent Thompson once again was a real jerk in the episode. "No man will ever consider you an equal" That was harsh :( Peggy doesn't deserve this. Also, barely any Jarvis in this episode so that makes me incredibly heartbroken. Hopefully we'll see more of my favorite butler next week!

Uh oh, Agent Sousa is seriously getting closer and closer to finding out that it was Peggy at the club and on the boat in the last episode. Should be interesting to see how he reacts to this and if he will tell his other co workers the truth or align with Peggy and help her out.

Looks like I was right in being very suspicious of Dottie! Knew there was something more than meets the eye there with her. And holy shit at her going all Black Widow on Mr. Mink's ass there and killing him. That was badass! Now the real questions is, is she a friend or a foe? I wonder what her intentions are.

You just gotta love Stan Lee XD Such a cool cameo. Woohoo! Howling Commandos epic return next week! Seriously can't wait.

  10. DOTTIE NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully she's an ally really really really hope so and that hallway scene was INSANELY AWESOME!!!! the girl killed him in mid-air LOL and damn it Stark what's wrong with you but LOL at him going room to room, Sousa's getting dangerously close to figuring out it was Carter, crap

  11. that's my hope, for sure!

i wouldn't mind at all seeing the perfection of Hayley Atweel in my screen every week for the next years ;)

  12. So Dottie is the another Black Widow right? Yelena Belova? She definitely has the moves and it seems like the Russians are the big bads in the Agent Carter world. That would be epic if she was, and a great way to give us more Red Room background to link up with the back story we are getting for Natasha in Age of Ultron.

Oh Howard you idiot! I love the scenes with him and Peggy though, but it broke my heart when they were fighting.

Loved Sousa talking to the homeless guy about coming home from war, that felt really raw and gave us a sense of his character.

  13. Whoa, nice moves, Dottie! Well, what else can you expect when you cast Bridget Regan, she just has to play a badass character. :D Can't wait to see what makes her tick (or more precisely, kill suspicious strangers outside of Peggy's room).

  14. Awesome episode we have a lot of interesting things from it. First we have a new mystery woman who apparently doesn't care that she kills, second we have another massacre like the one of Skye's birth which bring me to maybe we have a connection and 3rd and maybe most important Peggy is now i don't know on which side. If she stays on SSR desk she would never become the founder of SHIELD, So we wait to see how this plays out as Stark being a traitor and more importantly Peggy now on the offensive with him.

  15. This episode was a little lacking in action but still pretty good. I think Dottie is a villain, after that scene I just can't see her being an ally.

Good plot development in this one. Where the overall narrative is going will be very interesting to see.

    * Dottie obviously is an agent for some organization. duh! Likely a bad guy. I would guess she's a Soviet KGB agent: a predecessor to Black Widow. Since the world is about to enter the Cold War this would make her a bad guy. What is her mission however? She may be involved with the events of Battle of Finnao. (sp?) or she may only be after SSR/Stark secrets like Steve Rogers' blood.

    * Whatever happened at Finnao did not involve the Germans and by extension Hydra. The Russian soldiers were ripped apart and slaughtered by something/someone else. Might this involve the InHumans and how the Germans got their hands on the Diviner in the first place? Recall in AoS in the flashback when Peggy and the Howling Commandos found the first 0-8-4 at the end of the war. How did the Germans get the Diviner? Something powerful killed all of those Russian troops.

  17. I loved how Howard Stark has broken Peggy's trust. I loved how limited a role Jarvis was in this one. I loved the Stan Lee Cameo wanting the sports page at the shoe shine stand.

  18. what a good Ep last night seeing Stan Lee was awesome and Peggy punching Howard for having Cap A blood WOW!

  19. So far there have been no Bad Episodes on this series--which is reason for ABC to renew. For a full 21 episode season.

I was wrong about Dottie...and, does she have the moves or what! If Dottie and Peggy have a throw down, it will be epic. I still believe Angie has much more to her than meets the eye. Will be interesting if Angie, not Peggy, goes one-on-one with Dottie. We know from Nikita that Lyndsy Fonseca can go badass.

Lastly, this episode proves that Agent Carter is the most mature comic-book series on TV: the scenes with Souza and the homeless guy, and Peggy & Howard confronting each other were sad, honest and powerful. Take that, Arrow, AofS, Flash, Gotham!

  20. Good call on the Black Widow connection!

  21. It was the badass move that did it! They train those black widows well.

  22. I don't think the timing fits for it to be Skye's dad, unless he's way older than he looks, but I suppose that isn't implausible in the Marvel universe.

  23. he IS Mr. Hyde in the comics

  24. I think that having a 20+ episode season for this show would be a bad idea. As much as I like for shows to be on for longer periods of time, there are bound to be a few not-so-good (or worse) episodes when there are more of them at once. When there are fewer episodes, the quality of the season overall usually seems to be higher for the shows that do that. I think it would be a good idea for them to have a 13-16 episode season of Agents of Shield in the fall, and, at the most, a 13 episode season of Agent Carter in the spring.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Does that mean he's older than he looks? I've heard about him being Mr. Hyde from the comics, but I'm not familiar with the character.

  26. I hear what you're saying...but it's not always true. This year we had an excellent "24" reboot of 12 episodes...and they had to skip like 8 hrs in the final episode. They could have explored more character, and provided more action and background before abruptly shipping Jack off to Russia.

The Quality of a series is dependent on the Quality of the writers. With good writers, you can get 21, 22 solid episodes. And the Agent Carter writers appear to have the talent...so the Network should let them go for it.
