We got more of whatever elevator woman and her non dead pals are probably up to. Bo looked great. Lauren was funny. Cassie was great. It was creepy, funny, poignant. All fun stuff.
Except for the TamBo scene where they ended up in bed and the writer making Lauren look like a f**king bumbling idiot, I thought it was an ok episode. The thing that bothered me about TamBo was that there was no romance following up to it. They just kinda threw them in bed together. I guess cause it was Bo's bday and they wanted to give her a romp in the hay with someone. It just shouldn't have been Tamsin. At least with Lauren we know Bo has actual romantic feelings for her.
The Tambo scene reeked of fan service & the writers checking off a box they havent yet. I wonder how long this will drag on until the episodes themselves are good. Four stinkers in a row, not looking good
This episode got a couple of laughs out of me. I'm thinking Tamsin is going to die saving Bo this season. I just don't see those two having a happy ending.
VALKUBUS!!! It was about damn time! They had a really lovely talk afterwards (with the heartwrenching music playing in the background too!). Thank you Lost Girl! :D
I loved this episode. The catch of the oracles was anti-climatic and annoying at first, until I realized they didn't have their "sight" and thus were left to rot. The scene between Tamsin and Bo was sexy, yet so sweet after watching them truly devlop together. It's sad that Doccubus fans have to be so mean and aggressive in their attacks. I'm a lesbian, this didn't feel like fan service, it felt meaningful.
It's a shame so many people missed the great comedic moments in this show. This was an awesome episode and the only reason it's being voted as otherwise is because of tunnel vision. I'm a fan of the SHOW Lost Girl. It has an all around incredible cast. Shame on you people for disrespecting that with your pettiness!
Reeked of fan service? You mean if they hadn't included Valkubus, then maybe all of the Valkubus fans would, oh gee, I don't know, ignore every good aspect of the episode, call it awful, and vote against it in any poll they could find PLUS talk about how crappy the show has become all over social media (therefore dissing everyone who worked hard on this show?) hmmm Surely a "fan" would never do such a thing to be serviced in such a way?
It was part of one of the sub plots. Lauren made fun of the cat, so she got bad luck from it but I guess you missed that, it's too bad because Lauren was incredibly funny. Zoie is a brilliant comedic actress.
I have a hard time picturing Bo having a happy ending with anyone at this point, but I still thought the Tamsin/Bo scenes were cute. I really hope Tamsin doesn't get killed off. It's had enough that we don't get to see Kenzi much anymore and Tamsin fits in perfectly with the rest of the cast.
That was a good episode with some very funny moments between Tamsin/Bo and Tamsin/Lauren scenes.. Poor Dyson...I wonder how many episodes it will take for his son to evolve into a less annoying character.
Awesome episode! I loved it. Please don't hate the episode just because of Valkubus moments. I don't hate episodes with Doccubus moments, even though I don't want them together... The whole cat thing was hilarious, especially the way Bo "sipped" her drink :-D
Like the epsiode though the TamBo sex was a bit sudden. I was starting to like what they have been doing with Dyson, but he could tune down the honor duty side a notch. They have not shown this side of him in a long time (except the pledge to Bo)m but I am enjoying the son. With him as a Lost Boy they are reconecting with S1. Generally I like the writing of this season very much, everything that is wrong with it is because of the missing continuity LG has had so far. Tamsin definitly had a cruch on Bo but then suddenly they dropped it and now it is there again, thats why it felt sudden for me.
Lauren stan's salty tears are honestly the most entertaining thing ever. Anyone expecting any endgame on this show is like demanding something you were never promised in the first place. Bo is more likeable now than last season, and the show with the cases of the week it feels like a mix of season 1/3 again. Loving the humour too. Kenzi's absence is the problem right now.
I know right?! What type of fandom would possibly need to be babied in such a way to prevent such a major meltdown? Valkubus shippers have waited 2 long years for this, even with only tiny little hints here and there. Let's face it there's only one set of wishy washy fans that need "fanservice" and it ain't Valkubus. This whole season has been amazing and funny even without the sweetness that the Valkubus storyline has added to it..
TamBo fans are not immune to lashing out at the show. They've done so in the past on the Showcase blog when Doccubus were together. They called Lauren very harsh and cruel words even praying that they kill her off. And yes, calling out the show runners and labeling LG as crappy tv.
I know. I'me really surprised to see how well they play off one another. I'm really loving Lauren and Dyson's friendship now that they aren't constantly competing with each other. However, unlike Lauren v. Dyson, the rivalry between Tamsin and Lauren is actually hilarious to watch. I hope the writers can keep it light.
Tambo stuff came across as "Thrown in", you say? So, I am guessing you didn't catch any of the cues from Tamsin for the past 2 seasons that MAYBE she had a thing for Bo? This has been a LONG time coming, sorry it blindsided you. Zoie Palmer is the actress who reads the lines that the writer writes and I was roaring at her performance. She was genius, playing the subplot of the doubter and the bearer of bad luck. I applaud her! All of the characters spend some time looking like bafoons. The comedy is one of the many reasons I love this show. It does NOT take its self too seriously. Lauren got a few digs on Tamsin this episode as well. You can call it what you want, hide behind your right to your opinion (which is your right as much as mine) but a couple of minutes on social media will show you a clear picture of how little faith a certain fandom seems to have in a pivitol member. Lauren or Zoie Palmer who again is brilliant at the dead pan. She apparently does not appeal to them as an individual character, but only if she is attached to Bo. That's rather fickle if you ask me. Her character is much stronger this season, because she isn't attached to Bo or pining over her.
The poster you are replying to specifically said there was no indication on Bo's part that she had romantic feelings for Tamsin. Not that Tamsin didn't have those feelings for Bo. I would have to agree with them. Howveer, I do agree with you that people should not discount Lauren simply because doccubus is not happening right now and Lauren has had a separate story from Bo. I've really enjoyed seeing Lauren's humor come out and I've also enjoyed watching her work really well with everyone on the team.
How funny that you felt the need to defend Doccubus fans, when I did not in fact refer to them. That's pretty telling in itself.( I don't condone nor participate in using cruel or harsh words, especially towards an actor who is doing their job. )
But they didn't. They just said valkubus fans are not immune from being over zealous. Which is very true. They only used doccubus as an example. It's also obvious from the converstaions being had that doccubus fans are the ones being singled out. So it's not unreasonable for a doccubus fan to defend the group if that's what they are doing.
Oh but you see, there have been quite a few moments when Bo showed interest in Tamsin. Some people have just chosen to ignore them. There;s quite a few gif sets out there if you want to look that up.
I agree in s3 there were moments. There was only 4x08 in s4 and that was Bo more having fun with the situation imo. I just didn't see it there really, and I wasn't ignoring it, I just didn't get that vibe. Obviously you did and others as well which is cool. I was simply stating I agree with the other poster in that I didn't see it either.
I replied in such a way that I did not call any one out but those who are guilty of doing such a thing. If it was "obvious" to you and you felt the need to defend, then it would stand to reason that it applies to people who think as you do, Perspective is quite important.
It's also quite obvious you really feel the need to expound on this non-issue when it seems neither one of us referred to Doccubus fans. LOL! From your constant denial, I can then assume you were NOT referring to Doccubus fans. My mistake. I guess it's then only TamBo fans that "ignore every good aspect of the episode, call it awful, and vote against it in any poll they could find PLUS talk about how crappy the show has become all over social media." Glad you cleared that up. Thank you. ;)
"Refer" and "defend" have two different meanings, do they not? "I did not in fact refer" to doccubus fans in my original comments, nor call out any one in particular. You DID defend them by supplying a counter argument to what you assumed, that "Tambo" fans are guilty of bashing doccubus, .
To be honest, I don't think it was fan service. It was a little quick imo regarding Bo's sudden feelings, but as earlier discussion shows that's up to interpretation. It will be interesting to see how things play out.
:) I havent denied anything, Perspective is everything. You will see what you want to see. To say an episode is "awful" means it had absolutely no merit, I would wonder why anyone would be watching a show they felt warranted a rating of awful, and feel so inclined to go to a poll and vote that it was awful. Contrast that with the fact that there are almost as many who voted the opposite. Including the comments I have seen going to the writers, stars, and the network, there is strong evidence that the voting was done in a spiteful way. BUT mind you, there are die hard Dybo, Copdoc and Dyson-Tamsin fans as well. but you didn;t really mention those did you? You only assumed. So, you are welcome for the education. ;)
I agree wholeheartedly. I adore this show as a whole. Using that zeal to make a show that we obviously care for to look bad to people who may not have watched it before is rather reproachful.
Amazing episode! I'm really loving this season so far! After the mess that was S4, S5 is being a great improvement. I'm loving having tons of Tamsin scenes (she is great!!), and i love her scenes with Bo. Plus, Tamsin/Lauren are having amazing scenes as well. Great and funny dynamic. Claps and claps for all the Valkubus tonight. The conversation that Tamsin and Bo had after the sex was just everything!!
Whoa. You jumped to too many assumptions, my friend. LOL... I know it's difficult to argue with my awesome logic (tongue in cheek), but please, there is no need to be condescending. I'm sure we can both agree that all factions of this fandom are not immune to lashing out at the show (which is exactly what I wrote in my original post) or over zealousness which you have aptly demonstrated ;) lol. So, yes, I humbly thank you for that education. Peace to you.
I'm really liking this new direction for Dyson. He has a chance to be that strong dude again, cuz he was totally neutered in the last season. The pup will totally give him something else to focus on rather than Booo (in that weird whispery voice he does). The writing is a lot funnier this season to. I don't really care who ends up with who but trust me when I say, I got slapped on the arm to pay attention everytime Bo breathed after Tamsin did something, so I can say definitely the signs were there that Bo felt something to even if she didnt know what it was.
I miss Kenzie something fierce, LG is just a big fat NO without her. Everyone is bickering back & forth over Doccubus/Valkubus/Dybo when honestly the relationship I long for the most is Dyson & Kenzie's friendship :(
I didn't start watching this show by my own choice but it has totally grown on me the past few years. The only drawback of this season so far has been no Kenzi but honestly she was getting a little too emo last season and then she just left Bo after she totally went to hell for her! so in her absence the comedy and those awesome one liners are still there and being delivered perfectly by Lauren and Tamsin. I liked this episode because it was just silly with some steps forward to the impending doom. There is enough dramatic overtones of Bo being born in hell and her pops being the devil basically so its nice to just sit back and laugh now cuz I now the guana is going to hit the fan soon enough. It is nice to just see the characters stretch their legs. Lauren is more of an independent (hilarious) force, Dyson is dealing with his jerk son, Bo is dealing w her own internal stuff and now somebody who can understand it a little, Tamsin, AND trust her is there to help her. Plus Tamsin is finally starting to get back to her badass days. its going to all make them a stronger group when Pops or those dead people from the elevator come back. Two thumbs up for this show.
agree that Bo felt something. And they always played on Bo's and Tamsin sexual tension. But I have not seen much of that directly before the episode, except feeding. Not sure if Bo feels romantically towards Tamsin though. But I have been enjoying their relationship this season. They are doing the same with Dyson and Laurel, giving them more than just beein there for Bo. That was long overdue and makes these characters and the story interesting again.
I hope not :-( Then I'll forever remember Lost Girl with sadness. But it is hard to imagine a happy ending for the two of them. I'm somewhat expecting the writers to leave ut with an open ending when it comes to Bo's love life.
For you it's tunnel vision but some people are not taking anything they are thrown at and then still call it good because it still has the name "Lost Girl" on it. When it was smart, funny and had whitty one liners it was that show that everyone loved. Now it is considered good and "funny" when Bo turns into a cat and Lauren acts like dumb and dumbers sister. Standards have really fallen a very low level. People are voting it down because they miss the old show. Now we are wasting a good part on the show on the wolf puppies bullshit instead of giving him and Dyson a real storyline. What you call "pettiness" are actually valid points. I'm glad you still like the show but your points arenot more valid than others.
Tamsin may have been shown in the last 2 seasons that she has romantic feelings for Bo, but Bo has never once shown the least bit of romantic interest in Tamsin. Tamsin is the one who constantly throws herself at Bo. Bo is a succubus, of course she's going to sleep with someone if given the chance. Tamsin used be awesome til she started pining after Bo. As for Lauren, she has not been pining for Bo. She asked Bo for a break in S3 and left at the end of that season. Bo tried to get her to come home with her at the end of episode 405, but she chose to stay and work for the Dark. In episode 503 Lauren chose to just be friends with Bo because she knew that's what Bo needed for now. Tamsin is being played as pathetic and needy because of her feelings for Bo. The only way I'll ever believe that TamBo is a real romantic relationship is when Bo tells Tamsin that she loves her. Which by the way, Lauren is the only one Bo has actually ever said "I love you" to. When she says it to Dyson, she's usually saying it to Lauren at the same time. I love Doccubus, but I'm glad that they've given her a storyline that doesn't involve her feelings for Bo. I just feel like they tried to make Lauren look like a damn buffoon. I especially didn't like the way Tamsin acts like she owns Bo and is "marking" her territory.
After watching this again I have a feeling Lost Girl is going to recycle the "Lauren doesnt love me" & "Bo doesnt want me around" storyline of S4. If it does get recycled will anybody except people who hate Lauren buy this? Also the comedic stuff is way funnier the second time through.
There have never been any moments where Bo has shown interest in Tamsin except as friends. In episode 311 when Tamsin climbed in the tub with her, she looked at her like she was crazy. I guess people see what they want to see, because I have never seen Bo show a romantic interest in Tamsin. The only reason they hooked up in ep408 was because the day kept repeating itself and Bo figured what the hell might as well have some fun.
To be honest, I have seen both DyBo & TamBo fans wish Lauren dead, but there also some Doccubus fans who are not innocent of hating on DyBo & TamBo fans, but I myself have never seen any of them wish for a character to die. There are members of each "ship" that have said hateful things about the other "ships".
To me it felt like Bo just slept with Tamsin because she offered herself to her for her birthday. I have never seen Bo look at Tamsin in a romantic way.
Bo might have felt something but I don't see it as romantic feelings. What her & Lauren and her & Dyson have/had is what I would call romantic. Bo's feelings for Tamsin to me just seem like feelings of friendship, with a little side of sex/feeding!
Yes, I agree about the comedic moments, especially the one with the big red bow. Wait, wait when you unwrap it...you get 50 shades of gray....Framing hilarious!!!
Wow, a house divided! The scores & the comments say it all. I'm a Doccubus fan but I truly enjoyed the last episode. Lauren & Tamsin are a riot. They stole the show for me. & Why didn't they develop Lauren's character like this sooner? Zoie freaking Palmer is a crack up! Yeah, I'm getting a little anxious for BoLo, its our last season & I hope it finishes off right. BUT, TamBo heated up the screen last night & that's okay with me:)! Nice job Rachel & Anna.
Never say never, especially when you probably chose not to see them, that doesn't mean they aren't there. While you thought Bo looked at Tamsin like she was crazy in the tub, some say that when Bo hitched her breath that, that said something. It would be ridiculous to expect to change your mind. I simply suggest you change your perspective. You certainly won't see anything if you don't expect to see it. Reviews outside of fandom have been extremely favorable of this season. Maybe you could sit back and try to enjoy things as a whole and you may see something different than you saw before.
Another fail. Seriously it's the last season and they wasting time on new characters and pointless story of the week episodes. Come on stop dragging things out and servicing fandoms with cheesy fanservice. They have such rich world and mythology to explore and we get dorky Lauren, and lovestruck Tamsin. Where is the show from season 1 and 2 ????!?!?!!?
I see what's there in front of me and I've never seen Bo look at Tamsin as anything but a friend. As I've said before, to me, the way Bo looks at Tamsin in the tub it's like she's saying "what the f**k are you doing". There are people who don't see the so very obvious chemistry between Bo & Lauren, but I'm not going to try to tell them they should see it if they don't. Everyone has their own perspective and they have a right to their interpretation of what they see.
This post is about this particular episode not the show in it's entirety. Just because someone who watched it found that it was awful, doesn't mean they think the show itself is awful. Not every episode is going to get raved reviews. There have been episodes that I have loved and episodes that I've hated or somewhere in between.
It's funny that you have to pick on a "certain fandom" to make a point.....it's not like the TamBo fandom hasn't complained about other "ships" being pandered to. There are members of every "ship" that have a problem with the showrunners pandering to a certain fandom. TamBo fans might want to enjoy it while they can, because we never know from one episode to the next what will happen to that "ship". TamBo might be around at the moment, but it may or may not last.
Terrible! Tamsin is much more interesting character as an independent self standing know-it-all with a well-hidden soft side. Romance is just not her thing- and the character deserves better than just being one more in line to Bo's bed. They're too similar! Regarding Bo's love life, the triangle is great and well balanced as it is with smart weak human and loyal strong wolf. Let's build on that instead of trying new shapes!
As I have already explained. I did not call any one out. If you felt that I did? Well that is pretty much your perception of what you represent, now isn't it?
Honestly, you have no idea why people voted awful. Not everyone has to like an episode just because you did. People watch the show for different reasons. I myself watch mostly because I'm a huge fan of Zoie Palmer and love her as Lauren.
How do you know people hated the show because of the TamBo moments? Like I said in another comment, not everyone has to like the episode just because you did.
Do you really love her as Lauren? Because I love her too and think she is killing it with her physical comedy skills. I'm actually happy to see her in situations that don't revolve around Bo. As for why people are voting "awful"? Read the comments and it's not too hard to figure out. Read Twitter or better yet, read the comments left for people who have never watched the show to see. But, like I always say. Perspective is everything. I enjoy the SHOW for all of its many parts. Some people, myself included, can change theirs when change occurs. (I didn't actually use to like Lauren's character and I readily admit that ZP's fine acting changed my mind) . Some people can't. It is what it is.
Now it is considered funny because it IS funny. Physical comedy has always been funny and will always be. The tunnel vision I suggest is that when a character one likes doesn't have the storyline one prefers they tend to miss everything else that is going on because their vision is negative. (And don't for a second ASsUME I mean doccubus my comment goes for all one sighted people) By your comments alone, I would assume (perhaps incorrectly but I doubt it) that you are one of those. The difference is I am not the writer, I watch the show to see what OTHERS create. But, that's just me. But, I can tell you this most assuredly if I don't like a way an already rerecorded FINAL season of show goes , (that I have adored since the beginning) I will NOT make ithe effort to call it "awful". If I ever thought any of this show was AWFUL I wouldn't have been watching it the first place.
Have you read the L Chat? Lol absolutely no Doccubus shipper there has certainly wished death upon Dyson and Tamsin. Nope, not at all. I have seen it on twitter too people want characters dead all over the place be it Lauren, Tamsin or Dyson. Hell, Rainer, Mark even Crystal but okay.
I guess we're not reading the same stuff, cause honestly, I have never seen any Doccubus fans wishing Dyson or Tamsin or anyone else dead. I have however seen alot of hate for the characters, but it's no different than the fans of other characters hating on Lauren. The point I'm trying to make is that it's not just one particular fandom...it's all of them.
Loved this episode. So happy the writers are doing such a great job this year! They are writing a show that lets the cast show off all their acting talents. I have a feeling the actors are as happy about this as we are :) Maybe if this had happened sooner this wouldn't be their last season.
I have since rewatched the episode. The Lauren scenes were funny and Zoie was amazing, but it still felt a little to me like they were trying to make Lauren look like an idiot. You know, it's pretty interesting that they chose to use Bo/Lauren for the good luck/bad luck part. Could it possibly be a sign?
Just because you've read comments from people on other sites about not liking the TamBo scene doesn't mean it's the same people who voted awful here. You're making an assumption without any real proof. After all, I'm pretty sure there are way more than 307 fans who watch the show.
Maybe some people don't see it because for them it doesn't exist. Everyone sees things differently. The people that don't see it shouldn't be forced into seeing something just because other people do see it.
It makes sense that Lauren would be the one to doubt that a stuffed cat could bring luck (because of her scientific mind), so choosing Lauren to be the recipient of bad luck just made sense, logically. I don't doubt for a second that it was wildly entertaining for Zoie to do those scenes because again, I think she has incredible physical comedy skills and impeccable timing. and if you are still feeling Lauren was being picked on for this one episode, I will remind you that Tamsin found herself in highly ridiculous situations a good bit of season 4. (She was a teenager who twerked and did dance offs, among other things)
Some people might dislike the episode for other reasons, but we all know that a lot of Doccubus shippers will vote aweful whenever an episode focuses on Bo and her other love interests. Or if there's not enough Lauren in an episode. There's no denying that. And I know this from comments and discussions on this and other sites.
Like I said before, people have a right to like/dislike an episode for whatever reasons. You have no proof that the people who voted this episode awful are the same people whose comments you've read on here and other sites. There are plenty of people who watch the show for the plot or who are DyBo fans that could have voted awful. You're assuming that it's the Doccubus/Lauren fans who voted that way based on comments you've read. Go on believing what you want, but you have no way of proving that it was a certain fandom that voted awful.
wow woman... I've never said people can't dislike an episode, nor do I need proof to have an opinion. I have deductive reasoning. Do you have proof no fandoms voted "awful" because they disagreed with the pairing? And what you're saying: I'm wrong for suggesting a fan of Lauren would ever vote awful just because they didn't like a pairing in an episode. And it's wrong of me to suggest something like that could ever happen. But you yourself point the finger at Dybo fans, and that's okey? A bit hypocritical. I did indeed mention Doccubus as an example, and that's probably because I've seen A LOT of aggressive and mean comments from that spesific fandom whenever they disagree with the plot. Not saying all of them do or that other shippers haven't done the same. But it still leaves an impression. I thought this episode had a lot of funny and great elements. And I don't doubt for a second that there were hardcore shippers who chose to forget about what they liked in this episode and voted awful just because the didn't like Bo and Tamsin hooking up. We all love this show, so why don't appreciate it while it's on air (no matter what pairing prevails)? You can believe whatever you will, and I will do the same.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
We got more of whatever elevator woman and her non dead pals are probably up to. Bo looked great. Lauren was funny. Cassie was great. It was creepy, funny, poignant. All fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the TamBo scene where they ended up in bed and the writer making Lauren look like a f**king bumbling idiot, I thought it was an ok episode. The thing that bothered me about TamBo was that there was no romance following up to it. They just kinda threw them in bed together. ReplyDeleteVALKUBUS!!! It was about damn time! They had a really lovely talk afterwards (with the heartwrenching music playing in the background too!).
ReplyDeleteThank you Lost Girl! :D
I'm afraid something like that might happen too. :(

ReplyDeleteSorry but I care about the main protagonist and Bo has been written like a moron from Episode 3 on.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame so many people missed the great comedic moments in this show. This was an awesome episode and the only reason it's being voted as otherwise is because of tunnel vision. I'm a fan of the SHOW Lost Girl. It has an all around incredible cast. Shame on you people for disrespecting that with your pettiness!
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!! I wish it wasn't the last season :( but I guess everything comes to an end.
ReplyDeleteReeked of fan service? You mean if they hadn't included Valkubus, then maybe all of the Valkubus fans would, oh gee, I don't know, ignore every good aspect of the episode, call it awful, and vote against it in any poll they could find PLUS talk about how crappy the show has become all over social media (therefore dissing everyone who worked hard on this show?) hmmm Surely a "fan" would never do such a thing to be serviced in such a way?
ReplyDeleteIt was part of one of the sub plots. Lauren made fun of the cat, so she got bad luck from it but I guess you missed that, it's too bad because Lauren was incredibly funny. Zoie is a brilliant comedic actress.
ReplyDeleteThis is suppose to be the final season and so far I am not impressed with this season not at all.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time picturing Bo having a happy ending with anyone at this point, but I still thought the Tamsin/Bo scenes were cute. I really hope Tamsin doesn't get killed off. It's had enough that we don't get to see Kenzi much anymore and Tamsin fits in perfectly with the rest of the cast.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! It had a bit of everything, the only thing missing is Kenzi so hope to see her back soon :)...can't wait for next week!
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode, i think this dog that the guy was talking about was Cerberus.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode!!! Guys enjoy this last season, this show is great, great actors!
ReplyDeleteFaentastic episode! I loved pretty much every second of it. :D
ReplyDeleteThat was a good episode with some very funny moments between Tamsin/Bo and Tamsin/Lauren scenes.. Poor Dyson...I wonder how many episodes it will take for his son to evolve into a less annoying character.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode! I loved it. Please don't hate the episode just because of Valkubus moments.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate episodes with Doccubus moments, even though I don't want them together... The whole cat thing was hilarious, especially the way Bo "sipped" her drink :-D
Like the epsiode though the TamBo sex was a bit sudden.
ReplyDeleteI was starting to like what they have been doing with Dyson, but he could tune down the honor duty side a notch. They have not shown this side of him in a long time (except the pledge to Bo)m but I am enjoying the son. With him as a Lost Boy they are reconecting with S1.

I'm with you - one of my faevorites. Perfect LG balance of humor and horror.
ReplyDeleteLauren stan's salty tears are honestly the most entertaining thing ever. Anyone expecting any endgame on this show is like demanding something you were never promised in the first place. Bo is more likeable now than last season, and the show with the cases of the week it feels like a mix of season 1/3 again. Loving the humour too. Kenzi's absence is the problem right now.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was hilarious and Zoie is a pro at pulling off those comedic beats. :D
ReplyDeleteI know right?!
ReplyDeleteTamsin and Lauren play off of one another so well!
ReplyDeleteTamBo fans are not immune to lashing out at the show. They've done so in the past on the Showcase blog when Doccubus were together. They called Lauren very harsh and cruel words even praying that they kill her off. And yes, calling out the show runners and labeling LG as crappy tv.
ReplyDeleteI know.
ReplyDeleteTambo stuff came across as "Thrown in", you say? So, I am guessing you didn't catch any of the cues from Tamsin for the past 2 seasons that MAYBE she had a thing for Bo? This has been a LONG time coming, sorry it blindsided you.
ReplyDeleteZoie Palmer is the actress who reads the lines that the writer writes and I was roaring at her performance.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that you felt the need to defend Doccubus fans, when I did not in fact refer to them. That's pretty telling in itself.( I don't condone nor participate in using cruel or harsh words, especially towards an actor who is doing their job. )
ReplyDeleteBut they didn't. They just said valkubus fans are not immune from being over zealous. Which is very true. They only used doccubus as an example. It's also obvious from the converstaions being had that doccubus fans are the ones being singled out. So it's not unreasonable for a doccubus fan to defend the group if that's what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty obvious who you were referring to. I'm merely clarifying that no fandom is immune to dishing out harsh criticism.
ReplyDeleteOh but you see, there have been quite a few moments when Bo showed interest in Tamsin. Some people have just chosen to ignore them. There;s quite a few gif sets out there if you want to look that up.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amy. Unless one felt defensive from what she said, there was in fact no reason to defend.
ReplyDeleteI agree in s3 there were moments.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much what I meant too. You said it more succinctly. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Ok. Glad you cleared up such a pressing issue. LOL :))
ReplyDeleteI replied in such a way that I did not call any one out but those who are guilty of doing such a thing. If it was "obvious" to you and you felt the need to defend, then it would stand to reason that it applies to people who think as you do, Perspective is quite important.
ReplyDeleteNor did I refer to Doccubus fans. :))
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, we can all agree every side of the fandom has the over zealous fans who go too far. Whether it be doccubus, valkubus, or dybo.
ReplyDeleteIt's also quite obvious you really feel the need to expound on this non-issue when it seems neither one of us referred to Doccubus fans. Thank you. ;)
ReplyDelete"Refer" and "defend" have two different meanings, do they not? "I did not in fact refer" to doccubus fans in my original comments, nor call out any one in particular. You DID defend them by supplying a counter argument to what you assumed, that "Tambo" fans are guilty of bashing doccubus, .
ReplyDeleteYes. Well, that was the point of my initial post. I guess some feel the need to demonstrate said zealousness. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL... Ok. Try this on. How can I "defend" someone when I "referred" no one? Think about it.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't think it was fan service. It was a little quick imo regarding Bo's sudden feelings, but as earlier discussion shows that's up to interpretation. It will be interesting to see how things play out.
ReplyDelete:) I havent denied anything, Perspective is everything. So, you are welcome for the education. ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly. I adore this show as a whole. Using that zeal to make a show that we obviously care for to look bad to people who may not have watched it before is rather reproachful.
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode!
ReplyDeleteWhoa.
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking this new direction for Dyson.
ReplyDeleteI miss Kenzie something fierce, LG is just a big fat NO without her. Everyone is bickering back & forth over Doccubus/Valkubus/Dybo when honestly the relationship I long for the most is Dyson & Kenzie's friendship :(
ReplyDeleteI didn't start watching this show by my own choice but it has totally grown on me the past few years.
ReplyDeleteagree that Bo felt something.
ReplyDeleteI hope not :-( Then I'll forever remember Lost Girl with sadness. But it is hard to imagine a happy ending for the two of them. I'm somewhat expecting the writers to leave ut with an open ending when it comes to Bo's love life.
ReplyDeleteFor you it's tunnel vision but some people are not taking anything they are thrown at and then still call it good because it still has the name "Lost Girl" on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat you call "pettiness" are actually valid points.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching this again I have a feeling Lost Girl is going to recycle the "Lauren doesnt love me" & "Bo doesnt want me around" storyline of S4. If it does get recycled will anybody except people who hate Lauren buy this? Also the comedic stuff is way funnier the second time through.
ReplyDeleteThere have never been any moments where Bo has shown interest in Tamsin except as friends.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I have seen both DyBo & TamBo fans wish Lauren dead, but there also some Doccubus fans who are not innocent of hating on DyBo & TamBo fans, but I myself have never seen any of them wish for a character to die. There are members of each "ship" that have said hateful things about the other "ships".
ReplyDeleteTo me it felt like Bo just slept with Tamsin because she offered herself to her for her birthday. I have never seen Bo look at Tamsin in a romantic way.
ReplyDeleteBo might have felt something but I don't see it as romantic feelings. What her & Lauren and her & Dyson have/had is what I would call romantic. Bo's feelings for Tamsin to me just seem like feelings of friendship, with a little side of sex/feeding!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree about the comedic moments, especially the one with the big red bow. Wait, wait when you unwrap it...you get 50 shades of gray....Framing hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome really? Poor writing so far!!
ReplyDeleteWow, a house divided!
ReplyDeleteNever say never, especially when you probably chose not to see them, that doesn't mean they aren't there.
ReplyDeleteAnother fail.
ReplyDeleteI see what's there in front of me and I've never seen Bo look at Tamsin as anything but a friend.
ReplyDeleteThis post is about this particular episode not the show in it's entirety. Just because someone who watched it found that it was awful, doesn't mean they think the show itself is awful. Not every episode is going to get raved reviews. There have been episodes that I have loved and episodes that I've hated or somewhere in between.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that you have to pick on a "certain fandom" to make a point.....it's not like the TamBo fandom hasn't complained about other "ships" being pandered to. There are members of every "ship" that have a problem with the showrunners pandering to a certain fandom. TamBo fans might want to enjoy it while they can, because we never know from one episode to the next what will happen to that "ship". TamBo might be around at the moment, but it may or may not last.
ReplyDeleteTerrible!
ReplyDeleteTamsin is much more interesting character as an independent self standing know-it-all with a well-hidden soft side. Romance is just not her thing- and the character deserves better than just being one more in line to Bo's bed.
They're too similar!
Regarding Bo's love life, the triangle is great and well balanced as it is with smart weak human and loyal strong wolf. Let's build on that instead of trying new shapes!
Thank you for pretty much reiterating what I said.
ReplyDeleteAww aren't you cute! Bless your little heart!
ReplyDeleteAs I have already explained. I did not call any one out. If you felt that I did? Well that is pretty much your perception of what you represent, now isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, you have no idea why people voted awful. Not everyone has to like an episode just because you did. People watch the show for different reasons. I myself watch mostly because I'm a huge fan of Zoie Palmer and love her as Lauren.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know people hated the show because of the TamBo moments? Like I said in another comment, not everyone has to like the episode just because you did.
ReplyDeleteDo you really love her as Lauren? Because I love her too and think she is killing it with her physical comedy skills. I'm actually happy to see her in situations that don't revolve around Bo.
ReplyDeleteAs for why people are voting "awful"?
ReplyDeleteWell said! I have thouroghly enjoyed the incredible dynamic between Tamsin and Lauren! They are a riot!
ReplyDeleteOh my, looks like another ship war. I don't care who Bo sleeps with, but does she really need to have new partner every week?
ReplyDeleteHave you read the L Chat? Lol absolutely no Doccubus shipper there has certainly wished death upon Dyson and Tamsin. Nope, not at all. I have seen it on twitter too people want characters dead all over the place be it Lauren, Tamsin or Dyson. Hell, Rainer, Mark even Crystal but okay.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say you called anyone out. I was just saying that it's not just one ship, it's all of them.
ReplyDeleteI guess we're not reading the same stuff, cause honestly, I have never seen any Doccubus fans wishing Dyson or Tamsin or anyone else dead. I have however seen alot of hate for the characters, but it's no different than the fans of other characters hating on Lauren. The point I'm trying to make is that it's not just one particular fandom...it's all of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree. It is all.
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode. So happy the writers are doing such a great job this year! They are writing a show that lets the cast show off all their acting talents. I have a feeling the actors are as happy about this as we are :) Maybe if this had happened sooner this wouldn't be their last season.
ReplyDeleteI have since rewatched the episode. The Lauren scenes were funny and Zoie was amazing, but it still felt a little to me like they were trying to make Lauren look like an idiot. You know, it's pretty interesting that they chose to use Bo/Lauren for the good luck/bad luck part. Could it possibly be a sign?
ReplyDeleteJust because you've read comments from people on other sites about not liking the TamBo scene doesn't mean it's the same people who voted awful here. You're making an assumption without any real proof. After all, I'm pretty sure there are way more than 307 fans who watch the show.
ReplyDeleteMaybe some people don't see it because for them it doesn't exist. Everyone sees things differently. The people that don't see it shouldn't be forced into seeing something just because other people do see it.
ReplyDeleteOk. Sure.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense that Lauren would be the one to doubt that a stuffed cat could bring luck (because of her scientific mind), so choosing Lauren to be the recipient of bad luck just made sense, logically.
ReplyDeleteSome people might dislike the episode for other reasons, but we all know that a lot of Doccubus shippers will vote aweful whenever an episode focuses on Bo and her other love interests. Or if there's not enough Lauren in an episode. There's no denying that. And I know this from comments and discussions on this and other sites.
ReplyDeleteLike I said before, people have a right to like/dislike an episode for whatever reasons.
ReplyDeletewow woman...
ReplyDelete
