l liked this episode a lot, i was expecting a final showdown between nick and the grand master but seen how monroe and rosalee kill the grandmaster was way better.
Wu is amazing! I love him being in the gang he is so bad ass. Loved the gang as a whole going all rogue this time and saying screw the law we're going to get these guys who took Monroe. Didn't feel bad for any of those guys who got killed and beat up. They deserved it if it wasn't Monroe they would have gone after more Wesen who dared defy their idea of purity. Glad the couple got their honeymoon after all this scary stuff even if it did invovle Nick and Hank coming along incognito.
And is it wrong that I am liking hexenbeast Juliette? Because that move she pulled on that guy was great. I find her a lot more interesting now and I kind of hope she stays one for a while even though I can only imagine it's pretty scary for her.
Now that word is out Nick is a grimm again though I worry and this group of guys will be going to jail I worry Nick will be a huge target again soon as if he isn't enough. The cult will spread the word and I think Nick is definitely back on the radar.
Awful. Just, awful. Slow, plodding and just drawn out in all of the wrong places. The rescue was inevitable but even that was just; meh. This could have show cased just how powerful Nick is with him taking on so many foes at once but instead they chose to bring the whole Scooby gang to with everyone going all over the place. All of this build up and then...pfft.
Man oh man. That scene when the crew was walking together down the hall while Renard put his on jacket gave me flashbacks to Angel and the same shot of him and his crew as he was putting on his leather jacket. Fan moment right there, gave me tears. Best episode of Grimm so far. Great to see Wu with a bigger role and Juliet is bad ass, no longer dislike her.
Simply,, Awesome the whole Grimm gang badass, the long awaited Wu being in the know so worth it he already was a good cop now. He's a badass Wesen slayer, and with him snacking as he was studying priceless, Monroe's toast with him tearing up, damn made me tear up, I was proud of Bud as well he wasn't so scary when he needed to be tuff, and Juliette she's a hellava Hexenbeast, I loved the entire episode, I can't forget Renard he was awesome as always!! Looking forward to Juliette taking out that witch that's on her way back to Portland!!!
Loved this ep.... loved Monroe and then Bud standing up to the crooked tribunal, and the throwdown with Team Grimm now improved with a little Wu, and Monroe and Rosalee's brutal judgement on the not so grandmaster....I'm really enjoying the arc of Juliette's transformation into a hexenbiest and how she took down that tribunal member.... curious to see how this is going to go....
WHY JULIETTE WHY GO TO RENARD INSTEAD OF NICK?!!!!!! amazing episode, i wished all of the wesenrien to have died but i guess it fine, i loved that badass walk in the precinct, i'm so glad that Monroe and Rosaee are okay and going on their honeymoon
Was anyone else scared by Wu's solitary study scene? Have have been worried since Nick told Wu what was up that Wu was going to lean toward the genocidal approach to dealing with Wesen. Though when I saw the french fries my first though was Nick's gonna be annoyed if he gets any grease on those antique books. :-) My second thought was....what is Wu really thinking.
Juliette kicked ass. Loved that they gave her a kevlar vest.
Rosalee was good to her word. Not that i doubted it. Do not mess with Rosalee's man!
Bud was freaking AWESOME!!!
This was an awesome episode. A really satisfying ending to this story. How mean were Nick and Hank in the limo. LOL
I don't think it's wrong at all. I've liked Juliette since she found out. But still wasn't expecting them to go to the rescue. She rocked! I understand why she'd want to talk to Renard his mother cooked up the spell. So he's an obvious source of information.
I'm not really worried about Nick. They rounded up everyone that was at the tribunal (when they first did the pan through the woods, at the end, my first thought was that someone got away. But then we see that it's Wu.) so I don't think it's going to be any worse than before. Nick's been putting Wesen in prison for a while now.
I was more surprised at Rosalee's presence. (she'd been so emotional) But not Juliette. They made it clear it wasn't a police operation and Nick is fully aware of how good a shot Juliette is. (She even saved his life once.) Though I think Nick was smart enough to realize neither woman was going to be left behind.
When she was getting up off the ground after blowing that guys' skull apart you could see the velcro strapping. One of the first things I liked about this show was that even in the midst of hiding being a Grimm from Hank he would call for back up before walking into a dangerous situation. He followed procedure and was smart. I loved that they did the smart thing by getting her a vest too.
I'm thinking now that Juliette is a Hex-Beast and with Renard in the know, that they may gravitate back to each other (if you know what I mean) and then there could be a sort of messed up love square with A the HexnBitch, Renard, Juliette, and Nick. But only for a little while because A will die and Renard and Juliette will stay together (since this would be the second or third time they would have been drawn to each other) and Nick can ether be bachelor for a while or find someone new (personally I vote be a lone for a while and concentrate on honing and growing those wonderful Grimm skills/powers of his).
awesome ep! the rescue was terrific, everyone doing their part and taking the racist group down to pieces (on some cases literally) but my fav scenes were Nick and Hank's 'you won't even know we're there' at the end and Wu getting cozy in the trailer :D
Yeah can't see Juliette and Renard being together.
It would mean Juliette and Renard would essentially have to be out of the "Scooby" group permanently because there is no way Nick realistically have anything to do with them do to their betrayal of him and there is now way in hell he would trust them. The triangle storyline didn't work the first time and was almost all consuming to the point the show was unwatchable. Hopefully the writers are smart enough to never go there again.
As a side note Juliette and Renard have only been drawn to each other once and that was because they were under a spell.
The second time something "happened" between them it was actually Adalind posing as Juliette. If you recall the actual Juliette totally and whole heartedly rejected the Captain the next day when he called her as a result of Adalind's deception to try to tell her nothing could happen between them.
Agree. That particular story line is done and dusted. Don't think the writers will go down the same path again. What irks me though is that Juliette did not tell Nick about her change. Why keep this humungous thing from him? Although, part of me thinks that this ' non disclosure' is the writers stretching it out for maximum drama when/if Nick finds out.
Renard is half human, half the male version of a Hexenbeast and has some experience. Add to that it was his Mother's potion and it makes sense she would go to him for answers.
I don't think they're human, at least not normal. I think they have more in common with Grimms OR they're a special type of wesen. I guess if they are wesen, their prejudice against Renard could be to do with mixed bloodlines, sort of like the recent plot.
Of course it is. It's all for drama, lol. But to be fair, Nick and Juliette didn't have any downtime together since she found out and having turned into a Hexenbiest is not something you throw in randomly on the phone or when the whole gang is present.
Which makes me wonder how Nick gets power for the trailer in the woods. I could understand on the junkyard that he got a power line from somewhere but in the middle of nowhere? It doesn't look like he has a generator or something like that there, but there's always light in the trailer. Magic! :-)
Angel fan here too. I think the idea of a team looking out for each other appeals in both , even more in these fantasy genre shows than a gritty drama set in a normal world.
I too was a bit worried about Wu going overboard seeing the last trailer scene until the camera showed the french fries which made it seem like they were playing it more for humor and that he was just catching up. Having the munchies took the genocidal approach kind of out of the picture.
I liked the episode but unlike others, I can see where you are coming from. The middle seemed way too drawn out and the pacing was pretty bad. Halfway through I was wondering if they were making this a 3-part story because they were getting nowhere. Let's jsut say that the wheels of justice turn very, very slowly even in Portland.
Great episode, but I still missing Nick be the bad ass without the gang. I still wait for an episode he could be more Grimm than a cop, in this he try, but still not get there yet.
I loved the episode, but I want to nitpick a bit. How was John Oblinger on their wedding in the first place? I can't remember seeing him among the guests. And why would he be invited? As far as I know the only time he met Monroe and Rosalee was in the webisodes.
I wonder why he came with that woman. He is married with two kids, isn't he? We never saw him together with his family, but when Juliette went to his adress, a woman and two kids hurried inside. I guessed it was his family, but I can be wrong.
Oblinger is Eisbiber, Acker's sister must be Bauerschwein. So Eisbiber is dating Bauerschwein and Officer Acker just tolerated it? That's hard to believe.
I just think it would have been better to pick a random guy from the wedding instead of Oblinger.
Here are my thoughts the story is more about Juliette accepting becoming a hexenbeast and not wanting to get rid of it's just like nick and his grimm powers maybe if she were to get the better of Adalind when she returns to Portland she may like the power she has received
hexenbiests are naturally evil and vile creatures, i'm not even sure if renard is trustworthy and his mom yeah she seems trustworthy but we don't know what's she's done
Yes, but even a simple light bulb needs power. :-) It doesn't matter, though, I just like nitpicking and because Grimm is my favorite series I notice the small mistakes even more. Bud, for instance, was called Rupert by the Wesenrein while the Beaver lodge called him Eisenbud. You should think the writers should remember, but I admit with different writers it's difficult to keep track.
seriously so full of awesome! I loved how they just kicked butt instead of trying to talk through at the Tribunal. I also loved Wu punching the guy, great addition!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Absolutely fabulous rescue.
ReplyDeleteLOVED IT! ONE OF GRIMMS BEST EPISODES EVER!
ReplyDeletel liked this episode a lot, i was expecting a final showdown between nick and the grand master but seen how monroe and rosalee kill the grandmaster was way better.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode 😈

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those times where one takes the high road and just says each to his own. Shame, though, that you could not enjoy a great ride.
ReplyDeleteI rather Nick take down member of The Royals.......these are nothing compare to them
ReplyDeleteis it bad idea to bring Juliet along......surprise Nick allow that.
ReplyDeleteLoved this ep.... loved Monroe and then Bud standing up to the crooked tribunal, and the throwdown with Team Grimm now improved with a little Wu, and Monroe and Rosalee's brutal judgement on the not so grandmaster....I'm really enjoying the arc of Juliette's transformation into a hexenbiest and how she took down that tribunal member.... curious to see how this is going to go....
ReplyDeleteooh imagine Nick vs Viktor that would be so awesome
ReplyDeletegruesome but oh so awesome times 100
ReplyDeleteBounse points on the fact that she killed the little annoying prick that held Monroe prisoner
ReplyDeletethat scene with Juliette in the woods am i crazy or did she blow up his head?
ReplyDeleteyou don't think it was okay for Monroe and Rosalle to do that?
ReplyDeleteWHY JULIETTE WHY GO TO RENARD INSTEAD OF NICK?!!!!!! amazing episode, i wished all of the wesenrien to have died but i guess it fine, i loved that badass walk in the precinct, i'm so glad that Monroe and Rosaee are okay and going on their honeymoon
ReplyDeleteYeah, she did and wasn't to broken up about it at all:)
ReplyDeleteJust wondering juliette is a hexanbeast now so what will be her and Nick's baby be like a HEXANGRIMM????
ReplyDeleteBecause he's a zauberbiest, it was his mothers potion she used that caused this and there's the fact that she dreams about nick killing her
ReplyDeleteWas anyone else scared by Wu's solitary study scene? Have have been worried since Nick told Wu what was up that Wu was going to lean toward the genocidal approach to dealing with Wesen. This was an awesome episode. A really satisfying ending to this story. How mean were Nick and Hank in the limo. LOL
Do we know what type of Wesen the Royals are? Sean is part Hexenbeast but I can't remember if they've ever told us what they are.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's wrong at all. I've liked Juliette since she found out. But still wasn't expecting them to go to the rescue. She rocked! I understand why she'd want to talk to Renard his mother cooked up the spell. So he's an obvious source of information.

but she still should've gone to Nick first
ReplyDeleteoof well Rosalee was definitely not wrong but she did look scared
ReplyDeleteI was more surprised at Rosalee's presence. (she'd been so emotional) But not Juliette. They made it clear it wasn't a police operation and Nick is fully aware of how good a shot Juliette is. (She even saved his life once.) ReplyDeletenot when Juliette will get cured and she WILL get cured
ReplyDeleteI don't think they are wesen since , if they were then why would they hate renard
ReplyDeleteJuliette had kevlar? i didn't see it, her leather jacket was so badass though
ReplyDeleteThe Royals are human not Wesen
ReplyDeleteReally?
ReplyDeleteReally? Sorry, I'm stunned. I have always thought they were Wesen. Huh. Stunned.
When she was getting up off the ground after blowing that guys' skull apart you could see the velcro strapping. ReplyDeleteI thought they hated Renard because he's a bastard and his mom is a Hexenbeast. I thought that was why the put a hit out on is Mom after he was born.
ReplyDeleteyeah it was, definitely a good idea
ReplyDeleteRare Angel fan? I would think a large chunk of Grimm fans were once Angel fans considering they're both by the same people.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking now that Juliette is a Hex-Beast and with Renard in the know, that they may gravitate back to each other (if you know what I mean) and then there could be a sort of messed up love square with A the HexnBitch, Renard, Juliette, and Nick. ReplyDeleteawesome ep! :D :D :D

ReplyDeleteI think she would have, but he kept blowing her off.
ReplyDeleteI don't want her cured. Look how valuable she is as a hexenbiest. She can blow people's heads up.
ReplyDeleteAh, so you're the person who voted "awful."
ReplyDeleteI too was a bit worried about Wu going overboard seeing the last trailer scene until the camera showed the french fries which made it seem like they were playing it more for humor and that he was just catching up. ReplyDeleteBy far the best Grimm episode since Season 3. Just smashing!
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, but I still missing Nick be the bad ass without the gang. I still wait for an episode he could be more Grimm than a cop, in this he try, but still not get there yet.

ReplyDeleteTHIS. MADE. MY. DAY.
ReplyDeleteThat, was absolutely badass!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like your take. It calms me. :-)
ReplyDeleteAre you sure? Have we seen proof they do or don't perceive the wesen? I wouldn't have thought normal humans could control them like they do.
ReplyDeleteyeah Bree Turner confirmed that they're full humans
ReplyDeleteyeah but most people reference Buffy instead of Angel
ReplyDeletehexenbiests are naturally evil and vile creatures, i'm not even sure if renard is trustworthy and his mom yeah she seems trustworthy but we don't know what's she's done
ReplyDeleteoh ok
ReplyDeletebecause of Monroe being kidnapped and she didn't call him that first time
ReplyDeletesame here
ReplyDeletebut Rosalee said that "made" hexenbiests are more dangerous than "born" ones
ReplyDeleteisn't that just a light bulb?
ReplyDeletelike in seasons 1 and 2?
ReplyDeleteYes, but even a simple light bulb needs power. :-)

Yeah I'm pretty sure. All about the money and the divine right to rule.
ReplyDeleteseriously so full of awesome! I loved how they just kicked butt instead of trying to talk through at the Tribunal. I also loved Wu punching the guy, great addition!
