It was ok. Loved seeing Christopher Heyerdahl! Asylum was cool-ish. Think that was about it. Oh and I liked Leslie. I'll like her even more when she meets Bruce. 2 weeks, with more Christopher, should be better episode. Awesome.
I knew Alistair from Supernatural was the killer the first second he showed up, love the guy, so sinister. Glad Isish Whitlock's character is dead, couldn't take him seriously, expecting him to say "shieeeet" any minute.
Meh, I was hoping it would have improved from its mediocre first half of the season but it is still a tedious police procedural with no protagonist to cheer for. Gotham feels like there is zero connection to any comic book universe that is supposed to inspire the stories. Who knew the origin stories in Batville were so uninspiring? Boy, this series needs an adult batman more than ever.
Excellent start for the "New Year" (No Spoilers.................much)! Three points taken from this episode - 1) there are layers to Arkham Asylum ie: Director/Dr. Lang all but admitted it to Bullock. 2) Gotham (the world) still turns with or without Jim Gordan ie: Barbara and Selina Kyle. 3) there are some twisted characters in Gotham's shadow ie: Ivy, Jack Gruber, and Butch (surprise)! Am I the only one glad see the sexy Brazilian Morena Baccarin back on FOX? 4 A DARK KNIGHT IN GOTHAM, I am Nobody!!!
If you're referring to this shows tackling of the villains development and origin then yes they're not very good at doing the comics justice. If you mean inspiring as in uplifting it's Gotham nothing is inspiring there.
ALISTAIR WHOOOO!!!! LOL, sorry Supernatural fan here anyway liked it but didn't love it because there was no Bruce in the episode, it was messed up, can't hate Thompkins honestly tried to: tried to remember Anna or Erica Flynn but DO NOT HATE HER AT ALL LOL!!!!!
uninspiring show as in not stimulating or invigorating; dull. I get the dark, dour and depressing mood of Gotham, the city but it's only a place and should not be the star of the series. Gotham needs character to care about.
Agreed. And while I think Bruce or Gordon need work, I think that there's a very goofed chance that they'll become more interesting as protagonists. But unfortunately the show's premise is really hindering in so many ways.
I liked it. It's so much better when it's serialized. It's good to see Heyerdahl in another role. I really love his acting but I just can't stand He's Hell on Wheels character. I think it was very clear that he was behind the "brain grilling". They wouldn't cast him just to have him in an asylum play LOL. There were a couple o fhilarious moments. Like Harvey needing to finish his Whiskey first before rushing to the emergency xD
I voted awesome on the strength that I am a fan, however it still seems lacking something, besides Bruce and Alfred, I don't know maybe cause we already no what's going to happen or not happening! But next week looks to be action packed and intense!!!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
