  1. Great episode. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, wondering if something will prevent Cary from going to prison. But now I fear what Kalinda did to save Cary will bite her ass one day along with Cary and the rest of the Florrick/Argos firm. It wouldn't surprise me if this plays a role in Kalinda's impending departure from the show.

  2. I guess there is our answer to how they're going to be writing off Kalinda...

  3. Ohhhh, The Good Wife. You never fail to disappoint me! That was such an amazing return.

That scene where Kalinda shows up at Bishop's house again to ask for a favor after what she did to him (threatening his son) had me holding my breath and praying that nothing would happen to Kalinda. Bishop scares the shit out of me and he was not messing around but at least he helped her.

Poor Cary. Throughout the episode you can just tell he was not looking so good and dreading going to prison. But it was kinda funny when the prison consultant told him and Kalinda "less talking, more sex" XD And then the final few minutes had me breathed a huge sigh of relief. We finally don't have to worry about Cary going to prison anymore but now we have to worry A LOT for Kalinda for hacking into the server and tweaking the metadata to show the email as "read". Uh oh, this is not going to be good. I have a feeling this will come back to haunt her :(

Alicia during the mock showdown with Peter was absolutely phenomenal. She was owning him like a badass and it was so great to watch. And I felt so happy for her when she got the news that Cary was finally free haha. She screamed at the top of her lungs and then kissed Jonathan out of left field! That was definitely a celebratory kiss and she clearly didn't care about it XD

  4. A fantastic episode! It had me stressed and holding my breath half the time!

Currently rewatching it, letting it digest a bit, while I frame the review. I'll be posting it after work tomorrow. :)

  5. My absolute favourite episodes of The Good Wife are when they are racing against an impossible deadline so this episode was everything I love about the show. The increasingly intense music, the twists and turns, everything was perfect. So happy Cary is free now, will admit for a split second I thought he may have run off to Spain.

Oh and Alicia at the end was amazing, loved her spontaneous kiss with Elfman, she felt so alive in that moment.

  6. What an epic return of TGW (the most intense & unpredictable episode since 5x15-5x16)!
Archie & Matt were absolutely killing it! It's been a while since Kalinda truly had a purpose that was central to the plot, which is a shame because Archie is simply magnificent. I shudder to think that Kalinda will be written out soon - after she's gone, there'll be none of the original core relationships (A/W,D/W,A/K) left on the show. :(
Anyway, it's a relief that Cary is not going to prison (those consultation scenes were torture enough for me!), though the prospect of Kalinda taking his place and the looming threat of Bishop are even more worrying. Somehow I think that it won't be the falsified evidence that gets her in the end, and I doubt she'll be killed. But who knows...
On a sidenote, not that I'm reading anything into that kiss at the end, but I like the idea of Alicia/Johnny as a couple more than I do Alicia/Finn. The latter feels forced as an Alicia/Will replacement, besides I'll always associate Finn with Will's death. Alicia/Finn are best as friends.

  7. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on it! :)

  8. I'm not too sure, it's just one of the possibilities: the falsified evidence (running away or getting arrested because of it); Bishop (him killing her; or her killing him and disappearing or getting arrested for his murder); her husband (his body turning up somewhere?!).

  9. Thing I'd like to say about this episode: god, I love Alicia.

  10. Amazing episode. So many different pieces of storyline all balanced so well and an ending that left me in total satisfaction.

  11. Seemed liked Carey had very little time to be saved but I'm glad he was.

  12. I can see it being a combination of the falsified evidence and Bishop.

  13. Yeah, I hope the kiss is an one time thing. I would hate there to be some unresolved sexual tension between them. We already the Finn-Alicia thing going on.

  14. WOW it was SO tense!!!Barely bearable!!!
Is that kiss at the end " elated with beating Peter + Cary being saved" or is it "poor Finn, your affections were lmisplaced"?

  15. Justin, I'm sure you meant 'You never disappoint me' LOL

I think you must have tried to say both "You never disappoint me" and "You never fail to amaze me" at the same time. Like in The Last Unicorn when Molly Grue says to Cully (of Schmendrick) "Slit his wizard!" The novel explains that she meant "gizzard" and "weasand".

If only he'd been the one around when she got the good news!

    Guy's name is Johnny Elfman.

You're welcome. Also, you (and everyone else alive) should totally read that book.

  20. "Yuck. I cannot stand Julianna Margulies. I do not think she can act at all."
    I'm sorry but whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?! :p

  21. As I'm LITTERALY ALWAYS saying to my boyfriend after each episode : "aaaaaaaaaahhhh c'est toujours bien The Good Wife" ("aaaaaaaaahhh The Good Wife is always soooooo gooooood"). I don't think this show is capable of doing a lame episode (like POI). Even if some are "less" good they're still better than 90% of what on TV these days.

Then I really don´t know what do you consinder acting, but she is phenomenal!! for god´s sake that woman won Golden Globe and they don´t give away those things lightly.
But seriously who is great actor according to you? I´m really curious.

  23. You don't have to insult me just because I don't like her. I find her stone-faced and cannot act. Sorry if that does not sit well with you.

I like every main actor/actress on The Good Wife except for her.
