  1. I REALLY did not believe it until I ACTUALLY saw it. But I'm so glad that I did!

Lindsay seems so out of place right now. She does great work but she looks so uncomfortable. I hope it'll get better. That boss of hers is making me mad. He REALLY needs to work on his attitude!

  2. After this episode I think Lindsay will go back to Intelligence. This task force just isn't for her. Plus her spot is still open. I actually liked the ending, and I loved the quick Burgess/Ruzek scene.

  3. Oh yes. I totally forgot about Burgess/Ruzek because of all the ending hype.. But that was absolutely adorable. He is so in love with her!

  4. This episode was awesome! I can't believe they actually went there with Lindsay and Halstead, but I'm glad they did. Chicago PD isn't groundbreaking, but it's become an extremely solid show that has proven itself to be enjoyable week in and week out!

  5. I loved the show but i could care less about Erin and Jay, if she goes back to Intelligence how is that gonna work i mean voight told them he'd split them up it they ever got together,so are they gonna be friends with benefits or is this a go behind Voights back and hope he doesn't find out. To me partners having sex just turned this bad ass cop show into a soap opera. I seem to be in the minority of people who can't stand Linstead. Sorry

  6. I'm betting we'll see Erin back at Intelligence soon, and I actually think it will provide some good story lines that test their relationship as well as Lindsay and Voight's relationship, but I do see your point. I'm all about romance when I watch a show though, so that's just my opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh don't get me wrong i'm all about the romance to, but i think they should have led up to it not have Jay make a comment like we don't work together anymore than Erin being upset at the end and shows up at Jays' and suddenly we have hot and heavy sex, sorry just doesn't work and worse it was so much like when Kelly and Erin slept together but at least they worked up to it by having kissing in one episode then that big crossover where they had a really heart wrenching day and then they got together. I kinda don't like Linstead as a couple and think it's gonna change the whole dynamics of the show. This all just my opinion sorry it's so long.

  8. I'm so glad Linstead finally happened! The ending was awesome for me. And Jay doesn't hold back do it? He's direct!!!

Burgess surprised me. I kind of had a feeling she wasn't going to take the job. I saw the pictures for the next episode so that confirmed it for me. They were filming yesterday, Lindsay and halstead filming in the car along with Voight. Also, the crossover episode shows Lindsay back in intelligence so I have a feeling she'll be back really soon.

Ruzek and Burgess were cute this episode.

For some reason the unit feels out of sync without Lindsay. It's a different feel and the FBI's do they have to be such dicks? I mean seriously. If they're so great, they wouldn't need any assistance tracking and finding down this criminal. I'm not liking the Marlboro Man and LIndsay doesn't look comfortable with that unit. Hopefully that ends soon.

Can't wait to see how Linstead continues, especially when she returns to Intelligence. Great episode

  9. He's not direct i think he's just horny, Erin was upset about the comments from her boss so she went where she knew she could get comfort, like it or not it's all sex tonight, it might not stay that way but i think it's just funny that last year it was no way Linstead was gonna happen and then suddenly low and behold dating rumors started about Sophia and Jesse and once again another co-star boyfriend becomes her boyfriend on screen. It's time to break the cycle Sophia stop dating your co-stars.

  10. Erin and Kelly had no buildup, he doesn't even know a thing about her. Her past nothing. He showed up at her doorstep with a stupid pickup line and they kissed. Then don't call her at all and then next ep they sleeping together. Jay knows her past, always been there for her. Kelly was never there for her, it was always her comforting him. This is just my opinion

    ReplyDelete
  11. I loved it, she came to him and that scene between her and Jay was hot. It's been a long time coming with those two. She trusts Jay and he always know when something is wrong with her.

  12. I just think they took a kick ass cop show and now it's a soap opera, suddenly Erin has second thoughts about the task force and then what happens with Vought when he finds out. I mean how can anyone say it's been a long time coming it's only their second season, they should have kept this show like SVU, we had great chemistry and tensions alot with Olivia and Elliot but they never crossed that line,he knew her better than anyone, same for her but they kept it professional, and yes he was married but also separated for a long time. I just think it changes the whole dynamics of the show. This just my opinion but i just think they were better as just friends and partners. So i hope it works out ok but not sticking around to find out.

  13. If Erin didn't want him coming on to her she would have let it be known. Last year they said they couldn't get into a relationship because they worked together so it was no surprise that he would have said that since they weren't working together anymore they could get into a relationship. Erin did have a bad day, doesn't respect or agree with the the way her boss works or thinks but she did go to Halstead's apartment at the end of the day not just to talk.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The reason SVU survived all these years is because they never gave much importance to romance. That said, I'm glad Linstead finally happened.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I couldn't stand Lindsay with Severide. They would never talk about each other, but then randomly one would show up on the other's show, and they would sleep together. That's not the kind of relationship I want on my tv. I'm so glad they broke up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sorry but they did have a build up, she was there when that guy went after him, she was there when his sister was kidnapped, so what if it was a cheesy pick-up it broke the ice even more, and after the big explosion they all needed someone, but i think it was interesting that they had them making the same way her and Kelly did, couldn't come up with any thing more original. Just my thoughts.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The only one always horny is Ruzek!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ok i guess my next question will be, Was this just a one time thing or will they actually end up in a relationship, we know Erin will end up back at intelligence so what happens then cause they will be working together again? Will Voight allow this or does Erin lie to the one guy that gave her a life back just so she can have sex every other night. If it's gonna work she has to be honest with him or that's not Erin.

  19. What a great episode, loved all of it, not just the end. I don't care really for Burgess, but she made points declining the job offer. I like her with Roman, who has grown into one of my favorite characters. Roman and Platt also were great together. Maybe Burgess dumps Ruzek for Ramon and moves than up to Intelligence, but I think that is wishfull thinking on my part. Roman is still in love with his old partner.

But this was supposed to be Lindsay first day on the new job, and I think it was nicely done how conflicted she was between her new boss and Voight's way of handling things. She had been working for along time with Voight, so of course conflicts were bound to come up, that is the same with every new job. First days are always awfull and at the end she went right into her comfort zone showing up at Halstead apartment. So glad it finally happened, she and Jay were friends and partners for so long, and the chemistry was there forever, so it happened very natural. Previous episodes have shown that those two understand each other without much words, so I am very glad it happened they way it did. IMO they did not need the shall we - shouldn't we discussion nor did we need a lot of foreplay, because we already got that. I also think Erin is back soon, and Voight made the exception for Burgess, so I cannot imagine he will treat the Lindstead relationship any different now. Maybe the writers never wanted to have Burgess upstairs but put that in to allow Lindstead to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I rather have romance between Lindstead than running the show for 16 years. Chicago PD was always more that a procedural, I love the character development between all of them more than the case of the week.

  21. It's not like she dated this guy in-between. And people please. I mean, what is so different from college people dating college people. Colleagues dating colleagues. She meets nice guys at a set she spends most of her day.. Just because she is an actor doesn't mean she can date her co-workers.
    Normal people do it..

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, Voight was willing to make an exception for Burzek, why not Linstead as well? I mean, it's probably gonna be a little more difficult since he kind of sees her as a daughter but he is willing to look away for Burzek.. Still hope there!

    ReplyDelete
  23. You're right she can date her co-stars if she wants, but when interviewed last yr during the filming of the bombing she said and i quote that it would be to weird and the powers that be were against her getting together with her partner yes they flirt sometimes and have fun but nothing is going to happen then suddenly she's dating Jesse another co-star who once again becomes her boyfriend on screen i'm just saying now all of a sudden it's ok. Please enough is enough. As far as Burgess was concerned i think he felt back because she had been shot and i also think who knew she wouldn't take the job.

  24. I thought for a second that Lindsey was going to start and finish with the taskforce in one episode and crawl back home to intelligence - I'm so glad that DIDN'T happen. I'm all good with her ending back on intelligence at some point but I would have been peeved if it only lasted one episode. I do wonder why she's with Halstead again next ep though if she's meant to be task force.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think she'll be back in intelligence by the cross over episode which means she's only on the task force for about 3 episodes. Should have gave it a little more time.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, things change. Vibes change. I know that I was in situations where I thought I would never ever date a person and suddenly the person turned out to be exactly what I wanted. But yes, I do get where you are coming from.

But then again, as much as at least I wish that they are dating, it's only a rumor so far. It might be "reported" by an insider and close friend, but how often did we have that same situation. Maybe they really are just close friends. Maybe it's easier to just focus on her professional career and let her live her private life the way she wants it.

And I have to disagree with the Burgess comment. I don't think he felt bad. Cops get shot, even female ones. He's a hard core Sergeant, leading a team of good detectives. He wouldn't say that if he didn't mean it. And as we saw at the end of last episode, he didn't expect for her to decline, so I don't think he knew. Why would he even offer her the opportunity if he thought she declined?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I do agree her personal life is her own i just think dating a co-star or co-worker for that matter makes for a bad working situation sometimes if the relationship doesn't work out, that being said the difference between Kim and Erin is that Erin is like his daughter and if she gets hurt than he's gonna wanna kill the person that hurt her. Well they did look awful close in that picture she posted of them watching the episode so i really don't know. But i think if they do start dating Voight won't let them continue as partners so i guess you guys will have to wait and see cause i loved her with Kelly so i really can't watch her with Jay.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Great episode. Love Lindsay's character how she evolved and how she cares. You can see that she feels out of her place in her new team. And Finally!! Her and Jay. Nobody can deny their chemistry. Have loved this pair even from the start. Their getting together is a way for her to be linked to her former team. And yes I think this amazing show really deserves a little bit of romance. After all the characters are amazing and they evolved each on their own not as couples. One of the best shows really.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think the only person she wanted to see was Jay. Besides Voight, Jay is the only one who really knows Erin. Plus Voight told Burgess last week that if she and Ruzek could handle working together, he would allow it. If he can make that allowance Erin and Jay will be fine. I like them together but I think Ruzek and Burgess are so much cuter, especially last week! I see what you are saying though.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love Ruzek and Burgess! Maybe they can do all the drama with Erin and Jay and leave those two together. The part last week when he told he loved her, has to be one of the best scenes the show has ever done in my opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Maybe the writers saw something with Erin and Jay and realize the potential tons of fans see in them. they wanted to take Severide character in a totally different direction since they killed Shay. And well at the beginning of the season Sophia said they were going to explore Linstead. Plus with both actors, Taylor and Sophia are both dominant on their own shows. It was hard to tape scenes together. recent article with Olmstead, Severide seems to be getting a new relationship . Voight doesn't give jobs because he feel bad that they got shot. And sophia and jesse never confirmed their relationship. Dick wolf wouldn't just let them have a relationship on tv just because they might be dating. Things change, they said a lot of stuff that didn't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well because chemistry was there since episode 1 and they both wanted it but because of Voight they didn't pursue it. It's not a soap opera, we don't know how next episode will be

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with everything you've just said. Erin and Jay, it's great, I hope it works out and all, but Burgess and Ruzek is definitely my favorite couple.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Loved it, too. Hope Erin stays in her new job a bit longer, so their new relationship can blossom a bit. Chicago PD is great, ratings this week were the same as Fire. I think it is bit overlooked, it is a lot more personal than any other procedural show, which I like a lot.

  35. I agree with everything you said :))

  36. Geeez this Sandy Edge, you got it all figured out! And your opinion is one in a million & most don`t agree with your opinion so maybe you should think about that!! You sound like a spoiled brat who has to get her own way & the last word.
I think the show has come along way since Episode One, grown a lot, and if you had half a brain you`d remember Jay & Erin had a thing from the start & yeah they put the breaks on it, but doesn`t mean they still don`t feel or care and things change from season to season & they aren`t going to give stuff away in interviews. You forgot the idea is they work more then the one case a week that we see on TV, they build relationships & become close while the camera isn`t rolling, you`re suppose to use some of your imagination to fill in blanks of things that could have happened. They can`t film every detail for you. Co workers date, seems to me you have a pick on Sophia Bush or just jealous. Hell if I worked around the men she works with I`d date them too. lol good lord! The show is FAR from a soap opera and they ARE KICK ASS COPS, every show needs a little lovin, I love how they are playing out the Burgess/Ruzek thing, just a little kiss here or there, a small scene here or there and last week where Ruzek said he loved her (whoever said it) was the BEST scene so far!! (they were right) It`s not too much it`s just enough!! Comparing SVU to CPD LMAO there is no comparison CPD IS BETTER BY FAR!!! Olivia and Eliot? wth? what chemisty? gag me! One of the reasons I get sick of SVU is bc there is no `humanity` there is no love....everyone needs that and pretending they are robots on that show sickens me and I hate cops that have no feelings!! I wanna SEE REAL COPS WITH REAL FEELINGS!!! CPD AND CF have it down!! I could care less if saw another cop show, they are doing it right with this....

  37. I agree with you. VOIGHT would've offered Burgess the position last season if she wasn't dating Ruzek. She was the better patrolman for the position as stated by Alvin. Voight meant to offer her the position. I absolutely agree with you. So Voigh rule changed as well. No big deal.

If Sophia & Jesse are dating, that's cool and it's their business and choice. Working daily with an attractive person, just like normal people, actors & actress, they become attracted to one another. Like 75%of couples meet on the job. And if they are dating, good, that puts more passion into their characters relationship. Whether it's flirting, partnering, or as a couple. Who wouldn't be attracted to Jesse? The man is very attractive..

90% of shows have ships nowadays. The audience loves it. And as stated by the actors in press for the first season, Chicago PD is different. You'll see them tackling the cases and their personal lives as well. For me, that's what makes GREAT TV!!!

Again, I agree with your post and just chiming in.

    ReplyDelete
  38. She doesn't have to be upfront & fourth coming with Voight until the timing is right. She's just revealed to Voight 2 situations she's been keeping from him for years. And the only reason she told him is because the two trouble people from her past showed back up in Chicago.

Erin doesn't need Voight permission to date Halstead. And I don't see Voight kicking either one of them out the unit, personally. Right now it's being explored. Let's see where it goes. It's exciting to see them together although some may disagree.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think she's coming back to intelligence not this upcoming episode but the following. It's difinately before the crossover episode. They didn't show her in the next episode preview. Probably why the crossover is pushed out to Feb 3rd to give her time enough to get back in intelligence.

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're probably right but it still feels like a rushed storyline to me. I mean the build up of her moving was several episodes and for her to only be there a couple of episodes feels like a misstep. I hope they handle the closure of this storyline carefully as it has the potential to damage Lindsey's credibility as a law officer and as a strong woman. I'm fine with them damaging that credibility if that's their intent.
