  1. I think this was my favorite episode of the entire series. I love Burgess and Burzek, and I'm pretty sure I squealed when he told her he loved her. I really hope she accepts Voight's offer to join Intelligence. This show is so good right now!

  2. This was an amazing episode that kept you at the edge of your seat the entire hour.

  3. What was with the end scene with burgess?

  4. I was wondering that too. Maybe being shot is making her reflect on whether she wants to be a cop anymore. She didn't even tell Ruzek that Voight offered her the position. There has to be a reason for that.

  5. That could be true or maybe she is just taking a private moment to process what happened to her and telling herself that she's still here, she lives to fight another day.

  6. It's Ruzek. Burzek is their couple name BURges and ruZEK :p but yes i agree with everything you've said :)

  7. I thought the reason she didn't tell Ruzek was because he was sleeping and she didn't want to wake him up. And she was probably still processing it all.

  8. I know it's their couple name that's why I used it. Sorry if it was confusing- I'll edit it.

  9. I was wondering about that too. She was obviously reflecting on what had happened but I wasn't sure if the fear had finally penetrated the post surgery haze, or if she was admiring her "red badge of courage" and getting her bada** face on in preparation for her new job. I guess time will tell.

  10. Considering Burgess is his best friend, he's known her longer and better than anyone in the squad, and this is the woman that watches his little sister that Atwater would have been more involved in this episode. I think he was in one scene in the entire episode and that was just spouting some information about a suspect. It's like the writers forgot Atwater and Burgess even knew each other.

  11. I agree. In the promotional photos they showed him at the hospital with Ruzek when she was unconscious. I guess they cut that scene out. I was disappointed.

  12. Loved the episode, it is one of my favorite shows, I cannot understand why it doesn't get more attention. The stories and the characters are great, I mean it is doing ok, but the ratings should go through the roof. IMO it even better than Chicago Fire.

I cannot believe that I even like Roman, his interactions with Voight were great, how he supported him when Roman clearly blamed himself. And finally we got some brief flirting between Lindsay and Halstead. I saw the next week's promo, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Most of season 2 I missed the two flirting.

  13. I think the writers treat Atwater's character very badly. It is like he is the minority guy without any other purpose, which is sad.

  14. I love the affectionate side of Voight. It's such a contrast with the Voight that smacks criminals around.

  15. Agreed, I much prefer CPD to Chicago Fire

  16. LOL yeah!!!! And even when they set off the car alarm. They should have been more careful with that house considering so far every other place had been rigged! Also, I doubt the hospital would have let Burgess out that early, but I'll maintain my suspension of disbelief for that as it was way more dramatic to have the reflection scene in her own home.
