SS The MusketeersAs there is no episode this week, Justyna and myself thought we would run daily polls to find out some fans favourites from Season 1. Today you have the chance to vote for your favourite Actor and Actress. The polls will remain open for 24 hours, and you may only vote once.

Voted for Tom and Maimie though I love Ryan as well.
ReplyDeleteSantiago and Alexandra!
ReplyDeleteIt was very, very close but I went with Santi for actor - sorry Ryan and Tom, but he just pipped you at the post in S1. Then I went with Ali for actress. Again it was a tough decision though, all three girls are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIt's impossible for me to pick just one, they're all great which is one of the reason the show it soooo good.
ReplyDeleteLuke and Tamla for me :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, picking my favourite male was hard! I ended up going with Luke because I feel like he brings a lot of depth to D'Artagnan and his performance always gives me all sorts of feels haha. Ryan and Peter would be tied at second for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's too easy: Peter Capaldi by far and Maime McCoy.
ReplyDeleteI went with Tom and Alexandra. It was really hard to choose - they are all tremendously talented actors.
ReplyDeletePeter Capaldi, of course.
ReplyDeleteThen Tom Burke, Ryan Gage and Santiago Cabrera.
It's too hard to pick just one! The whole cast of actors and supporting actors is great. However, Ryan Gage is probably the biggest standout for me. For females, I like Tamla Kari the most.
ReplyDeleteTheres just something about Tom Burke!
ReplyDeleteI voted for Luke and Tamla as well. They're really talented. The whole cast is, of course. But these two are extra special to me.
ReplyDeleteSandi, choosing my favorite actor is like choosing my favorite child! I love them all! And I really can't decide who to pick. I immediately thought Luke, but then Tom just might have won series 1 for me....and Gage is killing it this series. And then there is Santi...and I don't think any of the others could bring to Porthos what Howie is doing. I just can't decide....I may have to abstain. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have a point about Luke...I think all other d'Artagnan representations have been very shallow in comparison. I may have to vote for him now. Ha.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree about Luke, and it's why he got my vote. It's such a fantastic cast all round, but something in how Luke shows D'Artagnan's courage, naivete, impulsiveness, vulnerability, eagerness, romantic heart and pure heroism all in one still maturing character is fantastic and very exciting to watch. If I had to pick a second it would be Tom, but again, in such a great cast it's a tough call!
ReplyDeleteFor the girls, Tamla for me.
I'm unable to vote. Quite unique, I haven't got one particular favorite. In fact, I don't even know which two favorite ones to pick. The lads are complementing each other in such a way, that one could not be without the other. They're all my favorites, I'm completely smitten with all!
ReplyDeleteI remember a critic in Radio Times describing his performance in Skins ( his biggest episode ) as "Intense, tremendously open-hearted and sensitive" and I think that describes Luke as an actor perfectly, he makes d'Artagnan 'real' whether it's the positive side of being a young hot-head or the negative side..
ReplyDeleteRyan is hugely entertaining as Louis and good in the role but I think the 'young hero' in these kinds of dramas often get over-looked and Luke is definately one of the most 'realistic' and passionate d'Artagnan's ever.
This was a hard choice. The cast is pretty stellar all around...
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's a great cast all round.
ReplyDeleteon a side note: I ran into a howard charles 2048 puzzle. Other musketeers are applicable too, I image! LOL! http://community.usvsth3m.com/2048/howard-charles-edition/
ReplyDeleteHey there, welcome to the site :) That is a pretty addictive game! lol
ReplyDeleteI've made a Musketeers one, lol - http://community.usvsth3m.com/2048/musketeers-edition-8/
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandi. Been here for ages, but never replied. This is the first time. I love this show!
ReplyDeletewhahaha that's even funnier! ROTFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteGotta keep yourself amused while the football bumps the episode XD
ReplyDeleteUm... maybe I'm just thick, but I really don't get how they work. Have read the instructions but still none the wiser...?! #hides
ReplyDeleteYou have to slide two alike pictures together to make them disappear from the board using the arrow keys. All the tiles shift in that direction as far as they can when you click that direction, any 'pairs' disappear and one random new picture appears, The game is over if the board fills up entirely with pictures.
ReplyDeleteCan I just add that I think Santi is the best Aramis EVER in terms of his look and the way he comes across - handsome and romantic but not cliche, funny or light like past Aramis's have been, this Aramis can be taken seriously and even has a slightly dark side at times - punching his own Captain out of anger in S1 for example and falling for women who bring him trouble.
ReplyDeleteThe other three are brilliantly cast too, with Luke bringing more romantic passion and warmth to D'Artagnan than many previous versions.
