This one was easy. Team Grimm saving Monroe and kicking butt wins all the awards for this episode. I love how everyone got to participate. Second for me would be Bud standing up for both Nick and Monroe even though he could be killed for it.
ReplyDeleteLove how one of the options mentioned how Wu managed to NOT punch Hank in the face. I give him kudos for that too. LOL
ReplyDeleteThere's so many of them, but I voted for Bud before the tribunal.
ReplyDeleteI spent the entire time chanting, "Punch them. Punch them. Punch them." I really think both Nick and Hank deserve it.
ReplyDeleteBud is my hero of the episode. He had the least ability to fight and yet he stood true to his friends at what could have been great cost to himself. I loved when he said he did not regret helping Nick and only wished he could help him more.
ReplyDeleteI liked stammering Bud at the tribunal best with an honorable mention to Juliette at the tribunal. I think her Hexenbiest is making her a little more aggressive already. I could swear she almost seemed to enjoy herself. She certainly didn't hesitate to cap a guy either.
ReplyDeleteI really like how they brought Bud into this whole storyline. I always enjoy scenes with him and the fact that he stood up to the bullies when he was obviously scared meant a lot. As for Juliette, i think they've finally managed to make her interesting although I really do not want them to drag out this secret for long. That's too much season 1 Nick for me.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode! I haven't been this excited about Grimm since Zombie Nick.
ReplyDeleteWinner for me was Team Grimm taking out the Tribunal - tossing their badges in the car, Rosalee and Monroe taking Riken down together and Juliette using her Hexenbeist powers to blow a hole in his head that totally looked like a gunshot...I could go on and on!
Honorable mention goes to Wu's restraint (I would've punched Hank and Nick) and Bud's courage in the face of the Tribunal.
Can't wait for next week!
I don't think they'll keep it a secret for long. Hell, I doubt the secret will last more than another episode. My nitpick here is that Juliette didn't tell Nick before anyone else.
ReplyDeleteI'm continually impressed by Danny Bruno's ability to rattle off those meandering, rapid fire Bud monologues.
ReplyDeleteThat was good, but I just adore comic relief he brings like his premature Woge and when Nick showed up and Bud said sth like 'Hey Nick, I mean, I don't know you'.
ReplyDeleteAn easy choice for Team Grimm this week. But I also loved the look on Hank's face when he saw what Renard did to the wesenrein runaway in the woods. The look on Hank's face was way more effective than just showing Renard ripping the guy apart. Plus, loved Bud standing up and being brave.
ReplyDeleteRight? He's like Denis Leary without all the swearing!
ReplyDeleteHank's expression was priceless!
ReplyDeleteI loved how the Captain was all in on this one.
ReplyDeleteThe exact opposite for me. Babbling Bud in first position. I really missed the man. And in second, the rescue party with everyone.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best moments on Grimm ever.
ReplyDeleteIt's very hard to choose. The whole episode was epic!
ReplyDeleteThe last choice says, "Monroe researches in the trailer..."
ReplyDeleteYou meant Wu instead of Monroe, right?
Fixed.
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt my favorite scene was when the guys took their badges off, and team Grimm was officially going off to kick some Tribunal butts, just the way the team came together with Wu, fineally on board good times ahead!!!
ReplyDeleteI also was miffed that she didn't try harder to tell Nick, but she probably has reasons. I have a sneaking suspicion he will know next week, and the reason is that the promo scene of Nick approaching sleeping Juliette with an ax is likely a dream, and more likely his dream than hers.
ReplyDeleteYes. Enough with the dragging out of secrets. It hasn't worked well for them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful episode. Lots of good scenes.
ReplyDelete1. I liked the Scoobies walking together down the hall in solidarity. It gave us our first really good look at all of them together. Juliette, Rosalee, Renard, WU!!!
2. Juliette trying to get information from a distraught Rosalee. I do think she would have divulged her secret if she'd had a little encouragement.
3. Bud babbling in front of the tribunal.
4. Yes to Avonlea Mist's suggestion of Hank watching Renard. The muggles just can't enough of these magical Wesen.
The team saving Monroe and Moroe's speech about love were my favorites.
ReplyDeleteJust one? Team Grimm
ReplyDeleteAll these years after Buffy, we finally have a new Scooby Gang :-)
ReplyDeleteHe'd definitely talented. I wonder if part of it is improv because that would be even cooler.
ReplyDeleteBud is amazing. He's even more important now because he and Wu are the only real source of comedy these days.
ReplyDeleteI about died when he awkwardly took back knowing Nick. So much fun.
ReplyDeleteIn Juliette's defense, she really did not have time to tell Nick and she did try. It made sense to me that she went to Renard while he was busy escorting the happy couple. I hope she tells him next week, but this is a show that never met a Juliette storyline it didn't like to drag out until it was painful.
ReplyDeleteNot in any genre show ever. If you are dealing with the supernatural, secrets should be permanently banned.
ReplyDeleteI actually think it is Juliette's dream because it reminds me of the Rosalee fake out the episode before. My guess is it is this dream that makes her hesitate in telling Nick what's happening. Here's hoping they don't drag it out too long.
ReplyDeleteI thought the throwing the badges in scene was really powerful along with the walk out of the precinct with everyone. They were great visuals. I am glad the Wesenrein plot is over but I am excited that Wu is finally on the team and that the team itself is more cohesive. Still miss Trubel though.
ReplyDeleteHank's, "Damn," was perfect. I agree that it was much better than showing more carnage. Much more effective as well. It was a tossup for me whether Wu's expressions ro Hank's was the best in this episode.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Renard parts was when he was with Acker and he was telling him that they weren't following the rules on this case. Renard was even more awesome than usual in this one.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling this is going to be a fan favorite even after the series ends. Nothing like putting the fandom's favorite character in jeopardy to raise the stakes.
ReplyDeleteThis felt like a turning point for Team Grimm and they are much more cohesive now. They all did what had to be done and that bonds people tightly together. I can't wait to see how this plays off in the future. I too loved Bud's stance in this one. He just keeps getting better.
ReplyDeleteWhen they were walking out of the precinct all I could think was, "Two detectives, two hexenbeists, a Grimm and a pissed off Fuchsbau wife. Those idiots are toast". Soooo happy to see Wu among the Grimm Gang.
ReplyDeleteI miss Truble terribly. I hope she returns before the season is over!
Hank's delivery with the eyebrows was pitch perfect. But one bit did puzzle me though - each member of Team Grimm was shown in turn in pursuit of and permanently disposing of the fleeing Wesenrein - so who was guarding and keeping the other Wesenrein from just taking off back at the site of the Tribunal ? Bud was still tied up and on his knees when Nick returned so it wasn't him. At the first Renard was holding them all in situ at gunpoint but he too showed up to polish off Hank's quarry. I am nitpicking I know - they were all tied up when everyone returned so I guess we were supposed to think that's what kept them from scuttling away whilst everyone was running hither and thither.
ReplyDeleteThe second they took Monroe, they were dead. You don't take a fandom's favorite and get away with it. :-P
ReplyDeleteVery, very good question. Perhaps it was straight up fear that kept them there, knowing they would go straight to the top of the Grimm's hit list. More likely though we're not supposed to question that in the heat of the chase, which of course makes the niggling in the back of my mind worse.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that Juliette would have told Rosalee while Monroe was kidnapped. That's an awful lot to place on her at once. I do expect Juliette to confide in Rosalee soon though. I too was a big fan of the Team Grimm Strut out of the precinct. Awesome visual.
ReplyDeleteYou know I didn't realize Adalind wasn't in this until the 2nd rewatch. That's my kind of episode and proves that I don't ever miss her. I am good if she goes away.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I always only allow one vote and not just because it is harder. I feel we get some good conversation when people comment on what ultimately chose and the ones they want to honorably mention.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of the easiest polls for me because the rescue stood out so much, but I agree that there were several scenes where I was cheering.
ReplyDeleteHa! Now that Wu knows, I am good with the new Scooby Gang again. Here's hoping Trubel can rejoin them, preferably not with Josh in tow.
ReplyDeleteNO. Definitely not. I see Trubel as the Willow of the gang. Lesbian and all. Just a vibe I get from her
ReplyDeleteI didn't get anything either way from her and quite frankly I hope they don't ever get tied up in romance for Trubel. She's a kick butt female and that's all I need. I just meant that Josh annoys me so I hope he doesn't come back anymore. He would dampen my utter enthusiasm for Trubel to return a little. I would much rather Trubel had gone off with Mama Grimm than him.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't know. I'm just paraphrasing
ReplyDeleteExactly! Of course, I knew he wasn't going to die (didn't even cross my mind, this it not The 100) BUT I was so excited to see everyone kick ass getting him back that it more than made up for the lack of suspense.
