How can you not include the EPIC "I can't lose you, too" Bellarke moment? That scene was just brilliant! Fans were extra excited for that moment1
ReplyDeleteI watched the first half of the episode early in the morning before I went to work and didn't register that part of the scene. I wrote it as Clarke and Bellamy argue about him going to the Mountain. When I finished after work I had over 20 scenes to choose from and I can only use a maximum of 12 so I cut the list down like I always do. Generally I include more of the high plot points which means that the poll tends to have more things from the end of the episode than the beginning. If it makes you feel any better, I also cut one of my favorite scenes which was Kane and Abbie talking about Clarke and Jaha.
ReplyDeleteI am going with all things Clarke and Lexa as they were the best thing about the episode for me. I like how Clarke is determined to be more hard like Lexa, but I don't think it will last for long.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed everything about Kane in this episode. Even when the camera just panned to his profile/face. He has come to a realization that Abby is still not ready to believe. The conversation between those two was a great scene.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dahne, again, on this show. All things Lexa and Clarke were amazing. I also don't think the ice cold Clarke will last long though I do believe she will forever be hardened by everything that has happened.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed most all of the scenes listed but Lexa quickly became a favorite.
I was not a fan of Gustus being the guilty party. I had hoped for Indra because I really can't take much of her.
My fav is also when Clark tells Bellamy that she can't lose him too
ReplyDeleteMonty cons his way into the control center to unjam the radio but gets caught and ends up in a cage next to Harper.
ReplyDeleteI voted for the pyre scene cause it was beautifuly shot, almost serene. But I really, really loved first Clarke-Abby scene - it was so intense and brillantly acted. ANd also the scenes of Clarke telling Bellamy to go to Mount Weather and Monty getting caught.
ReplyDeleteI feel a bit depressed actually to watch Clarke fall into an abyss of cynicism and coldness. I guess it's avoidable but it still left a bitter taste in my mouth. I notice that so many people like Lexa but I must be one of the few that think that she is too cynical and rule ridden. I think another approach needs to be taken after 97 years of not being able to defeat the mountain men...perhaps Finn was on to something and he actually managed to establish a truce with the cost of his life. What Clarke is doing to his memory and actions are sad to witness. Grief is a horrible thing and hopefully something good will come out of it all. It broke my heart to witness Clarke break Bellamy's heart...I even have a hard time re-watching the episode because of it (I ALWAYS re-watch them).
ReplyDeleteI chose "other" for that very reason. The look on Bellamy's face was awesome.
ReplyDeleteAlso I liked when Kane told Abby "we are being led by a child too"
I had it down to those two,but I figured that Indra was was away to easy
ReplyDeleteSuch a great episode, as always, and so many great scenes to choose from! I went for the heartbreak and tension of Clarke telling Bell to go to Mount Weather after all. Everyone was just so shocked to see her like this! I am sensing a really strong twist with Clarke building a wall around her not to let herself care about anyone too much now. This "I was being weak" and "love is weakness" stuff is definitely gonna develop her into a grounder-like leader, at least for a while (I'm pretty sure at some point she'll be telling Lexa she was wrong and love was actually strengh or sth). Also gotta give it to the writers, they're handling Bellarke in the most perfect way right now. It's like the perfect compromise between giving the fans what they want and keeping it realistic after Finn's death. Bellarke foreshadowing in the entire episode was obvious but very subtle, I loved it. Also sending Bell away gives more time - for Clarke to get over Finn and for Bell to get his own storyline.
ReplyDeleteOther scenes I loved included Clarke and Lexa talk weakness, the alliance dinner gone wrong and the Monty stuff. Shit at Mount Weather is just about to get real now.
I totally like Kane the most of the grown-ups. He would make a perfect chancellor. Abby is just getting on my nerves.
ReplyDeleteI find Kane one of the most intriguing of the characters. In season 1, that was between Octavia, Lincoln, Anya, and him for me. I like how he has changed the most out of all the adults and I look forward to seeing if he continues to let Clarke lead or whether the adults are going to attempt to take back control at some point. I also want to see at least one scene between Jaha and him.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love characters who change, but do it gradually. For me Octavia is kind of like Arya in GoT - little girl turned badass warrior that everyone loves but I just don't get the appeal of. I much prefer Bellamy who started out as a character I hated, through a character I started to sympathize with to a character that I love to pieces. At this point I am still intrigued about Murphy and what becomes of him. I used to like Anya much more than Lexa, now Lexa is taking the lead. But really, this show has so many great characters it's hard to name the favorites, especially when characters develop and change or new ones are brought in.
