  1. Happy for Sarah Shahi. Very, very bummed about Shaw. I am going to miss her terribly. :(

  2. Sarah Shahi/Shaw was such an integral part to the team and I'm going to miss seeing her interactions with the team. I would love to see her return again in the near future, even if it's to help out on missions for an episode or so. That would be awesome to see.

  3. I would be happy just to see her even if she's a desk jockey in Finch's lair. I vividly remember the time two years ago, when she was first cast as a recurring character slated for some episodes. And then Relevance hit the TV screens and everything changed.

I'm really happy for Sarah but I'm gonna miss my little grumpy Shaw so badly!

  5. I'll miss Sarah and Shaw. I'm happy for her, though. :)

Makes me wonder what way they will wrap Shaw up. It seemed to me like she was dead for sure but the promo implies uncertainty, as does the interview. Would they leave it open for like two years (Sarah said that would be a realistic timeframe)? I'm not sure. Might be she survives but stays heavily injured and then accepts she has to stay somewhere safe. I thought it was a great exit, though. Very emotional, perfectly done.

I don't know, I need to organize my thoughts. Next week's episode will probably shed some light on it.

  6. I did not know Sarah was pregnant. This "departure" makes sense now, as I didn't know Sarah was in the same boat of wanting to move on the television(ironically, Taraji is back on television though, but what are you gonna do...). I don't think Shaw is dead now, but I think she could bite the bullet the moment Team Machine actually rescues her in a bittersweet moment, but actually giving time for Root and Shaw to spend just a few moments telling each other their feelings. Reese and Carter had that moment so why can't Shoot?

  7. In my mind, I have this slim hope that she will make an explosive return in the first episode after the mid season break of S5. Maybe it's just my coping mechanism to digest her absence.

I am also a bit worried about the individual numbers story line. The team looks a bit thin. Root is more involved with the big picture (Machine mythology) but Shaw (and Carter) used to be very much involved in the numbers of the week and now that both are gone, it sort of leaves a hole in the narrative of the show. I wonder how the writers are going to make a seamless transition to a new dynamic. They did it very well after Carter's death. Let's hope they are successful this time too after Shaw's exit.
