I'm not a fan of the whole rebooting thing. I agree that it's better than salvation because Arnold is in it, but that's all. It just feels like almost every reboot out there, a futile attempt to milk a cow for all its worth. It's on my straight to Blu-ray list.
that's the beauty of the Terminator franchise though: it's not a reboot.
It starts out in the well known Terminator future with John sending Kyle back, then the timeline is disrupted and a new timeline begins. It's basically like Terminator: SCC in that sense, always creating a new timeline.
I know... and as someone who's always enjoyed the movies and a huge TSCC fan, I was realy looking forward to this, but then the first trailer came out and I HATED it. I mean, mess up with anything after Terminator 1, but don't destroy the foundation where everything that we've liked over the years was built upon. I get that when time travel is involved almost everything is relative, but I just can't get behind this and I've tried, that's why I keep on watching every trailer and tv spot that comes out, I want to like it. I don't know... I'll watch it because it's terminator, but I won't waste my money on a movie ticket unless it gets raving reviews.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So many superbowl movie spots. I like it.
ReplyDeleteWow, this gets worst with every new trailer...
ReplyDeletehow? It looks fine...as long as Arnold's in I'm fine
