I had no idea Channing was going to play Gambit, I don't know what to think about that, except that I would never imagine him as Remy. Ever.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm guessing Gambit will be introduced in X-Men Apocalypse with the Gambit movie picking up immediately afterwards then? (Since they're 4 months apart)
ReplyDeleteMore intrigued for Deadpool to be honest. Please don't fail me FOX.
This new FF makes me shakes my head every time I read about it.
ReplyDeleteI still don't get why they recasted Gambit...Taylor Kitsch was perfect. :/
ReplyDeleteWOW! Really amazing schedule!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I have to wait more than a year for Batman v Superman. Watched Man of Steel last weekend quite enjoyed it.
2016 will be a bombastic year. with Xmen, Suicide Squad, Sinister six and B vs S!
Me too! No clue why they are doing it? I quite enjoyed the first movie.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I like Channing Tatum as gambit he definitely is no Remy how is he going to pull off the sexy cajun accent! Taylor kitsch is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey lose the rights if they don't use them for a certain number of years. Thus the industry has been known to force production of some films just to retain the rights they don't want to return.
ReplyDeleteThe infamous example is the 1994 Fantastic Four movie that has never been officially released (but leaked out anyway). It was enough to keep the rights despite not being released however:

I do think Chaning Tatum can pull it off. But don't get why they did not keep Taylor Kitsch, he was fit so well.
ReplyDeleteI do NOT want Channing playing Gambit. Bring back Taylor b/c Channing is the wrong person to play Gambit. Isn't there another character Channing could play?
ReplyDeleteI believe Green Lantern is indeed going to be a founder, his solo movie just comes later on. It may not be Hal though. Leaks have suggested they may be going for John Stewart over Hal Jordan.
ReplyDeleteBoth, and the direction they are taking with the plot doesn't sound so good, either.
ReplyDeleteWell the cast is at least made up of capable skilled actors.
ReplyDeleteReally? That's sort of surprising. On the one hand Hal is pretty much the favourite Lantern of DC and has always been a founder so that's why I thought Hal. But I'd get it (and be fine) if they go with Stewart. Since the original GL movie flopped and Stewart's pretty popular and even decently well-known amongst some non comic fans thanks to the DCAU.
ReplyDeleteFF they are sure sure they are getting 2 movies?.
ReplyDeleteCurrently yes. But if the first movie bombs then they'll probably cancel the sequel.
ReplyDeleteProblem is they are completely messing up the character origins. Sue and Johnny are supposed to be brother and sister after all (both white in the comics, and the previous Fantastic Four movies).
ReplyDeleteWhy Tatum?!?! I really liked Taylor Kitsch as Gambit...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not happy with Channing as Gambit. He's not broody or moody enough. I like him just fine but I just don't see him as Gambit. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Channing is doing the movie.. is because he is considered a big star with numerous hits under his belt...while unfortunately...Taylor Kitsch..rightly or wrongly...in the studios eyes anyway.... has his face & name attached to two recent Hollywood bombs. It's called Show business..for a very good reason..and if your a person who the big studios think can't draw people to a movie theater..your career as a big time movie actor... will be short lived.
ReplyDeleteThe sad truth.
ReplyDeleteHe's too big. Taylor Kitsch was perfect.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Four 2? Is this some kind of joke?
ReplyDeleteFantastic Four and now Gambit, I'm not going to see in theaters. I'm am beyond pissed about the casting choices. Thanks for ruining my freaking character! Seriously. Channing needs to sell his ass off with this role. Smmfh!!
ReplyDeleteI know why he's doing it, I understand why the studios went that route. I simply don't like it.
ReplyDeleteI was excited bout 2015 movie season but seeing as there is only 3 superhero films this yr i say screw it lol for i'm looking forward to 2016.17.18 bc those 3 yrs of my life will be busy watching all those superhero films :).
ReplyDeleteThe messed up The Amazing Spiderman but having Uncle Ben alive when in the comics he is suppose to be dead and yet the movie was a success lol
ReplyDeleteThis the same question i asked when they announced sequels for the Terminator Gynesis lol
ReplyDeleteSame concept with the Terminator Genisys film lol
ReplyDeleteI'm getting frustrated with the constant rebooting crap. There needs to be a minimum amount of time passing before studios can hit reset and recast. If they reuse the same villain and/or retell the origin story, that minimum time doubles (I'm looking at you Batman and Spiderman).
ReplyDeletenah, that's not brood-y and hacker-y enough to make him appeal to CW girlies -,-
ReplyDeleteLmao
ReplyDeletewould be hillarious if the Sony-hack was actually a marketing gag for F4 gone wrong.
ReplyDeleteNow even Obama is part of the issue xD
Same. But I am still really excited for Avengers Aou this year. I might become excited for ant man based on the trailer we get tonight
ReplyDelete2016 is gonna be AWESOME. All 8 comicbook movies in one year!!!
ReplyDeleteI know man :). They're most likely half siblings or adopted. Even then as long as it doesn't mess up how their interact (which I doubt it will) I think it'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteYou and a whole bunch of other people.....but.imagine how poor Taylor Kitsch must feel!
ReplyDeleteThe actor who could relate to Kitsch's situation...is Justin Hartley.
He played Green Arrow for years on Smallville.. only to see the CW start up a solo Green Arrow show.. starring Stephen Amell...instead of him.
