    Agreed!! That was my first thought when seeing the preview! I really wish Scott loved the show as much as we love him on it. No other show has a main character in and out. It's frustrating! I feel like so many wasted episodes the last couple of years! :(

    I've never read anything official except for things like he's doing a play, filming movies, book signings, lives in LA....etc. A part of me wishes that Scott had never signed on with H50 in the first place if he didn't have his heart in it. He made us all fall in love with MCDanno and then starts disappearing. :(

    But also the writers I the past couple of years has really butchered Steve and Danny. Steve is such a nasty and bullying jerk. Danno is a whiner. Chin has had to step up while Kono is invisible. Due to the actress having a baby in real life.

    I thought it was because of his paternity leave? He hasn't been in and out of the show until recently, and it falls in place with him becoming a father.

    It was the same last year. There were many episodes that Scott was absent or minimally seen. I actually hoped it was going to be better this year when they started the season with the storyline about his brother, but that actually led to shows without him at all. :( I'm only complaining because I think he is such a great actor and the McDanno chemistry is the main reason I love the show.

    The reason why he signed was last minute he signed the contract 2 days later he was in Hawaii filming. And like what Lynn said and I have been saying is that he is one very busy man

    Don't forget Grace she was barely seen in the first half of S4 because she just had a baby so it's the same with Scott. Not everybody lives in Hawaii only Daniel & Alex are pernament residents in Hawaii.

    Scott has other obligations this year he wrote a Book he's had booksignings he's working with his production company on a movie and CBS is more than willing to give him the time he needs to pursue these other projects he's not going anywhere don't worry
