The Hobbit actor will join NBC’s Hannibal in Season 3 in the terrifying role of Francis Dolarhyde (aka The Tooth Fairy). The main villian of Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon, one book in the series on which Hannibal is based, the hulking Dolarhyde is a serial killer with a set of chompers that would make the Big Bad Wolf a little envious. He is set to appear in 6 episodes.

Wow that is amazing, now we need Lee Pace's involvement to be confirmed and its a Hobbit reunion.
ReplyDeletePoor Richard, he seems to get villain roles a lot.
ReplyDeleteWoah, this show always has the best casting! I'm impressed. Loved Richard in The Hobbit! And with a name like The Tooth Fairy, I can already tell I'll be majorly terrified of him.
ReplyDeleteYay my sexy Thorin
ReplyDeleteWe're going to meet the Tooth Fairy! So excited!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! He's a brilliant actor.
ReplyDeleteI need him to have a decent American accent and to bulk up, otherwise I'm happy with the casting, he's a great actor.
ReplyDeleteGreat casting,can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAwesome casting news! This should (finally!) bring the show to people's attention...
ReplyDeleteMay not be a happy reunion though, Elves and Dwarves hate each other haha :P
ReplyDeleteExcept for Legolas and Gimli.
ReplyDeleteWell I wouldn't say they were friends though, there was always a rivalry between them. They kinda just tolerated each other.
ReplyDeleteSeason 3 and the red dragon part is gonna freak me out so very much.
ReplyDeleteBy the end they were friends.
ReplyDeleteHe definitely has the presence and menace down to play a villain like this. This should be good.
ReplyDeleteWatch your back, Freddie Lounds. The Tooth Fairy is coming. :)
ReplyDeleteThey become bosom buddies over the course of their adventures. Even sail off to the Undying Lands together.
ReplyDeleteI could literally not have gotten any better Hannibal news than this.
ReplyDeleteLoooooooove Richard!
ReplyDeleteNice casting! Can't wait to see some of the other characters cast too!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Just need to have Lee Pace in this like burning.
ReplyDeleteI only saw him on S1 of Strike Back till he was killed in S2 of the show lol. Now if only Andrew Lincoln guest starred then it be a Strike Back reunion but it won't happen since Andrew is committed to TWD
ReplyDeleteEvery time i think this show can't do better, i'm proved wrong!
ReplyDeleteThis casting choice is just impeccable!
I'm so excited about season 3. Can we have an airdate now, please?
