  1. I could not agree more ! I discovered it two weeks before the finale, and I have loved every single episode. It's smart, fun, and the characters are great. And honestly, the ratings are pretty good for TNT, so...C'mon, renew it !!!

  2. I dont watch TNT shows all that much, are those good numbers for TNT/Librarians? I really like this series. The double eps for the past 3weeks feel like they're burning it off. Hope it gets renewed.

  3. It's an increase from last week so I'll take.

  4. That's just embarrassing for Looking.
I still have no idea why TNT has been double pumping The Librarians.

  5. Looking gets most of its audience from HBO Go and L+7.

  6. With TNT's "push for darker and edgier programming" I could see The Librarians being cancelled with those numbers (Rizolli and Isles is too much of a beast to not be renewed). I hope it isn't though. Not bad at all for Shameless and Girls.

  7. Nothing embarassing about it. It's a great show, not a first great show with low ratings.
Last year was a little bit better, because show had better lead in with True Detective and Girls. I hope HBO will keep this little show on the air.

  8. Yeah, it's little, but increase. I wonder if Togetherness poor lead in?
Still hope HBO will keep Looking on the air. It's very good show.

  9. Girls was not too far down from last year and it had True Detective's lead-in. HBO was wise to renew it before its season premiere..

Shameless is a steady performer. Like Girls, Showtime was wise to renew it before its season premiere.

  10. I think someone at TNT doesn't want it to be renewed since they are trying for darker edgier programming but with the ratings it has and the fanbase it's built up so quickly I don't think they'll have a choice but to renew it. I'd be really shocked if it was cancelled.

  11. I don't think Togetherness is the best lead in. I thought Girls was the perfect lead in for Looking last season but the ratings were still meh.

Definitely want to see the numbers HBO has for the Live+7.

  12. hoping that revenge doesn't adjust down so that it will have a better chance of getting a 1.1 next week.

  13. This show never going to have high ratings, but I am really surprised why ratings doubled down from last year's final episodes. It looked like show had steady audience. Buzz is mostly positive and most people who watched it are still excited. So strange.
Did HBO ever published last years's Live+7 ratings? I couldn't find it anywhere.

  14. Revenge hardly ever adjusts, so i am guessing it will keep its 0.9

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, the ratings didn't start increasing last year until episode 4 so I'm hoping they increase with each episode.

No, I think the only reference HBO made to weekly numbers for Looking was that it was bringing in 2 mill last year when everything was counted.

  16. Is there a reason why more than half of the shows don't have ANY ratings listed?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, I hope those numbers didn't change. I find it refreshing that HBO is not obsessed with ratings, and they care about LGBT projects, so I hope this show will stay on the air. I never followed ratings before, and I see project like House of Lies is on it's fourth season, and I bet it's much more expensive show, while ratings are still pretty low. I guess cable have special approach to those things.

  18. Revenge hardly ever adjusts cause it usually gets the same rating in both half hours. but this time its half hours were 0.9/0.8

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thank god revenge stayed and even Rose in viewers

    ReplyDelete
  20. Revenge kept its 0.9 and Rose to a 4.09 in the finals

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good now it has a chance of rising next week

  22. We'll add the Broadcast Ratings in as soon as we get them.

    They have been updated.

  23. Series high for Mulaney, whaaat?

    ReplyDelete
  24. lol.. Mulaney was the 2nd highest rated series in the key demo on Sunday. Don't think FOX ever expected that

  25. In the past, those types of numbers have been good enough for renewal from TNT, so I would say yes. With the caveat that it's not clear yet if the low water mark will be the same for the current regime.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes i hope so. The viewing of the promo on youtube is way higher than the last two weeks

    ReplyDelete
  27. Here's a question - was the Librarians greenlit by the current regime or the prior regime? That could also impact it - because even if they want edgier programming, I could see them carving out a few exceptions. On Sundays, it could work as counter programming to some of the edgier stuff already on cable that night.

  28. The Librarians showed itself week after week to be exciting and unique. I don't understand why the numbers are what they are - do people really like to watch awards shows? Hate them, don't get it, don't get why The Librarians wouldn't be renewed.

    so agree :)

  31. The Librarians did great. I really hope the execs are paying attention and renew this series.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My understanding is they were double pumping #TheLibrarians for a few reasons....they had a short season due to "last minute" pick up, wanted to finish season without having to compete with shows/sports, like the Super Bowl and Emmy Awards, and they needed time to film/produce more episodes for "when" (power of positive thinking ;) ) it is renewed for Season 2 :) We are talking TNT LOL who have also gone through some changes.....

  33. I watch with my nephew, its a great family show!

  34. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaalavant such a good & clever show....its a shame people are not watching!

Each and every episode of The Librarians had its moments of excitement, comedy and fantasy. Other shows are basically the same each week. But The Librarians (similar to Leverage) has the same characters acting in different parts or sub characters which means it's always a surprise on what is going to happen. No other show is like this. The writers seem to know what is going to hold our attention for an entire hour, or sometimes two hours. I have not been disappointed yet with this show and am hopeful there will be a Season 2. I love to be able to leave the real world for just a little while and enter a dimension of fantasy.
