Empire keeps killing it, both live and time shifted.
ReplyDeleteThe premiere climbed to 5.6 on Live+7, to reach 5.9 on Live+3 only suggests that the show will keep on growing from here onwards
I've finally watched it and I like it, so I guess the growth sprout has caught up with me as well!
ReplyDeleteEmpire is such a beast! I wouldn't be surprised if we see another increase in this weeks episode. So damn happy for Taraji. She deserves this :)
ReplyDeleteWill it increase again
ReplyDeleteI going yes!
You too? The snowball effect is huge! At this rate Empire is going to catch up with me too!
ReplyDeleteIf it grows just like it did from week 2 to 3, we can expect a 4.8, possibly becoming the highest rated scripted show of the week, ahead of TBBT. It's mindblowing how huge of a hit this is! Bigger than How to get away with Murder or Scandal!
ReplyDeleteWOW, topping TBBT? That would be insane! Who would have thought that Empire would be such a huge achievement for FOX? They really needed this after the not so good Fall season they had.
ReplyDeleteBiggest surprise of this season!!Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWatch, now I bet next year or the year after there's going to be a ton of copycat shows.
ReplyDeleteIt is not my favorite new show or anything but I thought it was quite enjoyable. Although the music is not my style it fit surprisingly very very well. The biggest draw however is Taraji. She is just insanely good and she will probably get some award recognition next year as a result of what she is doing here. And the writing is great, they have some really compelling storylines.
ReplyDeleteOverall I would probably rank it like this in terms of new shows that I am watching this year (keep in mind that this is still a changing thing, but well):
1. How to Get Away with Murder
2. The Flash
3. The Affair
4. Madam Secretary
5.|6.|7. Stalker | Scorpion | Empire
8. Gotham
I'm surprised you have Madam Secretary ranked so high.
ReplyDeleteBut the rest (with the exception of Scorpion) are my top new shows of the season as well.
I want to see a 5.0
ReplyDeleteIt'd be the first time a broadcast drama has hit that height in years.
I really enjoy Madam Secretary. Do you watch it? I thought the pilot was very meh but I have since then grown very attached to the show. I really enjoy Elizabeth and I find most cases very interesting. I also like the way they mix up her professional life with her personal one.
ReplyDeleteI watched the pilot and didn't come back. Maybe I should check it out again?
ReplyDeleteI think you should. The pilot is my least favorite episode of the series and I felt by far the weakest. I suggest you give it a try especially now that you know it will be around ;)
