January 11, 2015 (Pasadena, CA) — The CW Network has picked up eight of its current series for the 2015-2016 season, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, during the network’s session at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. ReplyDeleteYay Arrow, yay The Flash, yay TVD, yay The Originals, and yay The 100!
ReplyDeleteOH MY, I really thought they were ending TVD this season, what a relieve!!!! So happy as well for The 100, The Originals and Reign
ReplyDeleteWow, CW. Wow.
ReplyDeleteGo CW!
ReplyDeleteThey've been on a roll this season!
I was praying for The 100+Reign+Jane but i never thought that would actually happen
ReplyDeleteYaaaaay!!
ReplyDeleteSo we were probably right when we posted about Jane and flash earlier. They wanted to wait to announce it. Suck it bear!
ReplyDeleteI am so relieved Reign got renewed!! HELLS YEAH BITCHES!!
ReplyDeleteAlso Flash and Arrow, I mean, can it get any better?
Oh i really thought Reign was a gonner, I'm so glad it's not
ReplyDeleteYes The 100!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW. So almost every show they have on air.
ReplyDeleteThe 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat´s insane, 8 shows, some with poor ratings, but happy for all the fans of these shows, god, are there other shows in the CW, because it seems they´ve renewed everything they had :P
ReplyDeleteHOLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SHITTTTTTTTTTTTT!
ReplyDeleteCW DOMINATION! THESE BITCHES ARE KICK ASS!
GOT A FEELING THIS WILL LEAD TOWARDS NEW AIR SLOTS!
That only leaves HoD,BatB,TM and iZombie
ReplyDeleteI still thik iZombie will be renewed
and Reign
ReplyDeleteWhy did they renew Reign,The 100 before seeing how IZombie,Messengers do?I guess this leaves BatB,HoD,Messngers,IXombie as cancelled then?Happy for Reign,Jane,VD
ReplyDeleteBest news ever, all of my shows are renewed! Thanks CW for making my year!
ReplyDeleteReign is renewed too
ReplyDeleteHoD,BatB,TM and iZombie are still left.
ReplyDeleteHas CW ever renewed so many shows together?
ReplyDeleteOMGGGG http://i39.tinypic.com/2echzwo.gif REIGN, THE 100, JTV THAT'S FANTASTIC NEWS!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy right now!! The 100!!!
ReplyDeleteHas CW ever renewed shows this early?
ReplyDeleteso we can asume HoD and BaTB are ending this season and only one of the two new shows will be save?
ReplyDeleteMy most pressing matter is...: how will they schedule next year with their new shows? Because some shows must have to be let for midseason.

So it might be possible that one or more of these will go to summer.
I’m so happy for The 100! This literally made my day! Thank you so much, this show is brilliant and only getting better and better, it certainly deserved a 3rd season <3
ReplyDeleteREIGN! YES, YES, YES!
ReplyDeleteThe 100 will most likely be a shorter season again, dunno about others.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think The CW is done with renewals now?
ReplyDeleteThe only show that has a chance is iZombie but I don't see it happening tbh
YAY for all my favourite shows :D:D:D:D:D:D:D The 100, Arrow, Supernatural, Reign and The Originals :D:D:D:D:D:D Can't wait to see what they will come with next!!!! Hope the 100 will get the whole season with 22 episodes!!!
ReplyDeleteSPN going strong. Excellent
ReplyDeleteI don't Rember but it's been Feb for the past few years.I guess them having a show nominated for GG mde them feel generous
ReplyDeleteYES!!!! THE 1OO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think everyone is getting a full 22. We know the 100 won't. Neither will reign. I can see TVD doing a shorrible final season.
ReplyDeletethe100! HELLYEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShowrunners don't want full seasons for The 100
ReplyDeleteGood for TO, but it's kind of obvious decision.
ReplyDeleteI was preparing to say goodbye to Reign and hello to The Messengers. CW decided differently.
Messengers was dead the minute it got a Fri slit.Only IXombie has a shot
ReplyDeleteI hope so. Only because that will mean I zombie has a chance. Wonder if they will announce HoD is ending today?
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily, especially if they are opening up Summer slots
ReplyDeleteyeah, thers really no room for more renewals unless a lot of shows are short seasons.I agree IZombie has a chsnce
ReplyDeleteAmazing this info is coming out so early. Thanks CW for keeping me from anxiety over The 100. Some of these must be going to shortened seasons or summer though because they don't have room on the schedule.
ReplyDeleteWould they have said if any of those shows will be ending next year? I mean, would they have announced some shows as their final season or something?
ReplyDeleteThat could be in the press release later.
ReplyDeleteBATB scheduled for late May- early June. According to TVLINE.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily. There's still a lot of time between now and Winter / Spring 2016, so anything could really happen. I don't even watch any of these shows (or anything on The CW) but I know these shows are hugely popular with members of the site so I'm glad to see so many renewals
ReplyDeleteOmgyay for everything yes yes yes I'm excited
ReplyDeleteNope, they are not:
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/TVGuide/status/554346101109956608
Well, at least they got renewed.
ReplyDeletewow I like this CW on drugs lol
ReplyDeleteNot if they become summer shows. The CW has been searching for ways to keep the network going in summer.
ReplyDeleteHoD will not necessarily end:
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/TVGuide/status/554346101109956608
The 100 :'( renewed
ReplyDeleteI think it´s safe to say that The CW is the best network ever :P
ReplyDeleteiZombie still has an excellent chance. They wouldn't have moved Supernatural and put it in the plush post-Flash slot if they didn'y think it could do well. TM is dead on arrival though with the crummiest time slot.
ReplyDeleteTo me this says that they are going to have shorter seasons or some shows moved to summer instead of anything about iZombie's chances.
Yes, yes, yes SUPERNATURAL!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD YES!!!!!!! JANE THE VIRGIN, The 100, The FLASH!!!!CAN'T WAIT!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! it can go to Summer like they are doing with BaTB or they will keep it on fridays as a mid season show. It can work either way, right¿?
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm a big fan of Supernatural, Arrow, TVD, The Originals, and The Flash, I'm beyond thrilled that The 100 gets a third season! Squee! It's my favorite CW show right now. Again I say squee!
ReplyDeletehow do you know?
ReplyDeleteI hope The 100 doesn't get shifted to Summer, although we already know it does well there it seems a bit high budget to keep there. I just want a long wait between season 2 and 3!
ReplyDeleteI think they are going to experiment with shorter seasons for a lot of shows. However there's still the chance that they are going to move some to summer fare. I highly doubt they would go into the season with no new shows, so they are going to have to make some shorter.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Reign definitely and maybe JtV become shortened season shows just like The 100.
ReplyDeleteThe 100!!! All I care about! Ha to the people saying it was so going to get cancelled because there wasn't a panel at the TCA for it. Just ha to all the haters acting like we were stupid for having hope it would get renewed. I knew there was a good chance because it's doing so good digitally, wordlwide, and all the critical acclaim it's getting. Plus the fanbase keeps growing.
ReplyDeleteI won't complain no matter what. It got renewed.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to shove it in TVBTN's face lol They had it's chances at 30%
ReplyDeleteWow that's amazing
ReplyDeleteOne may be going full bipolar iZombie fan (sorry Messenger fans) IT MUST SURVIVE
ReplyDeleteSO happy for Jane the Virgin! Not surprised after the Golden Globe noms, but still relieved! Supernatural is just going to be the show that can't be killed...
ReplyDeleteThey said in interviews and this season CW wanted a full season but the showrunners said no
ReplyDeleteNot going to happen. They need more shows with shortened seasons, not extended seasons for shows with already shortened seasons.
ReplyDeleteI'M SO HAPPY FOR THE 100 AND REIGN! I was worried about them!!!
ReplyDeleteThey renewing everything makes me think they haven't been too impressed with the pilot season so far. I only watch Supernatural so that's the only one I care about.
ReplyDeleteMessengers is OFFICIALLY dead now. No way is it coming back. Ah well, one likes one and dones.
ReplyDeleteU can´t really blame them, what the CW did was insane, but it´s awesome :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, The CW exec said that some will be midseason and others would be summer. They're just trying to beef up their scripted slate right now.
ReplyDeleteI won't bother watching now. What's the point knowing it will get cancalled?
ReplyDeleteI can finish binge watching the 100 wirh a great feeling now. Also i love the flash and arrow
ReplyDeleteI love them so much right now haha :D
ReplyDeleteHow Reign got renewed escapes me. I swear to god if iZombie gets canned for this POS I will go loco crazy.
ReplyDeleteRatngs VD could get a full season.Reign may get a full season too as its doing better than BaTB was,
ReplyDeleteHa yes. lol :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't count out the other shows just yet. With the way networks are splintering seasons, they could get any kind of order - a short order of 8 or 13 episodes, maybe all new programming for summer...
ReplyDeleteYou really want a long wait between seasons 2 and 3? Or you *don't* want a long wait?
ReplyDeleteThe CW managed to get them to 16 this season though, they might push harder for more episodes in S3 although i think 16 or 18 episodes is perfect for The 100
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy there are no words to describe this I'm happy for all the fans the shows Tim the happiest for is the 100 I was starting get worried.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. Even when they've renewed in February, it's only been the stronger ratings performers.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can just imagine the dream schedules now. I really hope iZombie makes it. Also I hope HART OF DIXIE makes it too. If reign can, so can Dixie Right? I mean they are airing it during Feb sweeps.
ReplyDeleteI take it back @Brandy Danforth . One was wrong. Screenshot this, one does not admit one was wrong often.
ReplyDeleteSorry I meant I don't :P fixed, thanks!
ReplyDeleteTrue.I just them to be renewd in May if Messengers,IZombie failed.I expected them to be on the bubble til May
ReplyDeleteBecause it dropped like a rock during its season. It fell, I think, 67% in the demo from premiere to finale, while Hart of Dixie had a steadier audience while starting out lower.
ReplyDeleteMe too @Bandy Danforth. You may have been a tad too aggressive for my taste but Reign was renewed.
ReplyDeleteThat's a plus actually. Knowing its dead makes me far more interested as I know its done by the end. Unlike TTP which I did have hope for.
ReplyDeleteFor real
ReplyDeleteKind of reminds you of a certain Reign event, doesn't it.... o_O
ReplyDeleteI will dance on iZombie's grave if that happens.
ReplyDeleteWhich was right by typical TV formula. The CW is always the hardest to judge because they do things counter to raings intuition. My guess is this means they are switching to year-round programming so someof these will move to summer, something TVbtN doesn't really track. They are also likely to have shortened seasons for some shows, giving them more flexibility in their schedule than has been calculated for earlier.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the same. Which means we may see another season of BatB and HoD....Maybe. Which would be nice.
ReplyDelete30 was a bit harsh though, its pretty much been at 50 all seasons imo
ReplyDeleteWhat has iZombie got to do NOT to get renewed? I say stay above 0.7 or so apparently.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like pure BS.
ReplyDeleteSPN is becoming longest scifi/fantasy US show ever. Next year - quite of few Guinness Records are coming!
ReplyDeleteHappy for Jane and T100! Wow, but wow. CW is on steroids today or something.
Also wondering if Reign may get a short order or a summer order - though I doubt they can get back to production that soon...
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone think CW might have got Sundays back but they keep it secret or something? #MyStupidConspiracyTheories
ReplyDeleteExcuse you? o_O
ReplyDeleteSo happy all the shows I watch are being renewed, especially Reign which I was so uncertain would be
ReplyDeleteIt's ok
ReplyDeleteIf I could place a bet on it, I'd say Reign gets 13 episodes for spring or summer of 2016.
ReplyDeleteIts ok
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this if nobody else does. I MISS NIKITA.
ReplyDeleteTHE 100 GOT RENEWED HELL YES I AM ECSTATIC RN IT REALLY DESERVES IT :D All the promoting we did paid off :D I'm really happy for the shows as well! :)
ReplyDeletePedowitz just said no plans to expend on Saturdays/Sundays, neither 10pms.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible, but unlikely. Pedowitz said:
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/TVGuide/status/554350365278470145
I disagree. They already finished filming the season, didn't they? The might not be able to "end": it.
ReplyDeleteCW Doomsday is more like the launch of a new network. I do think The CW will be renewed also
ReplyDeleteMoreclikley some -Reign,The 190 maybe Jane -will have shorter seasons or some shows will air in summer
ReplyDeleteThe 100! SO excited!
ReplyDeleteAny guesses on which ones will be summer? They could put the 2nd half of The 100 in late spring/summer like it's first season was since it performed well there.
ReplyDeleteNot as far as my memory serves!
ReplyDeleteThey have zero chance getting Sundays back until their scripted fare does a lot better than what the affiliates currently air. Many networks actually see declining ratings when the CW airs their stuff. In St. Louis, TBBT reruns used to have higher demos than several CW newly aired shows put together.
ReplyDeleteOne last little tick in the box needed. Gina go get that Golden Globe and make this the best day in network history.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Flash and Arrow get renewed I'm happy (as if there was ever a question of it!). I'm not too surprised about the other renewals, though. I figured TVD would get another season, (which I will most likely watch and continue to complain about!), and it looks like Reign will continue to be my guilty pleasure of choice! Congrats to fans of Supernatural. The longevity of that show continues to impress me.
ReplyDeleteI'm really thankful to The CW for renewing The 100. I'm over the moon right now :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they are going to fit all these shows into the schedule, but this pretty much looks as The CW serving the fans overall; Reign, Jane and The 100 don't have the best ratings and still have their way to syndication, so renewing the three of them alltogether shows a deeply care for the fans of these shows and the stories they provide.
Kudos to The CW for making this awesome move!
I can though. They didn't take into account it's digital and worldwide sucess, nor it's huge online fanbase. Most importantly, the critical acclaim. When everyone tried to tell him that Jane would be renewed because it got Golden Globe nominations, he said none of that matters, lol. This was before he was saying Jane would be renewed.
ReplyDeleteLook at BATB getting renewed last season even with it getting 0.3s. CW doesn't go JUST by numbers.
He should have said it was on the bubble, not the least likely to get renewed with only a 30% chance.
Yep, it does. I think they should have just announced season 4 as the final season, so they could wrap it up. Not that I watch the show, but it would be fair to the fans.
ReplyDeleteTrue, should we take this as a sign that the 3rd of the trio that was holding out signed on?
ReplyDeleteI think we won't hear anything about episode order until upfronts.
I love CW!Most unpredictable network ever!
ReplyDeleteJust thought, WTF is the bear going to do now? XD
ReplyDeleteYay! All my CW shows have been renewed so far. :)
ReplyDeleteEat himself/herself as food!
ReplyDeleteI expected them to be bubble status, too. At least that's one less thing I'll need to worry about during the upfronts.
ReplyDeleteIf FOX can't/couldn't get 10 p.m, then, neither will CW.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers. The iZombie seem like tasteful meals.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Beauty and the Beast.
oh enjoy. The 100 is just going to get better.
ReplyDeleteThe bear never goes hungry. :-P There's plenty for him to eat on other networks. The biggest question is what are they going to talk about on their weekly updates until March.
ReplyDeleteWell he has three shows (bit of a diet?)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a great feelign to watch the rest of the shows this season without having to worry about ratings? :) I couldn't fully enjoy The 100 because I was so scared.
ReplyDeleteI think this was a great way to show viewers that they care. I don't think renewal specifics are in place yet and probably won't be until May. So by saying all fall shows renewed for Fall, spring and summer they covered their bases so when upfronts roll around and they have finally worked out slotting and episode orders, it's like they had a real plan all along.
ReplyDeleteSo happy! Thank god no more wars between fans of CW
ReplyDeleteiZombie will survive. If Reign gets renewed at 0.3-0.5 iZombie will be with its acclaim and 0.7-1.0's (lbh, its going to be SEXY)
ReplyDeleteArrow/100/Flash/SPN/TO: yay
ReplyDeleteTVD: makes sense I guess
Reign: how?
I don't think he's getting iZombie. I think he's getting The Messengers, BatB and possibly Heart of Dixie. How close is that last one to syndication?
ReplyDeleteI suppose HOD will be filling a lot of headlines XD
ReplyDeleteGreat news, I happy for most of the shows (The 100 yes).
ReplyDeleteOf course, this renewal automatically implies that contract negotiation went through, what ever the episode count may be.
ReplyDeleteNeed for summer fare for year-round programming?
ReplyDeleteGo cry in a corner and wait for other shows. Im sure He will be ready for Reign next year tho. he had his claws ready but couldnt!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's the one that confuses me. Not that I'm not happy, but I am confused.
ReplyDeleteI hold a personal grude.He/she called me delusional with a personal tweet when i stated JtV will be renewed.
ReplyDeleteHart of Dixie has ended.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! It is a wonderful feeling :D
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers gets the first heading due to its unfortunate time slot?
ReplyDeleteThey'll find a way!
ReplyDeleteMaybe? Or maybe they'll switch it to Fridays next year, hoping it can hold it's ratings there.
ReplyDeleteHoD and The Messengers still waiting on the wings
ReplyDeleteHoD has officially wrapped up months ago!
ReplyDeleteHope it´s the usual 22. Less could mean final season.
ReplyDeleteHappy for Arrow an The Flash + Supernatural renewal cool too, but I want S11 to be the last
ReplyDeleteProbably CBS' politics going in the backseat.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. I don't take it personally, hes a character, like one is. Seriously, if I spoke/acted like this in real life I would have been smacked with a rather large frying pan.
ReplyDeletevery likely but still it's kind of confusing given the way it's pretty much giving new shows the axe already
ReplyDeleteYou are so going to love what's to come of The 100 :). And now we're all secure to that season 3 :D
ReplyDeleteSame, I'm so relieved! With the guarantee of S3 hopefully a lot of people will start the show too
ReplyDeleteI don't care. I love Reign so I'm happy for its renewal.
ReplyDeleteNo it hadn't.lookmbelow, thers a post of Pedowitz saying he's still not confirming this is the last season of Hozd
ReplyDeleteHoD will have 76 episodes at the end of this season
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that there's something for everyone to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteJane, Reign and The 100 fans can finally stop picking at each other and join to rejoice this moment. It is wonderful :D
Cast members, at least, have confirmed that the series had come to a close. I'm assuming Pedowitz informed the show runners that the show was coming to a close.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll try and spin something like 'Will The CW go back on their renewals?'
ReplyDeleteTom Shaw is going to have to eat a very dry crow
ReplyDelete100% pumped about The 100 getting another season. YES LORD
ReplyDeleteOne still has iZombie (though Messenger fans are probably going to be in, uh, smaller numbers)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I'm not sure wether to weep or cheer for it. On the one hand I really don't like Reign, it just rubs me the wrong way with it's history warping and publicity hushing (rape plot) BUT on the other it shows that theCW is about more than just numbers. It pretty much bowed down to Reigns fans despite all odds wich I really can admire. Happy for its fans but still confused
ReplyDeleteThey all had an official wrap up party. It's all over net.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing Reign goes to summer. Possible that Jane the Virgin does as well. Both will get a shortened season if I am reading this right.
ReplyDeleteYeah, sure would make sense if Reign performed better. As summer filler it might be a good pick, HOWEVER we're talking a 0.3-0.4 drama. Hope this turns out well
ReplyDeleteCool. I just think back to OTH season 9, James lafferty was the hold out, eventually signing on but only for a limited amount of episodes. Wondering if this situation will be the same.
ReplyDeleteSame here; it already run on summer with fairly good ratings, so I believe it can live happily ever after there. And as long as it runs, I don't care when!
ReplyDeleteslimming the chances for iZombie, Messengers, BatB and HoD
ReplyDeletei hate that guy.
ReplyDelete
