Shameless' Justin Chatwin is adding another cable project to his résumé.
The actor, who returned to the Showtime dramedy last season, has nabbed the starring role in TNT's drama pilot Breed, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Breed centers on the story of brutal murders in the Pacific Northwest and the mysterious race of creatures who may be committing them. Despite his own mental instability, a gifted detective named Cooper Wells (Chatwin) embarks on the case, employing his expertise with serial killers. But when the perpetrators start to reveal barbaric tendencies of an inhuman nature, Wells is forced to enlist the help of a powerful and alluring female assassin to track them.

Sounds like an interesting premise.
ReplyDeleteWow this sounds really good actually. And Justin Chatwin? I'm in!
ReplyDeleteLet me guess: the "powerful and alluring female assassin" will be his love interest.
ReplyDeleteIt was ok until alluring female assassin came up
ReplyDeletePlot sounds really good
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really good. Just the style of show that I like. I'm partial to the Northwest too so I hope it's filmed there or at least in Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteYou know I am not a fan of romance on my shows but that's a little biased. If they write it as a possible romance from the beginning without all the silly fluff that goes with, how could you be mad? I'm not judging until I see or read a lot more.
ReplyDeleteThey've certainly dressed up the "mental probs detective with will they/won't they leading lady partner" premise with some crazy decorations.
ReplyDeleteOh my Gosh. Why did you know? :)
ReplyDeleteI hate those 'yeah they have a case but real question is will they or won't they' things so I already know that it's not for me.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping this means he can't return to Shameless full time. I really like Justin Chatwin, but his character on Shameless is awful.
