Update 2 11th Feb: A few more photos added.
Update 11th Feb: Photos featuring Tracy Spiridakos added.
After a blissful summer of closeness with his mother, living within the safe confines of home and the Bates Motel, Norman’s fears about what really happened with Blaire Watson resurface and Norma questions what really happened. Forced to look at the truths about Norman for the first time, their deeply intricate relationship continues to evolve. Norma finds herself turning to the other man in her life, Norman’s half-brother, Dylan (Max Thieriot) and begins to rely on him in ways that she never expected. This relationship inevitably triggers jealousy in Norman and a new kind of love triangle between Norma and her two sons erupts.
Estranged brother and uncle, Caleb (Kenny Johnson) returns to haunt the family throughout the season challenging the family bond even further. Pressures of the outside world take a hold of the family when newcomers Kevin Rahm (“Mad Men,” “Desperate Housewives”), Tracy Spiradakos (“Revolution”) and Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy”) arrive at White Pine Bay. After a summer of living at the Bates Motel, Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) and Norma have grown closer but there will always have that troubling question mark surrounding Norman. Something doesn't feel right, but spite of his instincts, Romero finds himself continually drawn back to the Bates family – and to Norma.
Emma (Olivia Cooke) also determined to find out what is happening to Norman becomes more emboldened, fearless, goes after the things she wants. Familiar face, Bradley (Nicola Peltz) returns to surprise the family and digs up old memories.

The million dollar question-Will norman kill norma this season?
ReplyDeleteWet Norman gives me this bad feeling that he's been naughty again.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you're right.I would hate to lose vera so early on!
ReplyDeleteif that ever happens in the show, (you know they have said, that the show wouldn't necessarily end in the beginning of psycho) it would be in the series finale,I don't believe they would dare to get rid of Vera before that.
ReplyDeleteI hope we receive screeners of this soon!
ReplyDeleteA love triangle of sorts between Norma and her sons? O-kay, yeah, THAT won't be explosive at all! Is it bad that I'm really curious to see how that plays out?
ReplyDelete(Also, given that news, right now I'm wanting to tell Romero to run. Run far, far away from this family and never look back. But of course, he won't listen to that kind of advice :p. Oh, what a landmine of a situation setting up...)
Good to hear Emma will still be poking around, too, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the new characters. Sounds like a crazy season setting up-can't wait!
Can't wait for season 3 to start! Only Bates Motel can advertise with "a kind of love triangle between Norma and her two sons" and still make us wanna watch. It's absurdly fascinating to watch these characters interact :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah..I had to drop the show as incest unsettles my stomach
ReplyDeleteN-I-C-O-O-O-L-L-A-A-A!
ReplyDeleteHottest women on the planet. Win/win.
Don't get me wrong,i don't condone it but can't stop watching it either,it's so good!
ReplyDeleteNot judging at all. :) others can handle it better then me.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I'm a by product of my own culture and so incest does make me rather uncomfortable, but also as somebody who enjoys thinking about other cultures, history, and/or sociology and the idea that all cultures tend to have ethnocentric beliefs, I can understand and/or be fascinated by the idea of this kind of family bonding. I give the writers credit for even going there, because it's such a controversial thing and the only other show I know that does that, is Game of Thrones.... After all I don't think it's even been a century where in Europe and America cousins were still marrying each other; keeping blood and money in the family/estate.
ReplyDeleteHowever, what I think is so amusing about this child love-triangle idea, is that there is still also Caleb and Alex to consider as well, let alone what Bradley might spawn for everyone else too! (and of course the new characters...) It looks like things will be incredibly heeded this season!
I think this season may end with Norman killing Dylan.
ReplyDelete!!!! It's gonna be so good!
ReplyDeleteTotally agreed with you on the incest thing. Not my bag, either, in real life. But in fiction, it can be an interesting topic to explore, and this show acknowledges the effed up nature of the concept instead of sidestepping it altogether. And, of course, given this IS the infamous Bates family, it's practically impossible to portray any interaction between them, incest-related or not, and not bring in the messed up aspect of the family dynamics along the way. Plus, like you said, what's frowned upon in one area of the world isn't a big deal elsewhere, and it's a thing that happens in real life, so it makes sense that fiction will tackle the topic sometimes, and it's interesting to see how it plays out as a result.
ReplyDeleteBut indeed, you're absolutely right that there's all these other people they connect with that will further throw things off balance even more than they currently are, too :). Given all the things going on in this crazy town, it's not hard to see why Norma and Norman would be stressed and snapping as they are! And I look forward to seeing how heated things will get.
Yeah, and this time the idea seems a lot of more possible, because now Norman will be jealous of him, and probably from 2 sides, for his relationship with Norma and a potential one with Bradley.
ReplyDeleteThey're gonna do a whole season of Psycho. Norma can die and still be a presence in the show via Norman's mind.
ReplyDeletehow do you know that??, I've never heard about a whole season of psycho.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the season 1 finale where Norma tells the therapist she's an only child. Continuity error or kept secret?
ReplyDeleteOr the opposite. They could easily change "Psycho's" ending by having Norman kill 'dark passenger Norma', as opposed to killing Norma.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall hearing a whole season of it either, but it was said that the show would build up to Psycho's ending by Cuse saying they know where they're going via source material (same for The Strain). So there may be a half season. However, I could see them change the ending a bit by having Norman imagine killing fake Norma instead and then going beyond the film...
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the second season? I don't want to spoiler you, if you haven't by answering this question.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Dillion may become the deputy at some point to further juxtapose season one's Shelby. Perhaps the final season leading up to the film events?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! Looks like they have a lot on their plate this season. Looking forward to it!!
ReplyDeleteActually I've only seen the 2nd season premiere and plan on finishing season 2 over the next week. Thanks for not spoiling. :D
ReplyDeleteSure! No problem! All I will say is that it does get answered. :)
ReplyDeleteBradley's coming back.Good news,i always thought her exit was a bit abrupt and rushed.
ReplyDeleteThis seasons sounds amazing!
NOOO!
ReplyDeleteI love Dylan!
