Hopefully, he's not completely at 100% when this goes down or that be really weird. But I know tv shows don't really like address injuries anymore when they no longer require them.
No more death? No! Lots and lots of death! Stop beating that drum and be realistic, Oliver. Please? Hey, if there was ever a time to put some people in the ground and send a message it's now.
OLIVER IS BACK!!!! I am so happy to see him in Arrow costume. Sin is there. Is that people of Glades fighting back with Team Arrow? So cool. At last people of Starling City is taking a stand. Awesome.
I'm so excited. This trio of episodes so far has been fantastic. And street war, hell yes! And Oliver's back and the team is awesome and I can't wait to see what happens after this and so much happiness.
The fact that you even need to apologize for this shows that there's something wrong with the world. Or that you're probably Canadian. I hope it's the latter :p
Seem like a battle between citizens from The Glades and perhaps some outside the area against brick and his men......I wonder if the SCPD will show up and help
HE'S BACK! THE EMERALD ARCHER IS BACK! Citizens of Starling, you're safe now. Your guardian angel is home ;) The Team's reactions when they see him will slay me BUT BRING IT!
I feel like it would make more sense if he just laid low for a while to recover but no, he ziplines across the city. If that doesn't alert the League of Assassins to his presence in Starling, I don't know what would. Unless there's a huge time lapse since last episode and he's actually fully recovered now. Which would be weird because I can't see him waiting to be in perfect condition before returning to Starling. Buuuuut I'm still very excited for his return. And Sin's!! Always liked her.
What if all of this chaos in the city is all orchestrated by Ra's al Ghul who got Brick free from prison in order to flush Merlyn out knowing he will want revenge for Rebecca? This would give Ra's the opportunity to kill him? I know the DJ is just one of the spy for demon head but Brick is the muscle while DJ is the eyes and ears
I just realized something. Since Oliver is in the Arrow suit then he must've been to the Arrow Cave. Which means FELICITY IS THE FIRST ONE TO SEE HIM. YAAAAY. Also the screen says "The Arrow Returns". :D That's right! He's back!
Yeah, I get it. Hero not killer, better person, symbol of hope, etc. etc. etc. I've accepted that Arrow is committed to this direction but I still fundamentally disagree with the idea that he can't / shouldn't take a life.
Dude just stop. I still wouldn't care. Look I like Laurel, but bringing her up all the time and starting shit by saying this stuff is very annoying and pointless. It just pisses you, me and a lot of people here off.
He shouldn't. Killing anyone doesn't solve anything. It merely gives the message an eye for an eye. It's not justice or right. It doesn't teach right from wrong, or allow anyone to fully understand the consequences of negative actions or behaviour. Or validate any morals like killing is bad as it makes it hypocritical.Look what happened with the Saviour. He ran with Oliver's killing to save the city and went nuts. It's not Oliver's fault, and you could argue that he could have snapped and killed anyway, but the message of killing did that. And that's a what if anyway. More importantly killing people by self admission tore Oliver apart inside, and giving in to such urges and killing destroyed Helena. It made Oliver cold, brutal and ruthless. It's not right. You want a message? Taking down Brick without killing is a message.
You haven't point anything out. All you did is lay down a really shaky hypothetical (you didn't even give a scenario or anything) and assume a reaction. That's not really anything.
if you look closely Diggle not carrying his usual weapon so I guess it the only way to stop Brick army with a better weapon...I sure he will use blanks for certain reasons
yeah but Brick just happened to cause chaos when Arrow is missing...it either good luck or someone told him to take advantage with the arrow not arround to watch over the city. It would really be a twist if he is just more than a crime boss and work for someone else
Killing anyone doesn't solve anything is just something people say in polite society. Of course it does. From John Dillinger to the Fort Hood shooting and countless instances in-between, lethal force has saved innocent lives and stopped bad people from continuing to do heinous things. I get that this character aspires to something greater and the show is intent on making him a symbol but they're compromising common sense and occasionally public safety to do so. Oliver's goal should never be to kill. He should never leave the Arrow Cave with the sole intent of ending someone's life. That's just wrong. But for the show to pretend that it's never necessary in his line of work, that he'll never be put in a position where it's necessary to take a life in order to save one or more lives, is ridiculous.
Anyway, It wasn't my intention to debate this point. It's just something I disagree with and will continue to do so. I have, however, accepted it like I mentioned earlier.
You want to save lives stop criminals without killing them and arrest them instead it does the same thing. Except not go against the idea that murder is wrong or that life is sacred and that it isn't ANYONE'S right to take that away.
In a perfect world that would be an option. Unfortunately there's no such thing. Successfully using non-lethal force on violent criminals during the commission of a violent crime and while protecting the innocent lives the criminal is trying to take isn't realistic. If it were, it would be standard procedure all across the world in every civilized society. Like I said, I'm not trying to debate this or convince anyone to change their minds.
I never said it couldn't be done. It absolutely can. My point is it can't be done every single time. You can't always bring a guy in. Sometimes you have to bring him down because they don't give you another option. Oliver's goal is bringing people to justice, as it should be. That's just not always possible if they want to be real about things. I simply wish they'd at least acknowledge that fact on the show. It's something police officers struggle with all the time. It would be good subject matter for a Quentin-centric episode.
And it's unrealistic saying that it can't be done. Pretty sure that's the preferred operating procedure in at least all western countries. But yeah I'm not really up for a debate.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
in fighting shape, which is weird but HELL YEAH HE'S BACK!!!!
ReplyDeleteHell yeah! Sin is back :D And wow, that fight scene between Brick and Team Arrow is going to be huge. Can't wait to see it all go down!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next episode. This trilogy has been great so far!!
ReplyDeleteHe's back bitches!
ReplyDeleteCool how Roy sees the green arrow in the guy's back. Just knowing.
ReplyDeleteMeh magic, plot device BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
ReplyDeleteSin!! (sorry I missed her)
ReplyDeleteHopefully, he's not completely at 100% when this goes down or that be really weird. But I know tv shows don't really like address injuries anymore when they no longer require them.
ReplyDeleteActually it looks like there is a decent time skip or at least that's what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteNo more death? No! Lots and lots of death! Stop beating that drum and be realistic, Oliver. Please? Hey, if there was ever a time to put some people in the ground and send a message it's now.
ReplyDeleteOLIVER IS BACK!!!! I am so happy to see him in Arrow costume. Sin is there. Is that people of Glades fighting back with Team Arrow? So cool. At last people of Starling City is taking a stand. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited. This trio of episodes so far has been fantastic. And street war, hell yes! And Oliver's back and the team is awesome and I can't wait to see what happens after this and so much happiness.
ReplyDeleteSIN!!!!! Yes!!!! THANK YOU!!!! Damn Oliver is so badass in that last part. I love it. But he's still not healed. That I don't like.
ReplyDeleteOmg Sin!!!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you even need to apologize for this shows that there's something wrong with the world. Or that you're probably Canadian. I hope it's the latter :p
ReplyDeleteOh thank all that's holy, Oliver is back.
ReplyDeletelol I'm Canadian! You got me!
ReplyDeleteSeem like a battle between citizens from The Glades and perhaps some outside the area against brick and his men......I wonder if the SCPD will show up and help
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this episode...what a season it's been to!!! Well done....favourite show this season for sure:)
ReplyDeleteHE'S BACK! THE EMERALD ARCHER IS BACK!

ReplyDeleteHe is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

ReplyDeleteWow this looks insanely epic. Can't wait
ReplyDeleteBy the way, remember the "photos" lol they were of Oliver (in the Arrow suit) and Arsenal fighting together.
ReplyDeleteI just realized something. Since Oliver is in the Arrow suit then he must've been to the Arrow Cave. Which means FELICITY IS THE FIRST ONE TO SEE HIM. YAAAAY. Also the screen says "The Arrow Returns". :D That's right! He's back!
ReplyDeleteMG said nobody is there when Oliver gets his suit. Felicity is in the van in the field.
ReplyDeletenah, i think Brick's just a mobster but cool theory
ReplyDeleteYeah I just saw :\ what a big disappointment that was :(
ReplyDeleteAh. Gotcha.
ReplyDeleteBut he doesn't believe he's a killer anymore. Plus the city needs the Arrow not the Hood or the Vigilsnte.
ReplyDeleteGod I love scrubs.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I miss JD and Turk so much.
ReplyDeleteI think he might be talking to Brick. Like you won't be killing anyone else.
ReplyDeleteCan't. Freaking. Wait. Someone stick an arrow in my eye, the freaking anticipation is too much.
ReplyDeleteEven better.
ReplyDeleteBut that would mean that you will come back next season with an evil plan to destroy Oliver or join the suicide squad!
ReplyDeleteI miss Brown Bear and Vanila Bear eagles.
ReplyDeleteI like that theory. I hope you're right.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I get it. Hero not killer, better person, symbol of hope, etc. etc. etc. I've accepted that Arrow is committed to this direction but I still fundamentally disagree with the idea that he can't / shouldn't take a life.
ReplyDeleteTheir friendship was epic.
ReplyDeleteOur guy is back! THANK GOD!
ReplyDeletenow if that was Laurel....
ReplyDeleteMerlyn sharpening his blade....KILL DJDOUCHE!!!
ReplyDeleteDude just stop. I still wouldn't care. Look I like Laurel, but bringing her up all the time and starting shit by saying this stuff is very annoying and pointless. It just pisses you, me and a lot of people here off.
ReplyDeleteThe Arrow returns is probably near the end of the episode. You can see that Brick seem to have been arrested......
ReplyDeleteYeah you're probably right.

ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeletecome on, if it was her people would scream and shout :P
But yeah let's end this before this reaches classic fighting levels (still I like pointing out fan hypocrisy)
yeah but Brick just happened to cause chaos when Arrow is missing...it either good luck or someone told him to take advantage with the arrow not arround to watch over the city. It would really be a twist if he is just more than a crime boss and work for someone else

ReplyDeleteThat would make a great dilemma. But ( though they've done that with Oliver) can't see an episode focusing on Lance happening soon.
ReplyDeleteThat's a perpetual nitpick of mine. Never enough Quentin.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I wish he could get a bigger role. Ah well at least Joe does a lot in The Flash.
