Looks like Digg and Roy are getting their asses kicked without Oliver Surprisingly, no photos of Laurel as the Canary. And so not interested in this Atom crap.
Why doesn't Diggle have a suit??? It's just wrong on so many levels at this point. Plus David Ramsey is such a good actor that he deserves more and the show would be better for having him elevated to the ranks of suited up heroes.
Awesome photos.Diggle and Roy filling in for Olivers absence. Also Ray working on the ATOM suit. I really hope they show the team mourning Olivers (supposed) death
Finally it seems they are dropping the Raylicity angle and going into Ray and Felicity making the Atom suit. Guggenheim said at TCA that they're not giving Felicity and Ray any love interaction. That's the story i want to see: Ray Palmer becoming the Atom and not some forced love story. It was awesome to see Diggle in the center of the action! I miss that soooo much. He and Roy MUST TAKE OLIVER'S PLACE. Not any other character. Not pics about Laurel, well i think it's 3x11 the episode she suits up. It was good that Berlanti said that Laurel isn't gonna be with Team Arrow, she's gonna go to Nyssa for help; wich is good since she has no relationship with Digg, Felicity and Roy. She will be a free agent like Sara was.
He's gonna put Oliver's suit acording to Ramsey. That's why he was in the panel at TCA: Aparently it was a panel about the character's that only use costumes(the costumes that were on display).
Looking forward to Roy and Diggle kicking butt in Oliver's absence. I'm guessing all these scenes take place in the first 5 minutes of the episode though.
Laurels helped a lot of people with her job as a lawyer and Roy has been doing vigilante stuff since season 1. But yeah I don't consider Ray a hero lol. :) at least not yet.
I agree - a suit doesn't make someone a hero and if he was in the Arrow cave all the time that makes sense. But when they are in the field and Oliver, Roy and Nyssa are suited up and Diggle is the only one in his own clothes he kinda stands out. Don't know how true it is but I think I read that they want Diggle and Lyla to run Argus then he won't need the suit. I just think that maybe the writers haven't worked out where he fits in. Hopefully they get their soon...
Yayyyy! Roy and Diggle kicking ass!! I'm so excited to see their dynamic in the field. Especially existed for Arsenal! Look out bitches! Arsenal's coming for ya!
You know this is one of the biggest issues i have with the writers. The change of Laurel from S1 to S2. Granted i didnt like that she relied so heavy on vigilante. I wanted her to see her in court winning a case, with her smarts and wits or even cunning. Then seeing corruption of the law system she could have slowly turned to vigilantism. She had an agency in CNRI & it could have been the perfect source of information to go after bad guys at night as a vigilante. She went from helping people to going to the DAs office. And from my perspective she went very easy on Moira, considering how she was after Tommys death. The destruction of CNRI did more damage to Laurels character then anything else. Well in my opinion.
I would've liked it a lot if she had gotten disillusioned with the justice system and turned to vigilantism. They always make such a mess of her, I don't understand it. She was perfectly happy prosecuting criminals in the season premiere, and then a few episodes later (when she went to the AA meeting and heard the story about the woman whose boyfriend beat her) she's all of a sudden realizing that domestic abuse victims fall through the cracks? She worked as low-income legal defense for who knows how long at CNRI, then she worked as a DA for over a year. She KNOWS this. She sees these people daily - they're the ones she should've been fighting for all along!
But no, all of a sudden she gets a wild hair to go chase some guy down with a baseball bat and gets her ass kicked, then figures out that "doing good" is a better high than pills or booze, and now, (per Katie Cassidy's comments at the TCA panel) she's gone from avenging her sister (which she never did well either, considering she got all ragey and active about finding her killer in half of one episode and never lifted a single finger to find the person again) to honoring her (by getting her ass kicked going after some guy who beat women, I guess?) to suddenly being her. Stupid. Unless someone calls her out on her reasoning for suiting up - but I'm not holding out hope for that happening.
I think his costume in general looks cool, but he needs a black mask - the red with the black eye paint underneath makes him look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
That would be the better way to go. As for right now, the only two character with a purpose are Felicity and Roy: one as the Tech Know-it-all and the other as the sidekick.
That's the reason Diggle seems off this season. Not because he's being used as a relationship counselor but because he doesn't have a place in the action(Roy took his place). So when Diggle takes the spotlight of the episode it literally sends Roy to the deep background and viceversa. The writers don't know how to make them co-exist.
That's also why i want Laurel to be a free agent, because otherwise even if Diggle goes to ARGUS and does the tactical standpoint, we'll be having the same problem with Roy and Laurel.
The best would be:
Oliver as the Hero. Roy as the sidekick. Felicity to gather data/info. Diggle to make the tactical planning. Laurel as a free agent(Like Sara was on Season 2A).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, no photos of Laurel as the Canary.

So will it be the next episode that Diggle puts on the hood then?
ReplyDeleteRoy and Dig don't seem to be doing well without Oliver. I wonder if that's before or after they find out.
ReplyDeleteUgh Ray ugh
Why doesn't Diggle have a suit??? It's just wrong on so many levels at this point. Plus David Ramsey is such a good actor that he deserves more and the show would be better for having him elevated to the ranks of suited up heroes.
ReplyDeleteLots of Felicity with Ray. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteDidn't David Ramsey say in the TCA panel that he doesn't want Diggle to have a costume to show that you don't need to have a costume to be a hero?
ReplyDeleteA suit/costume doesn't define a person.
ReplyDeleteThey need to at least give him a beanie or something to at least give his identity some cover.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos.Diggle and Roy filling in for Olivers absence. Also Ray working on the ATOM suit. I really hope they show the team mourning Olivers (supposed) death
ReplyDeleteLaurel doesn't put on the costume until the end.

ReplyDeleteNice to see Diggle in the thick of things.
ReplyDeleteRay and Felicity working on the Atom suit - I wonder when it becomes fully operational.
As always, Roy looks utterly ridiculous in the costume. I will never not laugh when I see him in it.
why don't you like it?
ReplyDeletei can't wait until Palmer puts on the full suit and officially becomes The Atom
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Roy and Diggle kicking butt in Oliver's absence. I'm guessing all these scenes take place in the first 5 minutes of the episode though.
ReplyDeleteLaurels helped a lot of people with her job as a lawyer and Roy has been doing vigilante stuff since season 1. But yeah I don't consider Ray a hero lol. :) at least not yet.
ReplyDeleteBecause, to me, it looks ridiculous.

ReplyDeletewell said .

ReplyDeleteI think it looks cool, but that's that's just me.
ReplyDeleteHe's not a superhero. That's why.
ReplyDeleteRelax they're not a thing.
ReplyDeleteShe's actually Black Canary. There is literally nothing to indicate that they're losing in these photos. Cool, I am.
ReplyDeleteit looks funny and makes Roy seem shorter then he is.
ReplyDeleteNever read the comics, who or what is The Atom? Please shed some light :-)

ReplyDeletehe's a superhero that can turn into the size of well an Atom LOL but he keeps the strength of a full-grown human
ReplyDeleteNot really than any other superheroes outfit. He's 5'9" no matter what he'll look short next to Amell and Ramsey.
ReplyDeleteThat would be the better way to go. As for right now, the only two character with a purpose are Felicity and Roy: one as the Tech Know-it-all and the other as the sidekick.
