I'm nervous about Laurel lawyering. Those scenes are usually really terrible and make her look like an idiot. I still remember when she mixed up perjury with obstruction of justice.
Wholeheartedly agree. Hopefully the writers actually do their research because I feel like when it comes to technical stuff, the writers tend to be lazy (half of Felicity's tech jargon isn't really correct or so I heard). And it shouldn't even be a problem because MG used to be a lawyer :p
In that scene, however, perjury and obstruction of justice isn't really interchangable because Ted wasn't under oath)
Not at all. Only because the lawyer stuff is nonsensical. I'd not be a fan of the tech jargon either if I knew what Felicity was talking about half the time :p
It is nonsensical. Yeah that's why hollywood hacker stuff (except when it's two ridiculous like two people using one keyboard) doesn't bother me a lot because I don't know anything about programming (through I do know it's more pre-assembled than fast typing but I guess that's less exciting).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Personally I think this promo is pretty eh. Why wasn't there a New Zealand promo? Those ones are always good.

ReplyDeleteThat's more on the writers. Though perjury can count as obstruction of justice.

True. They should, but if they don't I'm bothered but not to the extent that it affects my enjoyment of anything.
ReplyDeleteEh! To each their own :) Those little mistakes usually take me out of the scene which in turn affects my enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteFair :) So I take it you're no fan of the lawyer stuff?

ReplyDeleteI get it, this episode is very important after what happened in Episode 9, so they can't share too much. it makes fans thirsty for what will happens.
ReplyDeleteyou don't know computers and you know pre-assembled code? LOL
