Thanks to Galavant, every time I see clips of Vinnie Jones on Arrow I'm expecting Tim Omundson to show up at the end and ruin all the drama with his whiny bumbling.
love the idea of the 3-episode arc storytelling. Gives them more time to focus on the villains and developing them instead of finishing them off episode after episode. I could see a 23 episode season focus on 9 villains only without a real big bad but each villain being his own arcs big bad.
I know I am going to be slammed for this but I wish Katie Cassidy would have some other expression than blank stare when ever she hears a shocking news. Just lower the eyes, close it, wrinkle your forehead, tighten your lips or something else. Every scene is acted with straight face. Was she like this in all other roles?
I like the idea of a trilogy, but please Marc Guggenheim, can you stop saying it's our best episode yet for every episode? All that overhyping does no good because the episode will then disappoint vert quickly.
Katie's acting as Laurel is pretty particular to this character .People like Katie because she can act this role is nothing like the characters shes played before . In interviews Katie gives a more Felicity vibe than even Emily Bette , she definitely has lots of expressions. I think its what the producers want her to do so well thats it , lm sure she will eventually start smiling and lighten up with time. Thats why l love her.
I don't want her to be bubbly or animated like Felicity. She is not a place right now to be like that. I need more expressions on her face. She is always blank straight faced. I think it is an acting choice which is not working for me. David Ramsey in his panel acted out all his co stars and he did Katie's impression and I was like so it is not just me.
Look at Susanna Thompson's Moira. She is so put together but so many expressions pass through her face. A head tilt, a loooking up or down, closing your eyes anything other than this ram rod straight blank face.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteEven though I know Oliver will be back I also know I'm going to cry when his friends and loved ones think he's dead. Especially Felicity
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteMY BODY IS READY! I DON'T EVEN NEED THE FOREPLAY...
ReplyDeleteI say it again the action in this episode is going to be AWESOME but it's going to hurt so bad :(
ReplyDeleteLol that was intentionally gratuitously sexual.
ReplyDeleteHahaha brilliant.
ReplyDeleteGod i forgot how brutal he was stabbed there's no way he okay after that, this is going to hurt so badly AAAAARRRRRRHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking at Diggle delivering that sentence with Roy in the background was sad enough. Oh boy, i'm not ready for this.

ReplyDeleteWell a strong villain arc will give them a lot of cover and Vinnie Jones is awesome.
