    I'm guessing its either Diggle in Arrow-gear OR possibly Merlyn (especially since Merlyn is actually superior to Ollie in fighting skills due to League training and experience)

    I agree. Oliver's not supposed to return to Starling until 3.12 I thought, so it's either Dig or Roy. Either way, I'm really excited for these next three episodes, I really want to see the other characters come into their own without Oliver. Especially Felicity, I feel like her only purpose on the show anymore (besides her techy techy) is that she loves Oliver. Don't get me wrong, I love Felicity and try not to hate on any character in the show but the character needs more to her, IMHO.

    I don't even want to get drawn into this again but I just can't help it. I need to know how professional writers screwed up a strong and well-established character like Black Canary SO badly.


    It's the third season and almost no one wants to see her suiting up. It's pathetic. How do you manage that? Is there some bts drama? Is there a monkey at a keyboard writing Laurel scenes? I need to know.

    At last it looks like there will be some movement in Thea's story. I hope there is steady growth there. I have a feeling DJ douchebag might be Slade's son Joe.

    It's going to hurt seeing team Arrow grieving for Oliver. Will they let Laurel and Thea know Oliver is dead. How will they explain the death to Laurel? Will they reveal the Thea killed Sara bomb?

    Will there be few weeks time jump within the episode after team Arrow learns the news of Oliver's death from Malcolm (after 3 days according to synopsis)? That will be cool. It will make Brick's take over and Laurel putting on the mask really believable.

    So many questions... This was a solid promo. Everyone looked awesome.

    PS: CH is so pretty!!! That shot of him alone standing was just.... He is too pretty..

    They already announced Diggle will use the Arrow suit.
    Well, the "techy techy" is her function in the team and is the only character that has a defined place in it when Digg and Roy sometimes are sidekicks and on other episodes they're on the deep background. She already had 9 episodes with a story only about her becoming vice president of Palmer Tech, her own episode, etc... I think is enough, she's not the main character. Her mother is coming back.
    I would rather get more info on Roy or Ray, for example, and let Felicity rest a little bit.

    They appear to have reconceptualized Brick as a Kingpin-esque character. Wich is a pretty solid move.


    And Vinnie Jones is usually pretty damn good, so I'm excited ^^

    They have to tell Thea because her story this season is really getting on my nerves and plz don't tell her that Oliver is "backpacking through Europe" or climbing the Albs to explain his absence! Tell her that your psycho daddy forced him to fight to his death to protect her after dear old dad made her a killer.


    Brick looks cool, that episode is going to be awesome action wise.

    I think they will tell Laurel about Oliver's death but I am not sure they will reveal Thea is Sara's killer. If that is revealed Laurel will be all about killing Malcolm for revenge not saving people. If it is up to me know I will tell everyone be it Thea, Laurel or Quentin all the secrets.

    That is true, I do want more of Ray and Roy, but I feel like they filled a lot of Roy in with that episode that ended with the "Don't abandon me" and when he thought he murdered Sara. There was a lot of development for Roy even in the third episode when he let Thea go because he wanted her to be happy. Thea's another character I feel like they need to develop further, we get a tiny bit out of her and then we don't see her for a few episodes :/

    Season 1 definitely didn't end on a positive note but season 2 finale gave us closure. It left us feeling that we just watched a movie with a happy ending but the ms finale was different. Someone on Tumblr said that it was like someone snatching a book out of your hand after you just finished the most interesting chapter.

    It could be because they gave her a sister who slept with her then boyfriend who then survives and returns to Starling as Canary. They didn't do that in the comics. In the comics it was the mom who was Canary and out of envy or admiration the daughter wanted to be like her mom and get training from Ted Grant . That would have been so much simpler.

    It'd be weird to see her not take it poorly and I'm glad that she is. I've been baffled by a lot of comments recently saying Felicity's been ruined because of all the drama and angst (Olicity and otherwise) but if anyone were in her situation, who would be light and happy? It wouldn't be appropriate for Felicity to be like her jokey season 2 self this season what with Sara's murder, all that stuff with Oliver, her past coming back to haunt her, Ra's Al Ghul etc.


    I'm glad the writers are expanding her character and that she isn't that person who just delivers the punch-line anymore. I hope that the last half of the season builds her character more :)

    Sadly Felicity's whole storyline revolves around the men in her life. The same way it happened with Laurel in Season 1 and Thea in Season 2. I fear that the writers sometimes use the women to prop the male characters up.

    This was supposed to be the season of Felicity growing beyond being Oliver's IT girl. She finally got a backstory episode and a parents, she gets a new billionaire interested in her, she gets to be the VP of QC/PT, and she helps build the ATOM suit.


    If that didn't come across, they failed.

    Roy always gets the short end of the stick. They cut his episodes last season for more Slade and Lance Family and they're going to do it again for Laurel and Ray getting their costumes.

    Roy got mirakuru'ed, learned to fight from Oliver starting last January and has been a full vigilante for the last 8 months. Thea started learning to fight after the city fell, 8 months ago and is being trained by Malcolm Merlyn who was trained by the LoA. Sara and Oliver both spent 5 years being trained by people who were strong fighters
    Laurel has been taking boxing lessons for 3 months when she's got time away from her fulltime job. You don't have to be an Olicity shipper to roll your eyes at this one.

    We'll see what she does. If she were still a lawyer instead of a vigilante, she could go after Malcolm, but his fighting skills are way better than hers.
